Hey Rick I replace my Knock sensor. Once in awhile it will throw a code it's says the control Mode is getting a low circuit , please help what do I need to do to fix this . I have to Smog my Pickup to get Tags on it for. 2025. Russel

I have had issues in the past of knock sensors making my transmission shift funny. And it's currently doing it again. I think the last time I only replaced one of them. I'm doing both as we speak

I replaced two knock sensors and harness two weeks ago and today it says Bank one knock sensor code P0327 or PO 337. Guess I’ll have to go look again.

Maybe you have to pull the engine out just to change a battery has something to do with it

Hey man I got a question, I was told I had a small crack in the exhaust manifold gasket between the manifold and the catalytic converter it's super loud and I have no choice but to drive it a few more days before getting looked at , do you think I'll be alright and not cause any other damages it's a 2010 equinox 2.4 L engine

I take the cabin air filter out and never use it, it restricts air flow and makes the A/C work harder, I have never used one on any of my vehicles and the A/C has never gone out after 200K miles or worked when I sold the vehicle, it's a scam, they didn't even have cabin air filters on cars until the mid 90's anyway. Yea, it may cut down on pollutants from outside and keep small particles out of the A/C system, but it restricts the air down so much, I just never use a cabin filter, NOW the Engine air filter I do change regularly since it blocks dirt and debris from getting into the fuel system and fuel injector system, since I don't have a carburetor anymore, lol

I just fought my way through this to success. One of the biggies I didn't know was 3/4 to 1/4 tank of gas. I don't drive the car that often and had a full tank of gas. Then, I was trying to get the secondary air injection system to reset. I'd read that for VW you need to lock the doors for it to "count" for the computer. Again, we don't normally lock the doors and so that was delaying how long it took. I started this battle (Maryland) in October and have driven the car hundreds and hundreds of miles more than I'd ever drive in a normal year, in order to pass this stupid test. When people in neighboring states don't have emissions testing at all, it seems a pure government BS.

I see cars with tires where half the tread is worn off. It is clear that the owners do not have the tires rotated and now they need a wheel alignment, plus a new tire. Another thing people never do is change lawn mower oil. I got a 5,000 w generator for free. The guy said it ran for a minute or so and shut off. He never changed the oil. It shut off because the generator has a low oil sensor. All he had to do was add oil. The first thing I did was change the oil. These mistakes keep people like you in business.

I would not recommend driving with a bad knock sensor, you can indeed damage the motor

My 2002 silverado 4.3 has about 250k miles fluid still looks clean almost getting a dark red should i just do a drain and refill or drop the pan and replace filter as well?

So if you have average or slightly lower high side pressures and above average low side pressures. Let's say 200 on the high and 60 on the low 110 degrees out side and 0% humidity. Your telling me my condenser can't be restricted causing these pressures?

Yah I noticed it not blowing cool air and finally noticing temperature gauge was very hot on engine. My mechanic friend told me to check water level in reservoir bottle and fill it and turn heat on to max . Had bubbles in my cooling system. Had to get rid of them

I replaced both knock sensors when I redid my oil pressure gauge and I replaced the harness too and now my engine light is coming on telling me it’s a knock sensors. Hopefully, it’s not faulty from new.

What tools would be required to test the pressures of the compressor?

Oil change prices have gone drastically out of control now its like 80 dollars to change my oil at a store and only like 30-40 to change at home but yeah 3 years ago changing oil at home vs a oil change place... take 5 was my go to, now they want 80 bucks its too much man, i get it but there really is no reason to pay double the cost.

How do you know? Put all your windows up mid day on a summer day. If you end up drowning in swamp å$$ within 10mins, you need to recharge your ac
