Where can I get a reliable m57 in the UK?

Just found your site;-} out of curiosity, I see you have used a adaptor plate, I don't know if have done the wrong thing, I came across a Range over P38 bell housing which use's the M57 , Have I done the wrong thing , Its going on the R380. Also where did you aquire the spigot bush,

3:30 old school methods 😄 I used bread on my old m20 and m50 cranks, An old mechanic advised me to try that if i did'nt have a slide hammer, I was surprised when it worked

At what mileage does the m57 require new timing chain? I saw many people rebuilding these engines but also other people sau that it can go 700.000 km without any big problem or timing chain issues..

Why use castor corrected swivel hubs, why not go caster corrected arms? Wish you had of explained this as they seemed relevant in this post. Less music more explanation, loving the build! Cheers

I've got an e39;) so you are removing that old bucket of bolts then eh! Glad you've seen the light! I guess mine will end up being used for this or pumping water out the ground lol in the back of beyond buttFu*ck nowhere at least it will last forever and be of use to someone :)

ps buy yourself a cheap impact driver then you can use small sockets on it save using ratchet i use mine for everything cheap one from aldi brilliant i can even get wheel nuts off with it

did you buy a stand alone ecu for your engine or did you get the original one to work with defender sorry havnt watched all your episodes so this may have been featured thanks graham

What are you doing about the wiring? I’m doing a similar swap and so far my best idea is to convert the stock harness and ecu to a stand-alone system. No idea where to start though.
