@ It is worth the trip. At some point I will go back to see the museum. I was amazed at what all I could see just walking around.

I loved the town. I will let you know when I am going back. I definitely want to see the museum. I would also love to see the decorations at night but I'm not sure if I will be able to attempt this before Christmas.

It is cool to walk around. I enjoy visiting the area. I found another park a few miles from there that I had never been to. At some point I'll release that video.

I love the town. I included the mural on a video I did a while back on Point Pleasant. It is the coolest flood wall I have seen. I actually went back to do a new video on the museum. I may eventually do a video just on the flood wall.

@@thetravelingunderwood Although I technically live in the city, my house is located in an area that makes it feel much more country because the forts forest is across the street. During winter I feed a herd of about 20 white tail deer and there's all kinds of wildlife across the street and in my yard (I have a bit more than half an acre). I escaped south Florida 2 years ago and this is where I landed. Life is tough here because of RINO republicans but I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be.

I do apologize for the mispronunciation of Marlinton. I realized it after the video was up. I knew better but still said it wrong. I like the baconator comment. This was my second video ever and if I had to do it again I would add more background on what I showed. A couple places I was seeing for the first time such as the old mill.

It was an enjoyable game but yes it had dust.

That is amazing. I knew at one point people could go inside the mound. That would have been incredible.

My brother and I had spent a couple days doing the Hatfield and McCoy stops. We were heading back to his house part way between Huntington and Charleston. The route we were taking took us by Louisa and we stopped by. I love walking through towns and loved my stop in Louisa and decided to do a video of the town.

It is a beautiful drive in all seasons. I would love to do a spring and fall drive on 250.

It was a great race. I wasn't sure how the modern cars would do but they did very well.

Racing was great. Crowd count was OK. Thursday was a tough night to get a great crowd. I saw some pictures from tonight and it looks like they will have a decent fan count tonight.

Friday night was a pretty packed house

It was great to see the rebirth of a track I had been going to since the 1970s. Your right about the banking. I'm not sure if I will make Saturdays race but I wasn't going to miss the first night back.

@@thetravelingunderwood yea maiden runs dont come very often anymore, and on dirt tracker daily there was talk of possible rework of the layout or working on the creek and bridges and so on so maybe we see it widen out from the sort of egg shape we see right now, I got to see first night comp at circle city in indy at the county fairgrounds there, it was rough and rocky but it was fun and won by tyler courtney who was born and raised in indy making him not only a hoosier but a local though indy metro is big of course, but I decided he was the one I would cheer for and he won, it was also the day of tony stewards 50th birthday and it was the allstar sprints and 3/4 midgets that raced that night, with the sprints having the first a main, it was on the thursday though so crowd prob wasn't as big as could have been but it was decent, kind of dusty though still is thats how it seems the dirt tracks are in the midwest, I would say kokomo is even worse but has that wider first turn so they can really wind it up but you just get sandblasted sitting in the front row no matter where you sit there the racing is furious though especially with sprint cars though saddly its really series and specials only anymore, but till a few years back had weeklies, understand though about the races they take time and money and nothing cheap anymore, but racing even high level is cheaper then any concert or other pro sports event really unless its really niche, though you do get a little dirty at a dirt track. we are pretty much done in indiana though I think the halloween show at montpiler might be it as far as this region save for drag racing for a few more weeks it just has to be above 45 for the tires and surface prep to work, so it can go a bit longer. well chao

@@manga12 Thank you for the info on the racing scene. I love dirt track racing and this race is one of the last in my area for the year. It is costly at times but I will gladly pay to enjoy it.

I always love to stop there. It is amazing how they built this section of road and the views are amazing.

I checked the maps and it looks like at the corner of Pike and Woods streets. I'm not completely sure on that but it is the best I can see on the maps.

It was the perfect day for the drive and it would have been a great day for the Ducati. I've heard from friends that the state is a great place to ride.

@thetravelingunderwood one of our great times was our 2 up Ducati ride to San francisco then flight ✈️ to Hawaii to see my sister ❤️ then return to Allentown!! Our country is so beautiful 😍

@@arthurmchugh5184 It is a beautiful country. I wasn't in that cool of vehicle but I did Route 66 in 2021. I plan on doing it again in 2026 for the 100th anniversary of the road.

Great memories. I've started going there in the 70s. Always enjoyed it. They have added more seats since I did this video. It is amazing how much work they have done in a short time. Hopefully they are successful.

Originally they were going to have VIP parking at the track but the website says no on that now. I am guessing there is none available but I am not completely sure.

@@thetravelingunderwood off site parking about 2 miles free shuttle tonthe track their are places around close save a lot doing limited parking for 20 dollars first come first serve basis. Some surrounding roads like bunnels rd and water plant rd beside the track

@@ChristopherWest-hc3nr I knew about some of the offsite parking. The shuttle is only running Friday and Saturday unless they have changed it.
