    The video footage at the start was making my heart go pitter patter but with so much invested in my GH5 set up it's hard thinking about upgrading. Still this looks like a relatively cheap way to get into cinema cameras.

    Great summary Lee! As soon as I sell some older gear, that is my next housing.

      @AXM - Thanks so much for comments! The housing really is an amazing design, I think you'd be really happy with something like this. What are you shooting with now?

      @@reefphotovideo2774 it's a solid setup, no doubt. The NA-7iii housing is amazingly compact for a FF camera. Just wish the the white balance was easier on the A7iii and of course 4k/60p. Anyway, I have a 'need' (lol) for a better polecam than my recent gopro rig, so one of the flagship E2's quite tempting.

      @@axm2689 yeah the size of the Nauticam housing for that with the N100 port is hard to beat, plus it's so easy for travel. The white balance has always been problematic on the Sony's (Nikon too for that matter) in my experience too, lots of magenta color tinge to everything including the water. Red Filters help but not by a whole lot. I will say i was surprisingly impressed by not just how easy, but also how accurate the manual white balance was on the Z cam, even at depth. It's not perfect, but it's pretty darn good.
      I get the need part for new gear - I have a 1DXIII (which I also do love) now and I think I "need" another rig for Polecam and remote controlled surface feed work...hahaha :)

    Wish they would make these housing positively buoyant. Much easier to add trim weights to a bare bones set up than to add huge buoyancy accessories to a set-up with lights and monitor. But i guess that would mean they wouldn't sell as many accessories but it would make filming a lot easier with less drag.

      @reefphotovideo2774  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joshbainbridge5086 Hi Josh, You'll likely need to push ISO to get reach ideal exposure setting with your aperture/shutter speed in that murky water, but both the S6/F6/F8 all feature a dual gain ISO technology so using the "high" gain ISO setting actually works really well and will help significantly in those low light conditions along with a pair of good video lights.
