Jeanette and I have traveled to almost eighty countries and territories worldwide and love to share some of our experiences with our family, friends, and any intetested persons.
I regret not having started this hobby earlier when I could have made interesting videos of our visits to Morocco, Turkey, Greece, Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, China and many other interesting places.
This is simply a hobby that I throughly enjoy with no intention to monetize. I learn from making mistakes but I am happy that there are several people who tell me that they live vicariously through these videos and look forward to watching them. Many of them can no longer travel.
If I bring just a little pleasure to even one person, I am satisfied.

Awesome job capturing the essence/vibe of Canmore. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. In my videos, I try to capture a fair representation, although not always the entire experience, of time spent in the location, as they also serve as stored memories for later on. Cheers. Roger
Professional presentation of Canmore! Have been to Canmore on numerous occasions. Have close friends who live there! But have never seen Canmore from such varied angles! Well done & Beautiful 👍
Thank you. Perhaps you should share this with your friends who may also appreciate it. Cheers.
Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing your excellent new travel videos this year!!! 🎉❤
Thanks. We will try our best but it may be a while before the next. Have a look at the east Balkan series.
Great video as always. Vibrant city and looks very livable. Thanks for the upload.
We absolutely loved Tirana and the rest of Albania.
Lovely video Roger and Jeanette. Happy new year
Thank you. We are pleased that you like it.
Vlad wasn't the ruler of Transilvania, he was even imprisoned by the ruler of Transilvania, Matei Corvin, who was paid by the Rome Papa to help Vlad in the fight with the otomaman turks, instead he spent the money for his properties and tried to say that Vlad betrayed. Vlax ruled the south of Romania, called Vallachia.
I stand corrected, but the certified tour guide provided that information. Perhaps he wanted to not complicate the story. Thank you for commenting. That's how we all learn.
What you drank was actually grapes juice. "Must" suppose to be a bit fermented and a bit sparkling...
While I appreciate your comment, that information was given to me by both my host as well as the waiter where we enjoyed the drink. I have to agree that it did taste like grape juice, though.
Looks like 😢a great stop.😊
Yes! Tirana is a fascinating city.
You guys are so lucky, seeing the world like you do, absolutely wonderful 😊
It's always been our desire. No luck, just proper planning.
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025. Love, Dawn❤

Albania looks interesting! Thanks for sharing!
We absolutely loved it and will likely return linking it with a fifth visit to Italy and the next time, the heel area.
Glad you had such a great time. Love your enthusiasm for life.
Thanks James. Albania follows Roger
Nice video!
I am pleased that you appreciate it. I am excited to publish Part 2 on Sunday. Roger
Welcome to Macedonia my friends! 🇲🇰🇲🇰 You must visit Ohrid and Bitola as well!
Thank you very much. We found the people in your country wonderful and kind. They greatly added to the case for a return visit to explore much more. Roger
You guys are really enjoying life, good for you, long may it continue 😊
Yes! Thank you!
Always enjoy your commentaries Roger. It's like being there with you. You pick out all the intricate and poignant artistry and relics etc that would otherwise just be passed by. Fascinating about the Bridge of Lies and the 'eyes' on the building across from it.
Thank you.
Very surprising how much they have recovered from their dreadful past. The city is very impressive. The architecture amazing. Thanks for taking me with you😊
The ten years as an EU member have benefitted the country in five key areas. It's all good.
Imagine that 35 years ago there were almost darkness and no food anyware in the city. All markets were EMPTY, bread was rationed (250 grams /person/day) no chocolate, no oranges or bananas, no pepsi, nothing.
@@Indimenticabildue to the EU rules accepted as a member, Romania lost three times more money than the EU allocated for the country development. So EU it's a method of draining money for the rich companies of the western countries.
@@ionelghiorghita688 - False - russian lies - russian troll. In 16 years as a member (2007-2023) Romania received in total of 90,84 billion euro, and paid 29.21 billion euros So that's an extra of: 61.6 billion The EU budget for 2021-2027 is 1.8 trillion euros, of which 80 billion is allocated to Romania.
Great video and a great vlog, glad you liked the trip. Except one little issue with your observations: - the building at 4:57 is going to he the Mariott Hotel. It's not a residential building. And EU funds aren't used for buildings, let alone residential.
I am pleased that you like my video. I appreciate your correction about my assumption also. I make videos of our vacations so we can enjoy them in later years and share some on TH-cam for friends and others. Cheers, Roger.
Very good video Could you tell me what you mean by satellites I'm not sure what that is. Thank you for showing the operation of the drone it was very interesting how to set it up Also I live in Auburn Bay but I have walked past your building and in many streets in Seton for exercise and it's neat to see places I haven't seen before. Thank you for it all.
Thank you. I am glad that you appreciate it. The drone uses satellites for navigation. Roger
Thank you so much and if you had flown your drone when I was out walking you would have seen me because I do walk down to rangeview quite often for exercise. Thank you for the fantastic tour and I still don't know how this is a garden to table community. I'm quite surprised at the small Bush that still left as well as the progress on the roads connecting the community.
Apparently, residents will be able to grow food, so I assume that they will build an indoor area for that purpose because of our weather, but the sales office would be able to clarify that.
