Todays project is to take this large pigeon hole cupboard which has been left outside for quite a while and covered in dirt, and turn it into a beautiful display cupboard and maybe our shop counter for serving customers.

I have small size cuttings from a friend I received 3 weeks ago. I have them in a cup of water. There are no roots yet and they are still green. Will they take root if I use a root hormone and potting soil?
For sage, better to grow in potting mix rather than just water. The rooting hormone helps to encourage root growth. Brian :-)
I have one and love it
This is good news indeed. You have taken your success to the next level. You could have stayed with what you had but you turned it into a new career. I wish you record-breaking success as you embark on this latest business project. Congratulations and may you keep on excelling in this your newest business. 😉
AMMAZING!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Congratulations and best wishes for a very successful future going forward. Wish I lived closer. ❤❤❤
Is that drill bit compatible with electric impact wrench? So that will reduce injury risk and also gain more drilling torque.
I hate the fact that I hawent seen this video befor digging 😂
I need one of these. I live in central Arizona, the ground is so hard trying to dig with. shovel I have actually bent the shovel blade and it takes absolutely forever to get anywhere digging. when its 115 degrees out that amount of effort is too much. it took me two days to dig a hole big enough to plant a small tree last summer.
Head to www.powerplanter.com in the USA. They will look after you well. Brian :-)
Great video!! Thank you.
I'm so looking forward to watching your videos guys. I am really comfy with flowers and cottage perennials but definitely still learning on that front too. I've dappled in growing veggies but with real knowledge. I'm truly impressed you're educating people how to do this in an environmentally friendly manner. Thank you. I'm definitely not using pesticides here on my micro flower farm or veggie patch that will provide for 6 adults. So exciting! Bx
50 dollars to grow lettuce?
This was exactly what I needed. You were very helpful in your explanations. Thanks mate 🌿
Mhmmm, well how bout a few feet lol
I’m confused already. What is the soul you used? Is that the seed and propagating mix of which there’s an unopened bag on the table?
Yes for growing from seed we use that special mix. Brian :-)
Thank you so much for providing this tutorial. As a 66 year old woman I didn’t have a clue how to assemble this tool. You video was a life saver!! 😊💕🌿🍃🌱
It’s prime bulb planting season, how can I find what is good for my area. This video feels like it had the last 20 mins of content cut out and it’s just a “teaser”
How do I change the line with 18v DeWalt
Maybe your pest free mini screens will protect against Roos? It has been pretty dry in Perth lately and the Roos are getting very hungry and desperate resulting in my vegie garden being destroyed
Great 😀
These guys are great I’ve just joined up, I got the app, Brian is very quick to respond to any gardening questions. A Big Thanks you to both of you for providing all the fantastic free content to encourage budding gardeners ❤
Thanks for a lovely comment Lynda :-) Brian
No one is putting on a scuba mask to drill a hole in the dirt. You are better than this Brian.
Hi thank you so much for this video, very helpful! Do you have any natural alternatives to the water crystals?
What should I look for in a drill that does the job great? Powerwise
Look for an 18v with 13mm chuck and torque of 70Nm and above. It is highlighy recommended to use a cordless drill with a side handle as this makes it easier to control. The drill we use in all the videos which has proved excellent is the Dewalt 996 www.aussiegardener.com.au/996 Been digging with that one for 7 years and it hasnt missed a beat. Brian :-)
How many seasons before the clips/netting disintegrate in the sun/weather? We can't even get tarps to last one summer in WA.
Great question. The fibreglass mesh used should give you 3-5 years, and the clips should be similar. We have improved the plastic clips to have UV stabiliser so they last well in the sun. They are easy to replace when needed. Brian :-)
How well does it tackle tree roots.
I'll be older than them in winter brian Is peter
Awesome video, now I know what I was doing wrong with my Potatoes. Question: I planted seedlings I grew from slices of tomatoes, they went really good and I had a really great crop of plants, but they grew so high and then they started dying off. What am I doing wrong? and this is with every tomatoes I grow. Please help?
Hi Linda most tomato plants do grow quite tall. About 1.8m Dying off could be due to hot winds/drying out. Veggies need frequent watering as they are growing fast and often have high water content. Brian :-)
Wonderful bit of information.
Thanks Charles :-) Brian and Kaylene.
Yes!!! I have only been waiting for this thank you! Canvas is so much Hardier and so much more sustainable! Well done guys
Thanks Di and Sam :-) Brian
Great job, taste all the fresh vegetables at home.👍👍👌
What are the see through covering devices you have over the plants please?
@9:37 digging starts here.
Really enjoyed the video. Thank you. What are your thoughts about using mushroom compost?
Thanks Ray, Mushroom compost is good but it has added lime as part of their process which makes the pH quite alkaline. A high pH above 7 leads to plants not able to draw up nutrients. So it may be ok to add some mushroom compost but I wouldn't use it by itself. Another solution is to add that mushroom compost to your compost bin and let it break down some more before using it in your beds or geofelt planters. Brian :-)
How do you know what size to choose for different vegetables or how many plants to grow per pot?
🏃 P R O M O S M
just wondering I have s small oval greenhouse, those ones that you can buy at Stratco, the cover got blown off, and now I need something stronger to put over greenhouse, any sugguestions maybe poly clear stuff......help
Sorry I didnt reply sooner. I missed seeing your comment. You can get clear builders plastic at hardwares but it is not very strong. Try looking for greenhouse film in google. It needs to be about 200um or thicker. Brian :-)
No link in description?
Thanks for pointing that out. I have now added it in. Here is the link. www.aussiegardener.com.au/tarps
Is that print out of what you can plant in the different stages of soil nitrogen saturation available anywhere?
Which size drill 1/2or 3/8
Hi Patricia The smaller models 207,307,312 have a 10mm hex end. The 324h has thicker 13mm hex end so needs the larger chuck opening. Any power planters that have a h at the end of their name have the 13mm end. Brian :-)
Do the potato bags need to be cleaned with bleach after each harvest, or can they simply be used again and again without cleaning?
You could do so if you have had disease issues. But otherwise you would just reuse the soil and plant again or plant another vegetable as an in between crop. Brian :-)
Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate your swift reply 🙂@@brianchapman6591
Thank you for simplifying this system. My issue is with the timer. We have water restrictions and can only water three times a week. Do you have a timer that can set days of the week rather than 24 hrs etc. If we were able to water on alternate days, we could set this to 48hrs but unfortunately my days are Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, currently between the hours of 6pm and 8am.
Hi Marie Yes that does make it a bit harder. You will need to get a digital timer which allows you to set specific days. :-) Brian
Great job! I'm excited to try this.
So you’ve made it even harder to work out how to put the clips on because you took off the original video explaining it. On top of not giving printed instructions. Ugh
What variety of sage is used in this demonstration?
Great video thank you . Your gloves are great not bulky and last very well.
Unfortunately tho won't last as it's plastic shit like most mass produced product
So informative, thank you.
So how much power should a cordless drill have to handle the auger bit? (I tried with a few smaller ones, less than 20 amps, and they couldn't handle it) I'm thinking 40amps, higher?
I have a hedge row of those. When they bloom, I fall in love with them over and over again!
Hey, so what is the app called so I can download this?
You should put a link to buy it , it's not rocket .
