Wow a whole 5hrs in France? bet your GS is tired! Did you get nose bleeds riding over 50mph? The French car drivers are very good when filtering with most moving over to make more room.

Wicked and thorough video dude, massive help, got a question though about the mic connections. I’ve got the dji mic 1 kit and I wanna know if I can use the second mic but stored in my backpack (to get clearer exhaust audio) AS WELL as having one of them in the helmet and connected to that 3.5mm. OR, use the 3.5mm connector, but connect the audio receiver in the mic kit to it INSTEAD of the audio jack( I.e, the usb type c port) That way it can be a wireless connection but to 2 mics? One in the helmet and one in the backpack? Would be very helpful and making editing of my future vids ALOT easier if that were possible. If you have the “dji mic 1” kit, would you be able to test that and see if it works??

the only thing is now i need to figure out a good way of charging the phone. currently using one of the Chinese phone holders with wireless charging and on multi day trip or a few hour trip phone needs to be charged. powerbank could work, but that's mean two more devices to carry on my trips. any solutions?

Thanks for the review and tip on earplug orientation. Used your link to order the "pro" set that comes with both the tour and race plugs. Using the race for solo rides and tour for riding when using the bike to bike communicators.

I bought a DeWalt battery adapter for $19 and use a 6mah DeWalt battery with my Dyson 8 ..... runs for hours on one charge

Mudslinger to protect shock but no hugger to minimise spray across rear?

I own the 2024 M1000XR along with a 2020 R1250GSA. Watched a lot of videos on both. Love them both. IMO They are two different genres of motorcycles. I don't understand why people compare the two. I guess it's because there both BMW's

Excellent review!! Just chopped my 73 plate gsa in for a gtle. The gsa is a brilliant bike but when you’re doing lots of motorway miles around Europe it’s a bit noisy and windy. If I was just flying around on my own locally it’d be gsa all day, for long distance high speed work gtl for me

Thank you, a great review. Unfortunately, unless Chigee bring out a hard wired cradle where I can just clip the unit onto the cradle and then remove the it from the bike when I park (like my Garmin sat nav), I won't buy one as, in my opinion, it is too easy for thieves to cut the cables and steal it when my bike is unattended. As pity, as the unit looks superb.

Looks like a superb unit. I run the Zumo XT on my Multistrada V4S. Do you know if they make a convective power plate for the Chigee to fit onto the Zumo mount, similar to the BMW one, as charging through that usb connector doesn't look water tight. Great review by the way.

Welcome back. What is your setup on your bmw looking at your ride aio5 lite or play , innovv 3rd eye, are you using innovv cameras or the chigee.

im purchasing one, with regards to lowing it, im buying it from dealership with a different rear shock that lowers its 25mm, i can now flat foot it with that shock on, they had two side by side in the showroom and its quite a difference. an extra £650

Yeah we would all want to dream of an M1300GS (a name BMW has registered after all). It would cost like a small house, wouldn't be worth it, but this is what happens with these "special" categories of all brands.