Lovely, thank you Roger and Jeanette xx
I am glad that you like Sofia.
My house is building there and you video it❤😂❤
Enjoy living there.
Thank you for sharing your experience visiting my country! It was lovely watching you and I hope you would visit us again some day!
Thank you. Sofia was merely a taste. It would be wonderful to see more of the country. I know of one Canadian who is going to live in your country. Cheers, Roger
Great video. 👍
Thanks 👍
Never imagined that Sofia would look so interesting . I feel inspired to visit after watching your video. Thank you.
Thank you. I appreciate your comments and encourage you to visit the Balkans. They were eye-opening to us. Where are you located? Roger
Hi Roger and Jeanette, Beverly here. We were in Romania last year for a few days prior to picking up a river cruise. We too loved it, great food, very hot but I have to tell you that the thing that sticks out in my memory was the visit to Ceausescus mansion as one of our group fell backwards through one of the internal windows in the upstairs lobby. It was terrifying. Poor guy was an American about your age and travelling on his own. My first thought was "Oh my God, he is going to die" and my second was that he had wrecked their historical momument! The glass was gold and patterned and I would love to know if they had to replace it with different glass. Anyway poor guy was in hospital for a few days and then returned to the States and wasn't able to join the river cruise. Lovely city indeed.
Yes, wonderful country and hospitable people. Roger
Another wonderful travel video, thanks or sharing! Bucharest looked beatiful, but I don't know if my heart could survive the diet. We really liked the summary at the end where you gave your impressions of the different aspects of your trip.
I appreciate your comments. I will soon publish the Sofia stint. Best wishes. Roger
Beautiful video as always. Bucharest is really nice. Thanks for the upload.
Many thanks!
Good job as always, Sutherland. Interesting place. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. I am working on Sofia now with Skojpe and amazing Albania later. Cheers. Roger
Great information and recommendations- really beautiful Bucharest! On my bucket list! Thank you both!
Thank you. I am working on Sofia now, followed by Skopje, and then an amazing nine days in Albania. Roger
Lovely, but surprised at Lle Nastasie's home, looks quite ordinary and right on the road. Otherwise, your videos always a treat
It's in a very high-end area not far from Ceausescu's summer mansion and a host of other huge mansions. He's a simple guy anyway.
Most of Romania is Orthodox and that "Traditional Clothing" you showd is not Romanian is Rroma "gypsy". We also have traditional clothing, but that is not it.
Thank you for the clarification. That's how one learns. I appreciate it and appreciate your country, too. Roger
Very well done Roger, we find your video clarity a lot clearer and very stable in comparison to other TH-camrs. We particularly enjoy the history lessons you share with cities and buildings you have visited. The street and restaurant foods always leave us hungry and reminds us of similar places we have visited in the past.
Thank you. It is very encouraging when appreciation is expressed. I love sharing some of our experiences. There is a lot more to come from this Balkan adventure.
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Thanks for sharing an interesting visit to a corner of the world that we probably wouldn't have travelled to.
Thank you. There is much more to come, time permitting. Roger
Loved this list, and the reasons you shared for each of them - it was captivating. I even forgot that I was looking to see what number Italy was ahaha. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the video. Your video was absolutely perfect timing! At 5:24 in your video you hovered over our plot we have been waiting on construction updates for. Thank you so much for this. I would absolutely love it and like and subscribe if you were able to hit this same area again with your drone over the coming months!
Thank you. I am glad you appreciate it. It will probably be a few months before I do an update, though.
I like the No 1 "Israel . Well placed. Glad about No 2 Scotland, well placed too. Thought I would have seen Cambodia somewhere. As usual very well explained and encouraging to visit.
Phnom Penh itself was surprisingly appealing, but it did not place for two reasons, viz, it was not an extensive visit there and there are other countries I would rate higher, e.g., England, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Perhaps I should rate my Top Five European countries too.
Absolutely interesting. I've learned more and appreciate how you go about it every battery. I have to repeat myself here in saying that your hand is very steady. It's the smoothest movement... No juddering... Just very smooth and the music brings an emotion with it. Well chosen. Thoroughly enjoyed
Thanks. That comes from pure experience, plus Explorer is a joy to fly. Roger
Amazing footage! Please do Seton again. We'd like to track the changes 👍
Thanks for the compliment. I am glad that you mentioned that because it is actually my plan to eventually do a follow-up to show the growth. Please subscribe to ensure that you don't miss it. Roger
Calgary is ranked 5th in the list of the world's most liveable cities, tied with Geneva. Vienna has been number 1 for the third consecutive year
And number one in North America.
Thanks for sharing Roger! Your video really reminded us how quickly communities in Calgary are changing and expanding.
My pleasure!
I love that you diligently show people what to do and what not to do. You are really a caring person!
Thank you.
Indeed, it is very professional looking work. I could imagine how much fun this is. By the way, how much does a drone like this cost?
Thanks. Of course, one is always building knowledge and skill.
Very professional looking video. Well done, Roger..
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I get a lot of fun doing it and learning so much as I go along, although I am yet to explore many of the features. Roger
