I deliberately drew this map to not resemble any existing landmarks in North, Central, or South America (I served my mission in Panama and Costa Rica, so I am very aware of what this area looks like). The Church takes no official position on where the events of the Book of Mormon took place in Ancient America. It could have occurred in South, Central, or North America, the Yucatan Peninsula, Baja California, or in the United States. This is just a fun reference of the many cities and lands described in the Book of Mormon. We should not be distracted by geography, but focus on this wonderful book's true message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

So according to the map..Zarahemla was " Venezuela"!. The Land of Bountiful "Panamà", Desolation.."Mexico".
