Amazing this doc. The Tillies WWC 2023 campaign is not also the best finish of Australia in history but a mark of the renaissance of Asian women's football (also with the great campaign of the Nadeshiko Japan in NZ) which got back the spotlight to a continent that historically was a powerhouse in women's football. My first viewing of your podcast ... thank you! Star of the show, surely, is Kiara ... her description of the long build up to the NZ match and the team's reaction to winning was inspiring! I'm looking forward to next month's pod ... the Tillys WWC adventure received saturation media coverage here, as you would expect ... even bumping Australian rules football off the tv screens for the first time ever! Their success seems to have created, almost overnight, an excitement here about the women's game which is continuing to build support, even a year later. Recruitment among girls' teams in some states has reached saturation point ... there are cries for financial help to build new training facilities. In the run-up to the Olympics even friendly matches featuring the Matildas are sold out in a couple of hours with stadiums seating up to 70,000 packed to the roof with screaming women and girl fans in the majority. REPENT SOCCER LEAGUE

Men's football is WAY BETTER than women's football. I am referring to Crowds/spectators women games are more like golf claps but the men's game has proper atmospheres. Women's matches can pull full house crowds as well as the men the only difference is CROUDS/ATMOSPHERES make the match men rule when it comes to a matchday experience, women it's pathetic women can play in front of a full house and it sounds like the Sunday local side Women have every right to play football but when it comes to the atmosphere WE RULE It's ironic women were not allowed to play football in WW2 and now have achieved more than men.

How wonderful to hear God save the King sung with such gusto in Sydney Australia.. This gave me tingles all over. The Lionesses gave a great game and should be very proud of themselves.
