Coldwater Tanks
Norway
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 5 ต.ค. 2010
Hello fellow aquatics!
I'm an amateur cold water aquarium owner based in Hitra, Norway. I just wanted to make some videos of my marine critters and ocean adventures, and thought I might as well share it to anyone interested as well! All the creatures in the tanks are caught/collected in the ocean near my area (North Atlantic Ocean, Norwegian Sea).
Enjoy watching, Tank you!

ANEMONE and HERMIT ISSUES in the 1000l cold water tank!
Long time no see people! As mentioned in a community post a while ago, I've decided to step back a bit from my channel here, as I've basically given up on the monetization target I had for a while, and this was all taking a bit too much time and effort tbh. The fact that my computer is dying on me, which makes editing a big hassle didn't help either..
Anyways, I've had this video ready to go before my computer issues, so I though it's about time to put it up here. This video is from a few months back now, and there's been some things happening in the tank since then, which I might make another video about at some point, when things settle down a bit around here.. Hopefully I'll get back to making some more videos not too long from now..
In this video though, there was an issue with my big anemone, and I noticed something about my anemone hermits that made me consider taking them out of the tank.. Also just checking in on the critters in there.
Hope you'll enjoy the video!

New SOFT CORALS added + SEA SPIDERS, CRINOID, and other cool critters.
มุมมอง 798ปีที่แล้ว
Another update from my sea spider aquarium this time around. This time I'm adding some dead mans fingers soft corals I came across during fishing one day. Also adding a new surface skimmer to get rid of some surface "oil film" I've been struggling with. Also checking in on the critters (sea spiders, clingfish, feather star etc.) Hope you'll enjoy the video! My setup: 70l (18 gallon) glass tank....

wow Natatolana borealis?
Very relaxing video and I've really enjoyed your videos. The squids especially, since they're one of my favorite animals. I also love the concept of keeping local species in aquariums! It's been a while since you uploaded, so I hope to see a new video from you one day soon!
beautiful tank
Mmmmm lobter
Its antennas looks like coral

Hello! Have the clingfish spawned at all?
That large anemone is my favorite from your channel :D
Sea Spiders looks like they are made entirely of nothing but legs
Sorry the monetization didn't work out but I hope we can still hear from you from time to time, I really love your videos!
Does sea spider breat under water for 40 hours?
very beautiful, very powerful
How’s it going
Cool
your tank is very unique
unique tank dude
Please upload more…
Take care of yourself first and foremost though
I haven't been active in ages, but I just got to see this! Super awesome footage. Love all those critters! 💚💚
You should try eating the squuid eggs. I've had ouctopus eggs, and they're delicious
What do you feed them with?
The fact that your plumose anemone (and other inhabitants) survived the tank without the chiller is quite impressive.
Or i think the plumose anemone was added after adding the chiller idk
We need the updates bro!
Wicked!
Just checking in again. Hope you're doing okay.
What is song name
First song heard like Overwrite lofi ( but it’s so good)
MISS YOU
where did u get those fish
love your tank! how did you get the anemone? was it also bycatch and if so, how did you get it off a rock?
What an amazing coldwater tank! Is a protein skimmer still needed in that tank. I’m planning to set up a saltwater pool estimated to be 500L to keep four slime flounder in there.
I live in California and just started my cold water tank
Perfect Music Boys! I love massive Attack!
Is your tank acrylic? Beach sand often contains magnetic particles which may scratch acrylic when using a magnetic cleaning tool..
Clearly it was not having it with that shrimp.
Do you need a chiller for this style of aquarium?
Yes, depending on the animals you want to keep
@@mr_phtm NOOOOOO 💀
@@The_Stars_Shine he did ran the aquarium without the chill for like a year though
@@mr_phtm okay, if I do a beach tank I may be fine since it gets warm where I live not hot, warm.
Squat lobsters are such a good look for aquariums why did you not take them?
What kind of water chiller do you use in that small tank?
Hope you're okay. Life gets busy.
Add some fish it will look better
imo those spectacular crabs are more interesting then average reef tanks and the fact that its from ur local area is so cool
Out of curiosity; what do you plan on doing with your King Crabs as they grow bigger and bigger eventually outgrowing your tank? Also any advice for somebody interesting in starting a cold water tank in America, but limited by availability due to the uncommon desire to keep cold water species?
It being turned over is a good thing, it would basically be increasing the depth that the anoxic layer forms at - technically granting more habitat to aerobic life within the substrate. I think it's good for detritus suspension too!
I do really like this concept and your approach. I’m really excited to look for another video on it!
Hi Simon! Stumbled across your channel by chance, really enjoy your content! And that scenery though🤩 Keep posting and take care!
