Good video 😄
Thank you!

Great dialogue and excellent video presentation. Please let me know who produced the video. Deserve kudos.
It's all me 😊🙌 Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment!
Corktown????
What about Corktown?
I live here
The title of this video should be nothing but cons of living in Hamilton, ON probably the worst place to live in Canada
Thank you for this wonderful video explaining details of Hamilton i really appreciate the time and effort you have put into making this informative video ..the narration and filming is excellent .keep up the good work
So appreciate you taking the time to comment! Thanks for watching 😊
No sweetheart Burlington is very dangerous
Based on? If it's your opinion because you've experienced a dangerous situation, I'm sorry to hear that. I've lived downtown most of my life & have only ever felt unsafe or in danger once. That's not to say that things don't happen, but if you look at the statistics we are a VERY safe place to live... Burlington has a crime severity index (CSI) of 23.95, significantly lower than the national average of 78.10. The index measures both the volume and seriousness of crimes reported. The lower the CSI the safer the community.
Born and raised in waterdown… but I had to leave… taxes are too high, too many people.. roads are too small..
You're not wrong - it has changed so much over the years! Especially in the newer developments... luckily there are still lots of small-town charm places to call home not too far outside of Waterdown! Where did you end up moving to?
Amazing video, Rochelle! I’m sure a family will love living in that home, especially with that backyard and being so close to the bike path.
Thanks Matt! They sure will 😊🙌
Paradise on earth. Natural beauty
Agreed! It's absolutely gorgeous 😍
I livee in Burlington for years. And had no idea the park was largely on reclaimed land. Thank you for this video. ☮
There's so much history in Burlington & many of us locals don't know the half of it -- myself included😅 Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment!
Do you get many American and English tourists in Hamilton?
Honestly, there are so many visitors from all over the world! From Dundurn Castle to the waterfalls to people exploring the campuses for post-secondary, it's a cornucopia of people visiting the city!
Nice video!
Thank you so much for watching & taking the time to comment 😊
I’m sorry , but people tune into your video to see the garden not your face. I stopped watching because of that
You should go see for yourself in person then! Feel free to share your own video of just the gardens but after so many positive comments, it's nice to see someone comment on the flip side - also reminded me I should get back to sharing each of the individual locations! Enjoy your time at the RBG!
... I just rewatched as well... I'm on screen maybe 10% of the video... you must have stopped watching right off the hop, but thanks for taking the time to comment 😊
Is admission free?
No - you should support the conservation areas & can buy day passes, just click on "Day Pass" hcareservations.ca/
Hamilton's a s*** hole I moved out of Hamilton 5 years ago into a small village and I love it Hamilton sucks
It's not for everyone that's for sure! There are also lots of different areas to live inside of Hamilton which all have their own unique vibe. Where did you end up moving to?
Great video! Thank you❤
Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment!
Nice video. I love this city
Hamilton is Hell
Us too!
There are lots of other areas you can move to nearby if Hamilton isn't where you want to live...
Just came Hine fron there today great weather pretty busy but at the west end more quieter if it's gonna be a nice day get there early like 10 in the morning it will very fast fill up parking
All great tips! I assume you're talking about Burlington Beach specifically? There were 17 in the video so want to make sure anyone reading your comment knows which beach you're referring to ☺️
Me gustó el video pero hablo espan̈ol. Lo puedes hacer con subtitles en espan̈ol?. Felicidades
No estoy seguro de cómo agregar subtítulos en español, pero veré qué puedo hacer para ayudar a que el video sea más accesible para otros idiomas 😊 Hope Google Translate did an ok job with converting to Spanish 🤞
I moved to Hamilton in 1975 and am so glad I did! The botanical gardens, waterfalls and trails, closeness of Lake Ontario, are wonderful and so easy to get to. Day trips to the Niagara region, Port Dover on Lake Erie, or Mennonite country in Kitchener are all do-able for lovely day tripping. Thankfully as an RN 20 years ago my salary was enough to allow me to buy a modest house as a single person, and I paid it off completely in 15 years -- unfortunately housing prices have gone crazy here, but that is true all over the developed world these days. Pollution has improved a lot since the steel mills cut back and we have more health care and other clean industries. Hamilton is still a friendly city, and it won't take long for you to settle in if you just smile and say hello! If you are well educated and love the out of doors, this is the place for you!
I love all of this! Thank you for sharing your journey over the years & I couldn't agree more 🙌
Classic boomer in denial.
@@Jonny-o3l I don't see any denial here...
Great video, very informative. Going to visit these wonderful beaches this summer!!
