My first viewing of your podcast ... thank you! Star of the show, surely, is Kiara ... her description of the long build up to the NZ match and the team's reaction to winning was inspiring! I'm looking forward to next month's pod ... the Tillys WWC adventure received saturation media coverage here, as you would expect ... even bumping Australian rules football off the tv screens for the first time ever! Their success seems to have created, almost overnight, an excitement here about the women's game which is continuing to build support, even a year later. Recruitment among girls' teams in some states has reached saturation point ... there are cries for financial help to build new training facilities. In the run-up to the Olympics even friendly matches featuring the Matildas are sold out in a couple of hours with stadiums seating up to 70,000 packed to the roof with screaming women and girl fans in the majority.
