Why is Gambit fighting Kenshin?

2 things i hate about new anime is how clean everything looks and how the music is always so generic. Animation is fire but the style is just not there at all and I am someone who only recently watched the old one I didnt grow up with it at all cause I am too young for that. But the room is so brightly lit where the old one went for style having their eyes be the most visible things same with their weapons. Problem is with new animation, 1 they prob didnt care all that much for the project, 2 just because you have the ability to show everything doesnt mean you should, cause with Ranma and this show the things that seem to get left behind is like the soul of the story for flashy animation.

Everyone talking about the old animation being better, thats sad, this animation was good regardless, its unfair to compare it to such masterpiece of an animation that was the original.

So stupid to say "I will kill you now." right after your would've been decapitated if he was fighting with a regular sword.

If the old one this didn’t exist this would be fine, however that dramatism and direction style of the old one is unmatched making this new one seem quite basic

So disappointed... They totally missed the point of what made that scene so powerful. The lightning, the style, the setting it was all perfectly placed in the og. Here I only see an attempt to hype the battle and turn it into a Shounen style of battle.

Good effort. But the original one was better. It had more dramatic lighting and music...and the animation was more dynamic.

Old animation was more detailed even though it was 28 years ago.Kenshin's eyes were changing into yellow when he entered Battousai mode.

Not bad, but the original animation was THE FIRE!

Yeah, this has a very souless direction and bland atmosphere compared to the 90s version. I hope S2 Director does a better job but his profile doesn't look any better.

We don't need a remake

Kenshin vs Gintoki

Kenshin is far superior to all his enemies, if he had a normal katana, all his enemies drop dead so fast, using a non killing blade just proves how superior he is!

Original is better

Its the dialogues. The old anime dialogue had life in it.

Soma Saito is infinitely better than Mayo Suzukaze for Kenshin's voice. Both as the rurouni persona and as the manslayer persona.

The fight itself is dope. And the fact that it continues outside of the dojo is a nice change. Yes, the original is better. But in this particular case, the difference is smaller.

Is this remake series worth watching? Do they keep the spirit of the original or are there "modern audiences" changes? Just wanna know before investing time. Thank you.

Why are remakes so bad? the ranma 1/2 is really bad, and this one looks meh too, the original is great.

I had watched all my old anime’s and just two stand proudly hittokiri Battousai and Yu Yu hakusho Is just a breath of fresh air redoing this masterpiece