There are so many I am excited to visit again this summer 🤩 Thanks so much for watching & taking a moment to comment!
Criminals with Guns, prisoners and repeat offenders , drug addicts and homeless everywhere .. no thankyou
Don’t worry, there are lots of other cities/towns in the area to pick from but also - Hamilton is a very large city made up of some many communities which don’t deal with a lot of the issues you mentioned. I always try to avoid painting the entire city with one brush 😊
3:30 Where is that?
Thanks for reaching out! The playground shown at 3:30 is Churchill Park - Westdale Hamilton (by McMaster University). It's just behind Cootes Paradise Elementary School. Also has a small splash pad as well as trails into the Royal Botanical Gardens "Cootes Paradise" marshes. One of the best places for a picnic & a hike for kids!
thtanks for allowing comments. america and canada needs to boycott steel from china. hamilton is a great place but do to the fact im american i dont know how long i can stay. rent looks too high.
Thanks for watching! Hamilton is known as steel-town so there's that 😊 Rent & affordability is a concern across Canada right now... while some areas are more reasonable than others, Hamilton is certainly feeling the pinch. The next election cycle is showing us that politicians are hearing the people & there are some ideas on the table. Only time will tell if it's really effective or not 🤞 Where is home for you in the states?
Beautiful park flowers garden where it’s this place thank you for sharing.
Thanks for reaching out Paula! Which clip were you looking for the location of? There are a lot of different places shared in this one 🥰 If you give a description of the scene, I'll let you know where I filmed it!
...wow, where is the wonderland presented here? 😂 count me in!
Appreciate you taking the time to share your sarcasm with us 😉
Ths hight by law is probably on the way out . Perhaps it will remain in small chunks .
That policy was announced in 2018 & anything is possible in the future, but I haven't seen any updates about them increasing the allowances yet.
what a lovely video ! You completely managed to avoid Downtown Hamilton altogether ! If only it were all the Fairyland you make it out to be !Genuine ? You seem to have completely missed the fact that Hamilton is a big Dirty, smelly Steel town and that most of the downtown real estate is Hundred tear old wartime housing.
You must not have watched to the end 🤷🏻♀️ But also, Hamilton is SO much more than it’s downtown & north end. If that’s all you see in the city then no amount of discussion from me will help you see what so many others do… Hamilton is absolutely an incredible place to call home. You just need to be smart about where you choose to live & how it fits into your lifestyle.
You don't show many different families can we see other people that enjoy there .
Many of these were filmed during the pandemic when families were at home. Check out the latest episode about Spencer Smith Park if you'd like to see some families enjoying downtown Burlington 😊 th-cam.com/video/RSzvl5oXBYk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XfXt2f5Ol7_dve5_
Stay far away from this crap. Poorly built cookie cutter sidewall drywall dump. There is 3 feet that separates you from a nasty neighbor. Then you are have a freight train running in your back yard. Like traffic and mass immigration? Then this place is for you. But trust me your stress and health will pay the ultimate price. Move to the country side my dear
Everyone is trying to sell their house now, property tax on the rise. Possible higher rates... biggiest housing bubble in the world canada..
Thanks for taking the time to comment - appreciate it! But, I'd say there's some inaccuracies in your comment... Inventory is still down, so no - everyone is not trying to sell their house now. Taxes are always on the rise... so nothing new there. Rates always have the possibility of rising... just as they have the possibility of holding or dropping - just take a look at the US reports & how Bank of Canada will respond to the recent announcements to the south. Biggest housing bubble in the world? Supply & demand is at work here... so with the new starts (aka new homes being built) being 1 for every 25 new residents coming to Canada, it will be highly unlikely the GTA "bubble" will burst barring some catastrophic events. If you feel like brushing up on what's ACTUALLY happening in the real estate market vs. repeating clickbait headlines, feel free to check this insider look I shared earlier this year - th-cam.com/video/PVlqttk8RPo/w-d-xo.html
Looks great Rochelle! Hope it sells quickly in this down market - your clients are in great hands!!
Thanks Allen! They’ve taken great care of the home 🙌

I've taken a look at your TH-cam channel and I must say, I enjoy your videos. However, there are a few areas that could use some improvement, such as SEO, ranking tags, and tag volume, which haven't been fully addressed. Additionally, I noticed that your videos lack engagement in terms of likes and comments. Not to worry, though, as I can lend a hand in boosting engagement with more likes and comments. My name is Arafat Amin, and I am an experienced Freelancer with over 2 years of expertise in TH-cam video SEO. I'd be more than happy to assist you with all your TH-cam video SEO needs.
