Paul washer is a false prophet who says if you don't have or do any works, if you haven't gotten sin out of your life, you are not saved. When the Bible says clearly that salvation is by grace through faith and not of works. He claims there is no such thing as a "carnal Christian" contradicting apostle's Paul teachings on Romans 7 and 1 john 3

A great many godly men have believed and taught what is sometimes called 'Calvinism', and their lives show fully they were both blessed and holy men, far more than you and I will ever be. This does give pause for thought! Then add to this, the long history of the church, until comparitively recently, did indeed hold to these truths/doctrines. It is simply a biblical view of soteriology, or salvation. One has to grapple with this subject, as how a person is 'saved' and what 'saved' actually means, is so very central to the core truths of Christ and the gospel. Ask yourself: if you salvation depended on you, your intellect, your matruity of thought, would you be saved? What about others not as 'gifted' intellectully as you? An unborn child? Etc etc. If I find time, I could point you to many resoruces on this, but I suggest searching the scriptures on the subject, and ask God to enlighten you in sincerity. If I get time, I'll post more

@@heartsoul4386 thank you for your reply. I'm honestly pretty ignorant to Calvinism other than what other believers have warned me about. But at this point, I do NOT feel the holy spirit guiding me away from Brother Paul Washer. Everytime I hear him, he preaches the true word of God. And I've never raised an eyebrow at him. I think he is truly a servant of our Lord Christ Jesus. But then again, I've only been a born again believer for less than a year, so what do I know? 🤷‍♂️

@@sasquatchlife8836 praise God for your conversion!!! Paul Washer will benefit you greatly. I encourage you to continue with him. He is a faithful man of God and has been tested in the fire for sure. You will grow and learn many things. Just keep faithful and pure. So much corruption out there. Don’t get sidetracked or deluded either false teaching or controversy. Stay true and keep your first love. Stay in the scriptures and find good churches. I can HIGHLY recommend anything on Ligonier website and videos. Particularly RC Sproul. You will grow quickly under that ministry.

And impossible to find and come to know God unless He calls. Then, Gen 3:22. "good" what kind of "good" taking about here? Does a man know good? Can a man able to know and choose what is good? Then, "the man" means regenerated man? Able to distinguish righteous and evil? OR the word "know" in Gen 3:22 is like James 2:19? Knowing and believing OT, but they can never come to really "know" (spiritual relationship) God? So "good" in Gen 3:22 is just Knowing the facts? And Roman 2:15. God wrote His law in our hearts that we "know" what's good in our consciousness?

Does salvation rely on our intellect alone? What about the mentally handicapped, or those unborn? Intellect itself cannot be a safe nor biblical condition of salvation. Faith also is 'the gift of God, that none can boast" - therefore, being dead, God must regnerate, make alive, and give the gift. Do we know why/how? God wrote His law in our hearts that we "know" what's good in our consciousness? - we certainly have the inner witness of wrong and the commandments, however, we are blinded and by nature children of wrath, and living in darkness. Only the new birth brings about the input of light and life. Nothing but regeneration can do this. If Christ paid for the sins of all, then he was punished for no reason and also, it would make his payment and death for those who 'reject him' as ineffective - in other words, he owuld have suffered in vain. Something that's impossible to even begin to imagine. He said it was complete. Not open to chance and hope based on someones free will or intellectual grasping, or worse, on the 'skill' of the gifted evangelist to magically 'explain' the gospel so well, they believe. so, we we have free will indeed, but only according to our nature. Our nature is sinful (by birth) and unable to choose faith/god/life etc etc. God bursts through this is in mercy/ We have no part, other than to accept his gift. Regeneration preceeds faith. Important to know --they were filled with the Spirit in the OT, and obviously thus knew God. But we now have a greater revelation, the witness of the NT and the Spirit's outpouring in a new way, to build the church of God and spread the message world wide. Reply

good question, and yes, keeping it to 'earn' any merit, salvation, etc is unbliblical, so therefore wrong. However, the godly and right response once saved by grace alone, is to strive to please God in EVERY respect (failing at many times), simply to wish to love and obey the God who saved us, but NOT to merit or earn credit with God. Thus salvation is purely on the basis of the finished work of Christ, and has nothing whatsoever to do with any obedience on our part. Fruit of salvation is indeed good works, but these come as symptoms of a new birth. Ask yourself, how are we saved? And the issue is redundant immediately. Legalism is the antithesis of antinomianism. Both are incredibly wrong and sinful and lead to hell. The balance is the key thing. Paul was right to say he was charged with antinomianism, simply because the gospel is so incredibly amazing in its scope and offer. If rightly preached, we will be charged with the same

God's Instructions ( laws) are to be obeyed. If one is not following His Laws then whose are they following? They were not written for Salvation. They are Moral Standard Laws in which we are to live by. Do Not believe anyone who preaches another gospel.

yes, of course, but the issue is clearly, if you 'push' this as an agenda, or amplify it wrongly above grace, then you are in fact supporting legalism in the sense that we please God via our law keeping. Of course you are not meaning to say it is law keeping for salvation, but you do then end up leaning that way. Instead, we have only ONE way of pleasing God AT ALL, and that's Christ's work, which completely and utterly justifies us PERFECTLY before God for time and eternity. We WILL fail, but our standing is not our law keeping but ONLY via Christ's law keeping. Does that help? To state one degrades the law by preaching Grace, is really to misunderstand the beautiful harmony between the two, which cannot be understood without the other. Preaching Grace does not degrade the law, as Christ said, he came to amplify it (which actually condemns us further!) but the law was a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. But once led, we obey out of love, not fear, legalism or to earn merit. We all are miserable failures in the law, let's be honest @@cindyrehder1164

@@heartsoul4386 I stand by my statement. God's Word will stand for eternity, Grace will come to an end! To push law without Grace is the same as pushing Grace without law, therefore you have a false teaching! By the way it may help you to know laws in original Hebrew text means God's Instructions. Are we not to follow His Instructions? How can one do otherwise if they are following Jesus Christ? This would be false teaching and a very dangerous one!

Praise God if you found it so! I will actually never forget this message. I was preaching to a young woman who stood absolutely transfixed for the entire message, and had never ever heard the gospel in her life! She was so sincere in her listening and responses. I will remember this day forever, as it is an honour beyond measure to present the gospel to a soul who has never heard the message before. It was just wonderful. Her intense listening animated my message no end!
