I wonder … what if you did all the fun stuff and the read aloud time for 2-3 hours!! I wonder if sll the skills need to take 3 hours Plus adding in all that other stuff Running a house and cooking abd cleaning and managing take sooo much time… not many moms czn truly do homeschool time for 5 hours a day Wow!!!😊

When I get my AAR curriulum in the mail, I go ahead and prep the entire book. I put each lesson's sheets in a page protector and label lesson number and what is needed ie which reader, if it needs the iPad for the tiles, etc. (I highly recommend the letter tile app where you can move the tiles!!) I separate all the cards and add them to that lesson's page protector. I laminate the letter sound cards since we use those continuously and we just do all the leap words and 10 words cards each day and cycle through. I keep the bulk of the page protectors in a 3" binder and then keep 20 or so in a small binder that we use daily. It makes the curriculum grab and go! It works great and my boys love the lessons. ❤

Are these the same as the old Emma Serl hardcover books? I have the Primary and Intermediate language lesson books by Emma serl. And not much space lol so I just like that they're tiny.

I'm really excited to do this program with my girls in 2 yrs! We currently do Latin as a foreign language and our McGuffey readers come with a plan that includes English from the roots up 😊❤ this should really blend nice for us!

is the kindergarten curriculum ok for4 year olds?

Hello! Did you ever do adventures in US history for a second grader? That’s what my oldest should be moving onto next year, but if I don’t use it again for my younger children because they should join the family cycle, than I am trying to find out if I should spend the money on it. Thanks!

This is gold. I agree this is the most important of your encouragement videos so far. I used to have more of a routine with the Bible but lately it’s gotten off and I’m fitting it in at random times. Do you read your Bible on your own before your kids are up? I feel like this would be ideal but lately I’ve been sleeping in.

We do bible and all read alouds during breakfast and I think I got this idea from you several years ago. I find that my kids are more of a captive audience while they are eating so it works for us. Some of our best school time and life lessons happen during morning time. Thank you for the ideas! I always forget about books on you tube!

This is the first year out of five that we have actually done well with Morning Time. We do Bible, Hymn, Memory verse memorization, recitation, poetry and then a loop of a Nature reader, Artist, Composer, Geography and surprisingly Shakespeare. 😂 My daughter actually likes it this year!

We’ve never had luck with our libraries having the book basket books. I never thought to just TH-cam them! Great idea! Thanks for sharing.

We have never done a morning basket because it's just my little one and myself. I've always felt like it was something I wanted but knew he wouldn't be receptive to "extra" work. But this makes it so doable!! We're doing Bible anyway, just pull the readalouds along with it in the morning and snuggle a little longer instead of rushing off to the school room! I can do that! And I'm pretty sure he'll be receptive to the TH-cam read alouds to get some screen time before school. 😆 🤣 Such a great solution, and one I'm thankful you pointed me to.

i love that I can request all the books from the list, and they are waiting for me at the front desk in and out. I also am so very thankful our library did away with fees since I always seem to lose one for a time😂

I have developed a habit of daily Bible reading, but I am not always as good at daily prayer time besides meals and bedtime with the kids. I need to work on that. Good tips…make it like putting on underwear in the morning. 😂

I'd love to hear more about the block scheduling. My 3rd grader is a bit overwhelmed at the amount of work. I think he's a bit in shock still 😆 🤣 but I've heard it gets a little better the 4th or 5th week. But we are loving it so far!!

So smart to use a brownie mix that recipe came out 🤮 I love the ECC group I'm in so many great files. We finally week 5 decided to shelve Properties of Ecosystems. I have a third grader.

I’ve been doing the Chronological Bible Reading plan from Daily Grace Co. and that has been really interesting. I think I’m on my fourth or fifth read through now, but it’s been different doing it this way.

I’m really enjoying this new series! Simple things we can do to set ourselves up for success. Pure gold. Keep it up!

I watched this video this morning while in my jammies still at 10am. 😂 I had only been up for an hour so it’s not like I’d been up super long. It made me stand up and go get myself ready! Luckily I was dressed and ready because an hour or so later my father in law showed up and I had totally forgotten that he was coming to visit today. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
