Exhaust Series Part 5: Porsche 964 Exhaust Compilation OEM, Cup Pipe, G-Pipe, No Muffler Sound Clips

I personally like the cup pipe and G-pipe together, but it's pretty loud. For a quieter setup, the G-pipe is louder and deeper than the Cup pipe.

How To Flush BMW E46 M3 Brakes With Motive Power Bleeder
I had a leak at the junction where you connect the hose to the power bleeder. Wondering if I didn't tighten it enough or if I should use some teflon tape on the fitting?
@@ChrisHsuCars yes use some Teflon tape too if needed. I just bleed brakes again and had to add some.
Love your content. Super helpful! Thanks a lot
Such a great video. It helped a lot. Thanks.
How about a movie on how to remove the from bumper ? Need to get access to headlamp cleaners but don't know how.
@@ulflindstrand1169 it’s your lucky day! I already have that video to remove bumper. Cheers!!
Thanks a lot. Hope you will post more videos. I do like them very much and find them very helpfull when I tinker with my own 964.
Great video! Just what I was looking for with detailed instructions. The Motive Honda cap sucks. This is a great solution!
@@parch111 i just did another flush 2 weeks ago. Thanks!
Awesome! Just tried this last night on my own but was to shy to just pull it off 😅 Great tutorial! Thanks! Now I need to order some clips before I start again…
I totally get it! Its the pop sound and it startles you at first, but its good!!! keep going.
@@levelupclassics Left side done - took me some time to figure out what goes under where while building things back ;) Right side next. Can be done without jacking up the car/removing tires, but it needs some tiny hands...
@@JohnCoffee haha yeah i cut my hands up all the time. But it’s worth it!
Beautiful car! Bout to buy some non stamped style 24s and this was perfect. Love the fitment and what I’m going for. Thank you bro!!!
i love the stamped haha but its so oem + clean
do you have to loosen the center piece in order to remove the taillight? Or can i just remove the one screw and pull the taillight out on its own?
Yes for example to change out the tail light you don’t need to remove the center. The one screw and pop it out. Thanks!
To release the pressure from the power bleeder, loosen the cap that is on the bleeder itself. Then remove the cap from the master cylinder, it's much easier.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll try that! I need to actually do this again. It’s time for another flush.
i have the genius 5 and 10. awesome chargers. well worth the money.
worth every penny. I have 5 of them....
Can you use the stock trim rings/retainer instead of the black ones? I'm looking to get these headlights instead of the morimoto ones. These lights really look good and they're really bright.
Absolutely you can use the stock ones. I like the black accents. You can switch it around… like shoes.
@@levelupclassics Thanks, man. Your videos are really helpful. I see you in Sacramento. I'm in Stockton! Keep up the good work!
awesome video !!! exactly what i was looking for. thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching! I wish I had this too before I got the parts. haha
Great video short straight to the point and informative
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Might seem trivial, but your video helped me locate the disconnected license plate lamp connector behind the passenger side tail lamp. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad the video was able to help you. I go into tons of detail just for these situations. Most people skip a few steps and just show the results.
Your e36 looks so good! Love it
Completely agree!
Superb Video, Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I will fix my little sag this weekend
Thanks for watching! The fix is so easy and worth it.
I like the sound of the fister but it's a lil too loud for me. This one isn't bad at all. I might just go this route.
Yeah the Fisters are great. It would be similar to this one in sound. I think the cup pipe is actually quieter. My new video series 5 will show you the difference. The Fisters are a modified secondary so its almost the same as the g pipe. The G pipe is deeper than the cup pipe. I almost felt like the cup pipe was a tiny bit louder than stock, but you save 23 lbs.
Can anyone tell me why the front wheels stay relatively intact from a ride height perspective while being lifted while the rears drop all that way before eventually bottoming out?
Because Im on an air ride.
The fishing line is a great idea. I use that for the decals. Thanks for the feedback. I have thought about no music but it sounds really bad with just a voice over and when i have nothing to say it’s just pure silence. I’ll try and turn down the music to a lower volume. Cheers!
A fishing line and heat gun help remove the tape. Your videos are helpful but can be better without the music.
If remove that it have any problem for smogcheck ..? California suck
Great question and no absolutely no problems. This does not have anything to do with emissions. If the person asks, tell them its a heater pipe push heat into the car. I have never had any problems with this at smog and normally they dont even ask. If its carbon and it sticks out unlike the OEM one, they might ask but just tell them what i said above and you will be fine. Thanks!
So install that.. heater still working to inside.?
Yes there is 2 blower motors for the heater. We are removing the secondary blower and it will just use 1 blower now. For CA AC is more important. Heater much less. I would rather save the weight and have more space inside.
Excellent.
Thank you!!
I noticed in the comments someone said you should depress the clutch between rear bleeding and front. How does the clutch get bled.
with the motive power bleeder you are pressurizing the system so you don't need to press the clutch.
Have you tested a setup with a « Swan neck » ? Which is a secondary muffler replacement, a bit bigger than the G-pipe
I have not, but I did consider the swan neck too. I have read mixed things on it, some people say sounds better, some people say drone, some people say g pipe is better. I think the longer neck is suppose to help with sound and pressure. Also not a lot of good videos out there of it. Maybe one day I can get one to try. thanks!
Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for
Thank you!!
i should put the wheel spacer on all 4 or just the 2 in the back ?
its up to you and whatever wheel specs you have. It doesnt have to be super flush. All setups are a little different. Thanks!
just suck it out
GREAT! video thanks! Just getting ready to drop off my 91 cab for a rear bumper respray. Is it only necessary to remove only the one taillight passenger side? Thanks
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Hello from the UK. at 3:15, how critical is it for the air duct and blower duct to seal? With the help of your excellent video, I loosened the blower motor and the air duct 3 bolts and I can get them to align just about but not fully seal. Of course, when I tighten the blower motor and the air duct bolts, they go out of alignment, so I only have a seal at the top. I'm 99% certain both my ducts are genuine Porsche parts. Do both of your cars seal 100%?
It should be ok. It just means a little less air is going to heat the cabin. Thanks for watching!
P r o m o s m 😇
bro really raw dawged the frame in the front
Man this the fitment ive been looking for its perfect on so many levels. I need a bit of help tho so im looking to rebuild a set of bbs rs and in terms of specs without spacers this set up would be 17 by 8.5 ET21 right? This offset shit still scares me lol i feel like im right, am I right?
Quite sure the rears are et26 because the offset of the wheel without a spacer is et41. 41 minus the 15mm spacer he added would bring you to 26. Pretty surprised they fit with no roll and especially surprised they didn’t rub bad when he had the old setup with the 20mm spacer which would be et21.
@@teesley615 I was trying to work out his widest set up. I’m looking at a pair of BBS RS that are 17 by 9 ET20. Everyone is telling me they wont fit but I see people with apex arc 8 that are 17 by 9 ET30. Claiming their fenders aren’t rolled. So I’m trying to work out if I roll my fenders will I be able to fit 17 by 9 et20. I seen one set up that has 17 by 9 et 22 on 215/40/17 but that seems like too much stretch and the car was slammed.
@@VictoriouzBIG I think to fit an et20 wheel you’d almost definitely have to roll the fenders unless the tire is super narrow and stretched. Even then you might have to with that offset
@@teesley615 I would roll the fenders but that 1 extra inch is freaking me out and I really don't want to stretch to a 215. This set is absolutely beautiful tho and would go so well but I think the front is impossible with a bigger tyre
@@VictoriouzBIG I doubt you would have to roll the fender in the front. On e36s the rear is usually where the problem is unless it comes to clearing the strut but an 8.5 wheel isn’t even that wide and should be good especially with a lower offset
Did you put a hard top on it?
No hardtop. I love cabs. Its going to paint and a new fabric top. thanks!
How do I know how many amps I need to charge my car battery? All I can find online is the CCA for my car which is 550, 685 for CA
The noco will charge it automatically. The more amps the faster and stronger and vice versa. All you do is plug it in and it will analyze the battery. This is not a instant charger so it will take time. Cheers!
We've all dropped a nut at least once. Lol. Good video
Hi, great video! After installation I have exactly the problem you explain and I can't find these bypass relay anywhere. Can you send me one, or tell me where I can order one. I have a 964 C2 automatic and come from Switzerland. Thx
My links below will send you to the relays. Thanks!
This isn't how you do it.
Thanks how do you do it?
Way too loud. The characteristic sound is gone. And you loose Power, too. Cup pipe and stock secondary muffler is the best imho.
I felt like the cup pipe with secondary muffler was the slightest bit louder than stock. Still a great sound. Its all preference. This I agree is on the louder side, but I love loud. Cheers!
@@levelupclassics I added a 200cell metal cat, cup pipe and stock secondary muffler. That Sound is a Little bit more and with a few bites here and there the outcome on the dyno ist 273 hp and 345 Nm of torque.
Sounds great...I have the Fabspeed Primary installed as well as well as the secondary (not installed yet). But had a question..after a normal drive and the car us shut off...is your driver side rear fender above the tire area very hot..almost can't put hand on the body panel..?
Has anyone tried pressure bleeding on newer Honda vehicles? Did they give any errors? I have a 21 Honda CRV hybrid. Im curious to know if anyone flushed their brakes using this technique and how the end results were?😊
I havent tried it on a new honda sorry!
Sounds amazing!
It sure does! Cheers
Hi, congratulations on the content. Can you tell me how many liters are needed? Thank you
It takes about 9-10 liters (assuming I'm converting quarts correctly). cheers!
@@levelupclassics thanks you 😎
Oh this is gonna be sick!
Thanks brother!
Is lowering the car in between just to allow easier access to the top while giving time for more oil to drip out?
If we are talking about changing oil, I lower it so more oil can drip out since raising it tips the car up. Cheers!
Good review, I am very impressed with the Noco Genius 5 and 10 chargers with a repair mode. Have you every tried and demoed a battery desulfator? I have a PulseTech PowerPulse passive battery desulfator and have been using it on my BMW battery for the past three years. Pulse Tech claims that their desulfators and chargers use a patented frequency to desulfate and increase battery life up to three times. The Military is one of their biggest clients.
Thank you buddy
Thanks for watching!
That’s a good idea but removing the coating may cause rust
Very very possible depending on where you live and driving conditions. I would hit it with some undercoat or primer. Something very light to where the clip can still hold. great idea!
Thanks for the video
Thank you for your support!!
Love the build, but quick question what is the name for your front lip on the car? Would you have a link to them?
My lip is a Rieger GT lip. I love that lip because its affordable and easily replaceable. Its gotten a bit more expensive from inflation, but this is a good alternative too bit.ly/E36modularfrontlip. Its a little bit more but LTW lip style. There is also carbon ones, but I would be worried that breaks in a week. Cheers! Thanks for watching! I have a video when I installed my lip somewhere. I never posted it, but Ill see if I can dig it up.
