  • So, please don't expect any "fancy stuff" in this video... I just let the camera roll while feeding the critters of the Crabitat pieces of fish on a stick. 1 hour of unedited footage with lo-fi music in the background. (My crappy computer crashes while exporting videos longer than about an hour, so had to split it up... So, first part of two..)
    Hope some of you will enjoy this.

    If I had a tank like this I'd be sitting in front of it for hours! It'd be my TV 😂 I love how the big guy only takes what he can carry and hides instead of hogging all the food from the others. Amazing video as always my dude!

      Hehe, I probably would too, if the tank wasn't located in my basement... It's freezing down there... 😅 Yeah, he's surprisingly decent acting so far! 😁 Thanks mate!

    strigosa seems quite well mannered Simon, I may be changing my opinion... 'old blue eye's could be another name, gorgeous creature! Great Vid!

      Yeah, it's surprisingly "cooperative" so far tbh! It's found its hiding spot though, where it stays whenever there's no scent of food in there, so it's not the most active critter.. Your first suggestion, George, won the vote already, so thanks for that! 😄 He definitely looks like a King George!

    In the next few months I'll be moving house and be able to utilise my 180 litre tank. Although still unsure of what type of tank to do whether it be a coldwater marine or tropical reef but I think I'll try the coldwater first and if I don't like it I'll turn it into a tropical one. Hopefully it all goes to plan though.

      Awesome! Obviously, I think you should try a cold water tank!!! 😄 If you do, I hope you'll share! I'd love to see more cold water tanks!

    Enjoyed it.
    Have you noticed if they have a preference for one type of fish over another? Cod over salmon, etc.?

      Thanks, glad to hear that! Tbh, they seem to love everything I offer, be it any kind of fish, shrimp or mussels... Not picky with their diets these guys... 😄 That said, I don't give them fatty fish, as I imagine that could easily foul up the water..

    I have been breeding Sea Anemones, do you have much luck with them?

    • @ColdwaterTanks
      @ColdwaterTanks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome, what kind? Not really. I had a few dahlia anemones a while back. Really beautiful ones, but they ate so many of my tank mates, I had to take them out. I've also kept a few smaller kinds, but they were mostly eaten by shrimp and snails, so I haven't had much luck... I am planning on making an anemone tank at some point though, as I do love them!

      @@ColdwaterTanks I have just started with Beadlet Anemones, I have a red one and a strawberry one and so far so good, I discovered that if I warm the tank up they begin to multiply and then if I cool it back down the stop. So yeah they're definitely interesting critters!

      @@The_White_Shark Oh, very cool! Beadlets are beautiful! What else do you keep in your tank btw? I tried them in this tank, but they were eaten by my shrimp and snails... Will keep them again when I make an anemone tank at some point for sure!

      @@ColdwaterTanksOh it's not a large tank, at the moment it's just two Anemones and two Rock Gobys they seem to avoid the Anemones, they're fed a diet of mixed fish meats and shellfish, there's plants in the tank but they've been eating them so I will have to get some new ones soon. :-)

      @@The_White_Shark Had to look up the rock gobies, as we don't have those in my area and they look really cool! :) I can relate with the plants/macro algae... It mostly gets gobbled up in my tanks too.. Sounds like a fun little tank you have there though! 🙂
