Any tale that echoes through the ages must be bigger than the teller and must speak to the ongoing story of mankind. My goal is to gaze outward in order to study and tell stories of idea married to action; and stones divorced from the sling.

THE VOICE of BLOOD - Cain and Abel short film project
It failed because people were expecting film for dumb kids and teens, like Superman, Batman or Spiderman. But they got a film that can be enjoyed by smart adults.
If we got the Snydercut, couldn't we get Lee's Cut with maybe "remastered CGI". Itd be one of the best comic books movie ever
Well, this was his cut. The studio did insist that the music be changed but the cut of the film is Ang Lee's vision.
I love rewatching this video from time to time man i love Ang Lee's Hulk as well
Today is the 21st birthday anniversary of Ang Lee's " Hulk" film starring, Eric Bana and Jennifer Connelly. It came out in theaters on June 20, 2003.
Me and my brother are just like the spitting image of Cain and Abel but the only difference is I haven't killed him and I would never ever will
The father of sin and the father of bloodshed and war. We never had a chance. Our Father in Heaven is our only salvation. We have nothing else.
To me this movie was always good, the most comic book accurate Hulk movie in many aspects, and ambitious well made movie that takes what i think is a better origin story for the Hulk with a lot more nuance, with funnilly enough is in fact part of the comics too. - Dialog feels real and dynamic in a way not many stories do, giving layers to every character by just how they talk or what they talk. - Cinamatography feels like seeing a comic book in real time. - It gives so many subtle but powerful messages on power, friendship, love and so much more. I love Ang lee's Hulk, I love The Incredible Hulk movie, both a re beatiful movies that choose to focus on different aspects of what makes Hulk what he is, both succeed it and i am glad we have 2 amazing Hulk movies that explore different aspects of the character.
I love this film!
Connected with this breakdown on a spiritual level homie. I too have always wanted to love this movie and you’ve put it into perspective for real. Big fan
Glad you connected with it! Thanks for the feedback.
Nah I knew off the rip, instant classic. Lifelike CGI, interesting, accurate … fun and most iconic cinematic Hulk action. Him vs the military in the dessert is pure fire

There are little things about stand alone movies that were actually bad. Seeing how mediocre and annoyingly weak they made him in the avengers makes the previous movies look so much better. He was a bad ass in those movies. Just wish they made a movie that truly showcases his true potential and what he can really do
Someone, I think it it may have been the Russo Brothers, said that the Hulk doesn't work well as a standalone character; but rather as a side character. I think that is just a poor excuse for poor storytelling.
@@xcurvatus well that's just absurd. If they think what he's done in the avengers movies as a supporting character is well executed then I can't see what their vision is for him. Surely he can offer more than just comedic relief at random times

blible:Cain Abel Adam end eve genesis ❤
In the Bible God spoke to Cain, asking the whereabouts of Abel.
The Devils Mistress came out the closet and kiled his brother for Satan and God killed both of them inreturned. so they never got away with it . now i know who burned for the Devils.
He was 37 meters tall
This is where I heard Eve speak.
It's my favourite Marvel film. By a *considerable* margin. Most of the MCU films are slop. Junk food cinema. Ang Lee's Hulk is not. The bridging between "the macrocosm and the microcosm" is something i rarely, if ever, hear anyone else mention. I've always thought this to be the key to the correct interpretation of the film. It's a deeply Freudian idea (the Unconscious as vast, terrifying, and mysterious as the Universe) - and Nietzschean, embodied (in the worst possible way one can internalize old "Neech") by Nolte's David Banner - the Will to Power run amok, uncontrolled and uncontrollable in its selfish exploitation of *all* life by *one* life. Greek Tragedy, Freudian Psychodrama, Mythological Archetypes, and a Nietzschean villain. What more could one want? Btw you missed one element - Ice. I'd also say Air (when Hulk & Absorbing Man go airborne) but it's a bit of a reach. That's still in the Fire stage (Lighting representing Fire here). Fire, Air, Earth, Water, and Ice. In that order, as I recall. But Fire, Water, and Earth is perhaps more elegant and thematically consistent.
You may have a point. "Fire, earth, and water" did feel a bit incomplete when I wrote it. When they "absorb all the ambient energy" and freeze the lake, its such a strong image of what unresolved psychological and spiritual conflict does to one's environment. It drains not only you but people around you.
@@xcurvatus There's a nice symmetry with Dante's deepest, 9th level of Hell in "Inferno". Satan is bound in *ice* - not fire.
The early MCU films were good and entertaining even The Incredible Hulk film. It’s just that the quality dipped for the future ones more and more because of mishandling.

Outstanding
Cane was a rape child. He called me Mom and I cut a hole in his circle. Abel was Japanese I was Eve I was Indian me and Adam were not together I am a lesbian I dated a black chick who loves to fight

Cain and his father moment was top tier acting i would say, i don't understand why some say this movie is evil, i had hoped to see cain talk with god because its my favourite moment of the story, it speaks to me because i feel my soul as Cain's more than Abel so God's words shout with Great pain in me as they are true, however the moment with adam was very good!!! Again why do people say this is evil and all those words like masonic pagan etc. 😅
Glad you enjoyed that moment between father and son. Its very complicated to find a way to convincingly portray God's voice on film. I went with something that felt believable at the time, Adam being the surrogate voice of God so that I could have Cain actually interact with another flesh and blood character. When you're dealing with subject matter that people hold dear, it is very hard to please everyone. I told a version of the story that was meaningful to me and I'm glad some people see it similarly.
Where is the snake in this film?
🙄 'PromoSM'
I don't cry while watching movies but that scene after the final fight where Bruce is floating in the water and remembers his father kissing him goodnight, telling him "sweet dreams" got me teary eyed. Hulk (2003) is a unique film of it's time and unfortunately we won't get anything like it again.
I do not know what strength is in my blood, but I will not let good storytelling fall, nor our narratives fail.
Cain didn’t listen
Able speaks god will and good listener
Great movie start to finish. Really well done. Also you could tell a lot of effort was put into it. Felt like an actual story instead of non stop action with dumb plot. Also the actors too seemed to take it pretty seriously. Loved it. Hulk action scenes in desert were really awesome too.
Yah, the desert scenes were great. They knew their limitations as far as CGI and so they made sure to ground it in a very natural backdrop.
Seriously cannot wait
I love how God made Adam from the dust of the earth but still gave him sock marks on his ankles even before socks were invented.
It was a subtle nod to Psalm 139, "You knit me together."
I loved this analysis of the movie, it's an eternal classic of a film.

Any help please ithought there were only Adam's family but wen cain reached somewhere married women and bared please where did those people came from whom cain met
There are a lot of scholars that can offer answers to that question. I don't purport to be an expert in that area. Could be that he married one of his siblings. There are probably other more complex answers as well. I don't get too hung up on that question. Maybe if I were to ever make a longer film about Cain then I'd have to put more thought into it.
Just watched this film for the first time! I absolutely loved it. As someome who has a lot of emotional trauma I found it to be relateble. I feel like this film might have kinda inspired some elements of The Immortal Hulk.
Before I knew the Tao, I saw Ang Lee's Hulk as a symbolic masterpiece. When I was learning the Tao, I saw Ang Lee's Hulk as a flawed, terrible tragedy. When I came to know the Tao, I once again saw Ang Lee's Hulk as a symbolic masterpiece.
What do you think prompted that shift?
