How I Installed A DUCTED Minisplit In My Bus Conversion
มุมมอง 9459 หลายเดือนก่อน
I go through the whole process of adding a DUCTED Minisplit system to my bus conversion. I have not seen any other skoolie with this setup and I thought I would try it out. After creating a drop ceiling in the bus I was able to run ducts through the ceiling to have central AC. Thanks for watching! Total Cost Of My Bus Conversion
มุมมอง 1.8K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Total Cost Of My Bus Conversion I wanted to break down the cost of my bus conversion. This is the total cost to date. There are still a few things I would like to upgrade in the future, but here is where we are at. The bus conversion went through a few phases, so a lot of the items were purchased together. That made it a little harder to break down the total cost for each section. But here are ...

Custom SHOWER In A Skoolie | Bus Conversion
I’m grateful and can appreciate this but I didn’t like the design; it just looks like a house. Let’s have more design fun and exploration in the future Get messy, make mistakes and design with freedom in mind; Design is form and function and this design was def function Out some form, freedom, creativity and color (even warm neutrals if preferred) can be played with and absolutely still in this palette’s alley.
MAGNIQUE « CHEF D’ŒUVRE » [ you are a gifted blessed man ] congratulations sir. ❤ from Québec
What board u used on kitchen top
I used MDF and primed it before I did an Epoxy pour on it.
OK ‼️ DONT PLAY 😎🔥🔥
This is beautiful. One of the nicest conversions I have seen. Does it have laundry facilities?
Thank you so much! Its all setup to have a washer/dryer combo installed.
What is the clearance on the loft from the top of the bed to the ceiling? Are there and electrical outlets in the loft area?
The center is 23" and the sides are 17"
What is the clearance on the loft from the top of the bed to the ceiling? Are there and electrical outlets in the loft area?
Wow just wow
Thanks!!
What kind of paint did you use? For exterior metal
I used Sherwin Williams professional metal paint. Its made for metal roofs.
Ojalá en Perú hubiera alguien que haga esta conversión.
Any issues with the transformer being for EU standard 220v with live, neutral and earth whereas the unit requires US split phase live, live, earth? Seville told me it wouldn’t work when I asked. Assume no unexpected issues or case electrification due to bonded neutral?
No I havent had any issues with the 220v. I followed Victron the victron wiring diagrams to make sure everything was grounded and bonded correctly.
@@DanZalinsky awesome. Good to know. No real need for split phase for these then, just any 220v feed?
@@R22AP Yeah no split phase needed
How much
$35k for all the materials including the bus
How much was this build?

after viewing the final tours, those cabinets are beautiful, the fact that you built them...amazing
Thank you! Yes a little challenging at first but they ended up turning out amazing
impressive.
Thank you!
Yea but how much!!????
Around $35k
I would not have place a wall under the unit; if you ever have a coil leak you will have to either take down the wall or remove the whole slim duct to access the coil and replace it.
Impressive work. I have been binging your videos. Love everything about your journey
Thank you!! Appreciate that
❤❤
To the poster - I saw your bus on marketplace but I don't have a Facebook. Is there a way I can get in contact with you? I happen to be in Princeton and would love to talk about this amazing build!
Hey. Thanks yeah you can send me an email at dzalinsky@gmail.
Sometimes simple is simply enough to be perfect.. LOL!!
Exactly. Don't over think it.
Excellent job with the conversion!! Absolutely beautiful interior design and color choices. Watched your other time lapse build video earlier and took several pages of notes.
Thank you! Yes I did the same thing with other builds before I started this. Its great to get inspirations from other builds.
Looked like a nice trip. We like Jim Thorpe in the fall. Neat little town
Thanks. Yeah I was a nice trip with the bus. Great area!
This is a beautiful build 🥲😍
Thank you so much
how much does the overall total cost?
Around $35k
Why didnt you buy 110v mini split
The ducted minisplit that I wanted didnt come in 110v. So thats why i needed the step-up transformer.
Beautiful job . What was the name of that stain that you used .
The stain was called Dark Walnut. Two coats
Wow... beautiful
Thank you! Appreciate that!
Spoiler it’s just sped up not timelapse. Do you know what timelapse is?
How much did you spend to renovate? What was the budget ?
Spent $35k and the budget was $30k
A small section of Braided stainless steel lines before your flares would reduce probability of leak from vibration
I have thought of that but never did it. Thank you for the feedback. Appreciate that.
How’s it doing without volume dampers?
Its doing great. No issues with even air flow. The back vent has a damper on it. So if I need to I will close that slightly.
Do you need a special license to drive your home on wheels? Or would you only need it if using it for commercial purposes?
No special license is needed. It is registered as a Motorhome
What was the total build cost (including bus etc.)?
$35k
So cool!!!
Thank you!!
Love how your panels are straight on the roof raise. I see a lot of buse that have had a roof raise and the panels are wavy. Looks like crap.
Thank you! I made sure I got the appropriate gauge sheet metal panels. I bought 14g and 16g depending on where they were going on the bus.
Using hockey pucks for solar panel spacers was my favorite. Great build.
Thanks! Yeah they were cheap and easy to use.
Why is the camera person focusing so much on the floor?
Its a nice floor
@@DanZalinsky the floor is very very nice the interior design of the bus is very very nice but I hope you can do a slower video not all people have good eyes
You have a better built RV than you could ever buy. That will last for many yrs. RV's today are trash. The frames and carriage are not tough enough. A school bus is built tough to last for yrs and yrs. Great job Sir.
Thank you!! I really appreciate that
Any one tell please what board he uses for floor
I just used vinyl plank flooring that I got at Home Depot
Change all
All six tires were changed. I replaced the front steer tires earlier in the build.
This book is a great source of inspiration for anyone who wants to build high-quality tiny homes. Instead of settling for ordinary materials and designs, you can learn how to create structures that are durable and aesthetically pleasing. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLum--iPp9YKZ09j1BMdHaBMLkrGfIbcm The book does not provide detailed engineering drawings, but it offers plenty of photos that illustrate the concepts and designs. The book assumes that you have some basic building skills, but it also provides a range of ideas that can suit different preferences and needs. I found this book very useful and informative, and I appreciate it greatly. Thank you for providing such a valuable content in these Shed Plans. It is remarkable! For long-term service, it seems like it is worth investing a bit more money. Ryan, you are very generous to share such extensive information with us at a very affordable price.
not sure how to respond to this.......
What type of board is used to close the sides?
The interior, I used thin mdf board with wallpaper
How much will you charge to do mine
did you need to lift your bus for this?
No I kept the ride height the same with everything i added to the bus. Rides real nice with the new shocks
I see you went the Vermont route with getting the title. I did the same thing but insurance has been a pain to figure out for sure! What path did you end up taking with that? I also love/hate the whole roof raise thing. I planned to do it, then decided against it as I'm not super tall. I hate how it looks but it's hard to argue with the added space and build options. But they seem to take even more issue with the roof raise, rooftop decks, and fireplaces with insurance. Anyway, awesome job, I know the work involved first hand!
Yeah it was a little tricky. I was able to get insurance through progressive. Im so happy I did the roof raise on the bus. It helps with having that extra space and the exterior height with the solar panels is only 11' 6". Thank you for all the kind words. It was a fun project
Super b7ild
Thanks!!
Actually?
Not sure what you are referring to
Naw this is an RV at that point, it’s fantastic
Thank you!!
