great video but can you name the colors on your pallet please
From top right to bottom left-lead white, yellow ochre, cadmium red, transparent red oxide, burnt umber, ultramarine blue, ivory black, scarlet lake, transparent yellow oxide, and oleogel
Is the white used to create a glow for the layers painted over it ?
Exactly
Very beautiful
Wonderful I learn a lot
Thank you for posting this elps a lot because this is exactly what I'm trying to practice right now!
Messi está frustrado porque não ganhou nada por essa razão o criticou! Até a gora estava muito caladinho!
Magnifique Merci Beaucoup Tyler Hughes Bloavez Mat 2025 .
❤
This is amazinggggg!!!!
From one artist to another.. beautiful work.❤❤
Would like to know your starting process!!
Impressive. I’m curious how you drew before painting, was that with a brush or a pen/pencil?
Thanks! I cover the back of my drawing with charcoal and trace my lines onto the canvas
@ fascinating, thanks!
Although this copy has captured the forms pretty accurately, however there are many of the finer subtleties present within the original that are lost. Which demonstrates how masterful the artist was painting the original portrait.
And what are these finer subtleties?
Your jumps were leaps and bounds
Genial.
I’ve always loved this piece!❤
Очень хорошо👏👏👏👏

Great video, thanks for sharing
This is the best thing I've seen !
Grisaille is one of the best techniques for painting with great detail, although the alla prima technique is very good for reproducing masters such as those of the new figuration of the London school.
Fascinating. Great work. Do you transfer your drawing, or sketch in before painting?
Transfer my drawing
Excellent Painting Mam
Fabulous artwork!
Please add more starting techniques of the under painting!
I think you’ll get some of more subtle shifts in temperature on the flesh if you underpaint with a pale green for your lights rather than straight white. Some of higher key tints get a bit a chalky. Still, great job. 👏
I’ve been wanting to start experimenting with oil paint’s because I really like renaissance style paintings
Gee . . . even a tiny bit of verbalization would have helped , , , you know . . . here's what I used and why . . . why I did this or that . . . this is my palette . . . you know, something helpful.
Thank your vedio Excellent work👍 I am beginner hobbyist painter i have things to clarify ,first you you draw values with thin earth tone then apply thick white after drying subsequent layers by blending with thin colors..am i correct ? What are the solvents you use.
Beautiful
Fabulous
Hi. Just want to know what are on your palette?
He's probably using Flake White, also called Lead White. It's warmer and more transparent than titanium white. It looks like he's using a gel medium from a tube. Possibly Gamblin solvent free medium. I use it. The darker color is probably either Van dyke brown or Burnt Umber. I'm practicing oil sketches in grayscale like this and it's what I use. He's doing a great job here!
I looked at the creator's comments and he uses RAW Umber for his darks.
👌✨
Absolutely love this!
needs more layers imo
I invite you to do a copy with more layers
That drybrush technique for blending 👏👏👏😍
Too bad no one explains what is going on in this work method. It makes little sense to anyone who doesn't know . . .
.....the old slow way to paint. It was because of limitations.
🔥
Fantastic painting Learn for me. Great.
A lovely copy. Thank you 👍🇬🇧
the base layer alone made the piece standout--- wonder why I get scared underpainting before getting into the main piece
Ayo rlly good 👍🏻
stunning
🤍
wher is the sec from 17 :45 to 17 :59 the best part 😢
Paint the white canvas brown, and then white again, and brown again, why?
Niceee
