I'll be waiting for a CVT that actually acts like a CVT

Get the new VB. I have one and I have no experience with wrx's. But I think it's a blast to drive and it's plenty fast. It almost never goes in to boost in normal driving conditions. But I make sure it goes into boost at least a little every time I drive it.

Finally honest review by a real person. CVT is as you said excellent for busy environment and if you are good driver and have mostly back roads manual could be a lot of fun I have driven manual for 17 years but it comes time when at least for me especially on all wheel drive stock engine automatic makes my life easy and it makes sense .

I'm 40 y/o, and I have a 2018 STI with approximately the same bolt on setup as you. BEST damn car ever... I frankly don't give any forks about what anybody thinks about the WRX or STI, these cars are phenomenal driving machines. On wet windy roads in the winter, very few other cars can hold a flame. It's the combination of power with traction that creates a magical driving experience for me. I've driven Teslas, and I like my STI more! The only car that I honestly like more is my buddy's Porsche 911 ;-)

You still have the 2019 STI? how many miles now? Also you planning to keep it now that they stop production of the STI?

Bought my 2014 hatch used with 108k. Fresh short block, all stock. Valve spring cracked before second oil change and i caught it early. Burned up an exhaust valve not too long after and added some goodies to push 300ish during the rebuild. Got carried away playing with launch control and hurt a rod bearing. 10k in mods later and as long as i don't play with launch control i feel pretty good about daily driving it. Os it nice to have the sauce when i want it? Yes. Is it really worth it? Probably not. If i had to build one again I'd keep it 80% stock and just go for flex fuel, clutch, downpipe, catback, and an AOS. Spend the rest on handling.

Thank you for sharing this, I might have found the problem to my Golf mk4 that I was struggling for years, I've gotten used to it this way until I saw your video. My engine didn't die, but it has the same rough idle and stuttering with some random misfire to cylinder 3 on cold engine, no oxygen sensor error.

It's hard to beat the new General G Max as 07 new model. Great reviews, great scores on Tire Rack and a very reasonable price. And .....got to love the silver WRX. Clean and beautiful.

Appreciate it , my 11 Camry started just dying on me after it warmed up one day, then started acting normal again. O2 sensor voltage keeps dropping when I check. I was thinking it’s the fuel pump but she always starts . I also get that drop off that you shown when hitting the gas and letting the rpm’s go down and hitting it again

Really wish these were stouter slightly bigger turbo and it’s a time bomb. 20g on a k series will go 300k

My AFR gauge just reads “sens”. Idles high at like 1100 then out of nowhere it will drop drastically and the car almost shuts off. Would this be my issue?

Did any of the setups ever have any drone. I have a catted DP and wanted to be sure if i put the AWE on that I didnt get drone

Thank you so much for the video because I was just throwing part at my Chrysler 300 3.5 not realizing I never changed my 02 sensor. I’ve changed almost everything else. Timing belt, water pump , Spark plugs , cam&crank sensor etc . But never the o2 sensor because it never gave me a code but after changing fuel pump, muffler delete , and cold air intake. My o3”2 sensor was shooting up to 11.7 sometimes 12 so I should’ve known. So the 02 sensor was making my car stall and sometimes misfire.

I have a second hand 2015 sti with 315.000 km,s, Its my daily and bone stock but I've maintained it well and it still runs fine, regular maintenance and not thrashing it is the key

Mod the stuff you touch regularly. Shifter. Steering wheel. Interior lights.

Hi I don't own the same car but I have been running lean kind of like how you explained it with air fuel learning going negative then back to zero, did your car feel slow also? Besides having no check engine light on?Oh and did car feel better with sensor unplugged so I can try doing that before buying a new one? Thank you for your video 👍

exactly what my 2.5 Forester is doing after plugs coils pcv valve EGO valve clean fuel pump r&r and lastly O2 sensors( from China) awaiting Denso sensors to arrive..in meantime perhaps I'll unplug front O2❤

I plan on owning and building these things as long as I’m around. Got Subaru fever 20 years ago and haven’t looked back.

So I’m guessing that if you heavily modify it, it’s a time bomb.

Subimods and speed will tell you you need an adapter and gasket period!! I just installed my first exhaust, awe and I didn't need either

If i upgrade just the turbo is that a bad thing? maybe a tune along with it Im sure…

The redline's IAT is 10 degrees lower than that of the SF intake in my experience but the sound is way quieter even without the block off plate.

Just wanted to say, this resolved the issue I was having with my 2017 WRX STI and the RPMs surging. Took some work but got the O2 Sensor replaced. Found this very helpful in the research to get it resolved. Thanks!

Quick question. Could you not get to it from the top? Also do you have to drain the coolant? I’m thinking if you pinch the lines that might do the trick.

was their any symptoms causing this clean? 2011 wrx popped a code for mass air flow sensor high circuit, think maybe it needs a cleaning or replacement

Just ordered my set a couple Months ago, and they just arrived a few weeks ago.Cannot wait to install them! I got the x1 classics with long travel an 7k springs. But his customer service is second to none. He is an absolute pleasure to deal with. He doesn't talk down to you. He doesn't treat you like an idiot. He answers any and every question you have. He gives you honest opinions and advice! He never once really tried to upsell me to the next most expensive thing, it was Always about the coils themselves, And the conditions I was building them for. Cause I live in new hampshire and half the roads are paved, an thenones that are, are nothing but potholes, and then everything else is all dirt and gravel. So he helped me build, you know, the exact perfect set, I need for that type of driving conditions, And we'll see I cannot wait to install them.Just been too busy. Also dumb question What are those orange disc's tho?

Hello from Australia, 1st subaru I've owned, it's a 22 premium wrx with 23,000km on it 1000 of those km are from me as i bought it with 20000 on it . I have a coolant issue, air in the system. It has a r400 catback which is only 1,500 km old, a short shifter for the 6 speed and that's it. Coolant was flushed and replaced by a dealer. Drove it twice and it pushed coolant out of the radiator cap, also it doesn't overheat. Any idea on what's going on.
