    I've got a very large red mulberry tree in my backyard overlooking my own garden. The tree is about 40 feet (roughly) tall and very large. The kids and I harvest as many as we can by placing a tarp underneath a branch and shake the branch vigorously. The ripe mulberries fall onto the tarp. Very tasty berry. I'm in Keller, TX.

    I have the same problem with my 3 year old Hosui pear tree. The tree doesn't have many branches, so I keep cutting off the infected branches. Pretty soon, I will have no branches on the tree. I will have to remove the tree, so it doesn't infect an apple tree right next to it. It's a shame that the nursery who grafted this tree still sells those trees knowing that they are very susceptible to this fire blight. I bought it from a local nursery who got it from the bigger nursery Dave Wilson in southern CA. Some other pear varieties are not susceptible to fire blight. I will buy other varieties next season.

    Wild paw paw in Virginia taste varied a lot but nothing expected if you have eaten a few cultivars. From watery to almost firm but not as firm as Susquehanna. They are varied from bland (maybe underripe when picked) to very sweet. The smell is anywhere from horrid (closer to stink bug but not that bad) to Sweetsop or Mango. I found that the bitter is in all paw paw around the seed and skin. That is also varied a lot with wild paw paw. The best one is just as good as the Mango and Susquehanna. However, it's smaller and with more seed.

    Hello Chi, I live in Wenatchee Washington Here we have a very short like 195 days growing season. If you can include Early or Late ripe, JUJUBE and PAWPAW or other fruit plant variety that would be wonderful. Here in Wenatchee Washington. I Only can grow Early Ripping type of fruit tree. I have Black Sea, Autumn Beauty, Sugarcane, Honey Jar, GA 866, Coco, Empress Gee, Confetti JuJube all this Ripen ok. But( Tiger tooth Jujube) never ripe on time so I get rid of it . for PAWPAW I Have Pennsylvania Golden, NC-1, Taylor that I have fruit. Mango Pawpaw and Susquehannas don't have fruit yet may be this year 2024. Thank for your video about England's Orchard & Nursery, I order Pawpaw Scion wood from them, Green River, Lehman, 2-10, Tropical treat. They sold out Al Horn white ,this one I wanted the most. I don't know is all this Pawpaw are early or late variety. Do you know? They have a lot of variety JUJUBE but I don't know with are the early ripen one. Thank you , Love watching your video.

    Some pawpaw like Wabash oxidize brown fast. Nyomi's, Tallahatchie & Shenadoah oxidize very slow. They need to be picked very ripe & let sit off the tree for a lot longer than most others. You eat Tallahatchie green!

  • @Pay-It_Forward
    @Pay-It_Forward 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The (Tallahatchie) obviously wasn't ripe, as not supposed to be firm & is usually 27% sugar. Green River Belle & Horn are around 21% sugar. Need to let fruits get ripe before picking.
