Hi Jenni, They are made of geotech felt which breaths and lets water through. It effectively air prunes the roots so they dont spiral around the pot. Plants grown in these seem to do a lot better than in plastic pots we have found. They will last for years too and look quite stylish. Brian :-)

What's the best way to fill these bags? Do you recommend certain layers of different things or just soil and mulch on top?

Hi Denise, add a large 510mm saucer. Fill with gravel, cover with shadecloth or geofelt then fill the planter with potting mix. Brian :-)