Thanks for assisting the algorithm with your comment. However, I get the same email 10+ times per week from people like yourself... and while I appreciate the tenacity, I am not interested & really do not want to have to start dealing with comments on my videos from people offering services like yours in addition to the emails I already deal with. The purpose of my channel is not to have millions of views, but rather to help a small few really become acquainted with the area & hopefully trust me to guide them through their real estate transactions... just know it is a waste of time to keep persuing me & you should drop me from your follow up list.
Your video is very beautiful. The video quality is high. I enjoyed it. I noticed one thing: according to your channel, your channel videos are not viewed and subscribed. You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. Otherwise, if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year, none of your videos will get viral views. I am Arafat Amin and I am a Freelancer, I have 2+ years of experience in TH-cam video SEO and have a proper understanding of TH-cam video SEO. I have completed 1500+ video SEO projects. My goal is to provide the best services. Thank you Arafat Amin

Another one knocked out of the park Rochelle!!!! We love Spencer Smith Park & I love learning more about the roots! Especially the Joseph Brant info... I was curious a few times driving by who the hospital was named after. Now I know 👍 You should do a fun facts about Burlington & include things like that to help us get acquainted with the City! As a new resident to the area, I loved how much you shared with me when we were looking at homes. Now, I miss those chats & you answering my random questions. Have a great 2024!
Allan what a great idea!! You're the second person to mention Joseph Brant 😅 Something I will be mentioning to relocation clients more often now! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season with the family ✨ Here's to an incredible 2024!!
Currently in the UK but exploring the possibility... My wife is a GP and I work in government so jobs important but Burlington looks amazing for our family (two daughters 16 & 5)... Thanks for sharing. So pleased I came across your channel.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment & connect! Glad you've found the channel helpful so far... there are some exciting videos in production right now that will definitely help you decide if the western shores of Lake Ontario are right for you! Up next is Spencer Smith Park, Burlington's main park downtown & will showcase much of the lifestyle Burlintonians enjoy! But more helpful for you would be the Seasons series I'm working on! It will give you a solid idea of what living here is like year-round! (This winter we haven't had any snow stick around & it's been very UK like with the fog & rain) If you're looking to connect directly, you can connect on my socials (TheGenuineRealtor) or feel free to email with any questions! The time is now if you want in for this year's contribution 😊🙌
The perfect size city. Big enough to have almost anything you need/want, small enough to get from one side of town to the other in 20 minutes.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching & taking the time to connect 😊
Very impresssed with your video & your apparent vast knowledge of the city, + your candid description of certain areas that are not so desirable etc. I will be in touch sbortly -- but am looking to rent not buy. Hopefully, you can help re what area(s) of town I should be looking at.
Thanks so much for watching Susan! It's a fine balance because everyone's threshold for what's desirable can be so different. I'm happy to connect & see if I can help 😊
As a born and raised Bronte resident it isn't the neighborhood it used to be when I was a kid... to be fair I'm 22 but either way it has changed a lot and we used to have a nice Mall in Bronte called the Bronte Village Mall which is now a ugly high-rise and a lot of the restaurants are closing or have closed to become high-rises.. with that being said the best part of Bronte in my opinion is the Bronte Legion. We also have a boat downtown which we absolutely love at the Oakville Power Boat Club
Great update. I'm guessing you left the ORWP out on purpose?
Yes, it was intentionally not mentioned as the #ORWP is for Realtor members, whereas my channel is geared towards the public who are not affected by it 👍 I’m glad it’s on your radar though!
@@TheGenuineRealtors Of course it's on my radar. It should be on EVERY REALTORS radar. You should do a video about it.
@@ONTARIOREALTORS Maybe I'll do something on my socials, but again this is very much client-facing content so it doesn't fit the audience I'm growing here.
Is Stoney Creek Hamilton?
It is! Let me know if you have any other questions 😊
Wanted to move back to Toronto Originally from St. John NB however living in Alberta has become barely affordable I make less that $28,000 per year in OAS And CPP combined so I don't think I can even afford Hamilton, am I right?
Hi Patrick - thanks for watching & taking the time to ask a question! You're absolutely correct, to live in the GTHA (Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area) you would need to be making around $50,000 per year... this is the estimate for a living wage here. I did do a video recently touching on it, but if you scroll down to "Home Affordability" (about halfway through the webpage) you'll be able to read the snippet about the costs of living here recently 👉 www.genuinerealtor.com/the-shifting-real-estate-market-fall-2023 🎥: th-cam.com/video/PVlqttk8RPo/w-d-xo.html
