Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum - Maggie Valley NC
So much to look at here in this place and I definitely didn’t even show you a quarter of it. I dedo recommend while you are out here riding and you enjoy looking at motorcycle history and the collections to back it up, to stop at this place and give it some of your time. There isn’t much else to do in Maggie Valley but it’s a nice place to call home for a night a two.

I can tell you that the Tail of the Dragon is all that and a bag of chips. We favored pretty low traffic compared to what I’ve ready and have been told so we were fortunate in that sense. The weather was great and I couldn’t have asked for a better day.

I'm considering this set up. The price is actually not as bad as initial impression due to the front springs only costing around $200 vs $900+ for everyone else. I installed 14" LT Super Shox a few weeks ago and they are terrible. Barely any benefit. I will be returning them. But, now i'm hesitant to buy something else. I live in Colorado. I need comfort bc there is so much riding to do.
Raffle bike is this Saturday, still time to get tickets. This place is unreal. Over 90% of this bikes run. They start bikes up throughout the day.
I'm installing a S&S 465 Cam. Not finished yet!
@@WDStock_man you got this!!
I loved that place and Maggie Valley in general.
Not a fan of the silicone. It can come loose and get sucked into the engine. I would tap the holes and lock-tight screws to block the holes.
Belt looks loose
Great job on the video of the install 👍🏽
Oh man looking forward to this buddy! By the way, BogeyBiker has a great ride event coming up in Texas! Great group of guys, check him out for details.
Was this before Helene? I want to ride down from Michigan but fear roada are closed in the area.

I know it's been 2 years but I just found this video and it's hands down the best I have watched for this procedure. You did an absolutely great job explaining and not cutting out parts and jumping all over the place. A++. Keep up the great work. Ride safe.
@@cam3325 thank you and your welcome.
Did you guys get to do any other riding in the area? Lots of other cool rides out there!
Yes we did and I actually came back a few weeks later with some friends and rode more than I did the first time.
@@PaulOnTheRun Awesome!! Get to do the rattler?
@@chasingwhitelines I think we did. The second time back my buddies led the way and I just enjoyed the ride but I believe I do recall them talking about it.
Hey bud loved the idea, but you need to update this with your correct sizes so you can save someone else like myself from purchasing stuff that doesn’t work. I’m not positive on your lag eyes but 3/8-8” were massive, I ended up using 5/16”x6” and only to find out the tour pack bends the 3/8” all thread, upon closer look in your video your all thread is 1/2”, denoted by the blue paint on the end not yellow, also tubing is 5/8” OD 1/2” ID as also can be seen in your video. Please update to save someone else or I hope they see this comment before purchasing
Don't you think that those upper hoses made more difficult for the oil gone down? If you turn down made the air and oil going easy and fast to the catch can. My 2 cents.
😂😂why HD owners always fixing their motorcycles????????😂😂😂😂I thought it was a porn vid… you blowing 😂😂and saying nipple 😂😂😂so many times 😂😂it looks too home made 😢😢😢it looks like a 12 year old did it 😂😂😂
Brother hope you’re getting some riding in. Thought of you; you ever catch up with fellow Texan down the road from you, Bogey Biker and his channel? Great dude, has some good guys around him, they love to ride and BBQ. LOL. Might be a good brother to connect with.
FYI - In September 2024 this $25 DIY is now $38. Still better than the Harley / Amazon options IMO
You ain't wrong. haha!!!

Thanks. it's a Bell retro faceshield. I probably got it off amazon or ebay. can't remember.

Dude that tank bib I found on eBay years ago when I had another 2004 Sportster back in 2011. Never found it again. But occasionally I do go back and look. Type “tank bib lattice”

If you make it back down thru the hill country around Bandera again running the sisters, be sure to check out Coopers BBQ in Llano. Just DONT make that stop on a Ironbutt run....LOL...you WILL regret it.
I’ve been there before. I’ve spent many a long weeks all over the Hill Country. Old school atmosphere in that little Llano town.
So did you mainly run interstates for the ironbutt portion? I'm in Snyder Texas and considering an ironbutt from here and making a loop up thru Santa Fe, Taos and Red River New Mexico and then back down thru Amarillo and back home. My thought was that last push from Amarillo back to Snyder would be interstate to wrap up the trip. Never done a trip that long in 24 hours though. My first concern is the Mtn portion slowing us down too much. My thought was the sun would be to our backs on the way out (heading west), then cooler mtn temps during the heat of the da, and on the way home as sun is setting in the afternoon, it wouldn't be in our eyes then either. Once it gets dark we should be on interstate in Amarillo, and that should also decrease the chance of deer/hogs in the road. One problem I have is that im on a VTX1800, and my range is MAX 150 miles per tank. I typically stop for gas every 100 miles. Did you end up needing the Reda gas can at all? IM about to listen to your live stream next and see what takeaways I can get from your trip. Congrats btw!! 1k in 24 hours aint no joke. Ive done a handful of 3-500 mile trips in one day, but never doubled down to get 1k.
@@rbljackson since this was our first Ironbutt we didn’t want to complicate it too much so we opted for a straighter route. I think our next one is gonna be a bun burner so we’ll still take a more direct route but we couple this with a little mini moto vacay.
Love to hear it! Love gatlinburgh area we wanna take the rv eventually
@@aneaveill2 it was a very cool place. We mainly enjoy the dives and riding. Didn’t do much of the theme parks or attractions.
pay to park so you do not end up on video being towed.
Would the installation of the breather kit void the warranty?
The burden of proof would lie on them to directly correlate this modification to a specific point of failure. For example if they claim that this breather was the catalyst to your anti-lock brakes malfunctioning they would need to prove how so. Mostly likely they won’t because there is no connection. Now if they said this modification was the catalyst to some misfire, which I doubt, then they could probably deny repair on their dime. At least this is my understanding of warranty jargon.
I wish you would have videoed traveling on the same road with the new Suspension
You know, I thought I did because I remember filming the after. I guess it got passed me and now I don’t think I have the video of it. Sorry brother.

@@MrHammGutsnGlory your welcome.
Can I drill holes in the standoffs that are part of the backing plate (all one piece) on a 2012 103 Triglide?
You didn't say what year bike you got you didn't say it has ABS brakes or not so you got to take that into consideration people
Nope. Removed mine. Too much crap blowing out of the top holes all over my pipes, etc
What size hose is that???
Great instructions
Enjoy da roll out...n traveling grace 2 u as well!!!!
Sorta a dumb question...... how do you know that the hole you drilled in the breather bolt lines up with the hole for the barb fitting? If it doesn't, the blow by isn't going down the hose to the can.
Not a dumb question. But it doesn’t necessarily need to line up because the diameter of the bolt in that area is narrower than the hole. So the blow by goes around it and up the rubber hose. Hope that makes sense.
I answered you from my other page. Sorry about that.
My old 20s is way louder than the 50s, buyer beware, i run earplugs too also.
Have you ever used Legends? How does it compare?
Great video and content , well explained and filmed
It's illegal for a shop to install it, but you can do it yourself, in most states and get away with it.
Nice job
I made the same thing without the catch can, I just ran hose under bike opposite side of the brake rotor and let it mist away.
How often do you have to empty the catch can?
Nice video!!
Thank you
I have been looking for a luggage rack for my motorcycle, bigger than one they make for a bicycle, but smaller than an ATV or vehicle. I have not had any luck. But I have a small luggage rack on the back of my bike that I want to strap a larger car onto. So I can carry safe 4 to 6 small fabric grocery bags. Just six or 7 miles back-and-forth to the store.
Very well done video Thanks
