Christmas in Quebec - TV Special with Erik Estrada, Lee Majors & Jeffrey Osborne (1998)
Venture back to a simpler time when tourism boards funded TV specials like "Christmas in Quebec," a 1998 offering featuring two songs from Erik Estrada (!), Jeffrey Osborne, Susan Anton, Lee Majors and, yes, many more. The Estrada songs I've uploaded previously but never the full special and, after receiving a few requests for it, I figured it was time. All my best with another coming your way on Christmas Eve!

Any of these people Canadian?
Cool find.
MEMORIAM: Zelda ‘Beverly’ Rubenstein was born for the role of “Tangina”. She worked at Juicy Harvey’s in Burbank California in the ‘70’s, quitting her job there to make this movie, leaving behind an owner, Harvey Kaplan, who mistreated her whenever he was having a bad day (mostly annoyed with each other from years of being coworkers, Harvey and Beverly behaved like disgruntled brother and sister, most times. ‘Beverly’ (Zelda) left abruptly one day and never returned - can’t say I blame her!). I wasn’t surprised, though it wasn’t clear why at the time, because she’d begun to talk about an opportunity to leave and never look back). I recall being happy for her departure, knowing only it was what she’d desperately wanted. Beverly was a hard worker, steadfast and diligent, seemingly hardened by a life a similar mistreatment by others. Not an angry person, actually quite tolerant of others, she was no push over and talking with her a few moments were enough to know this was true. I met her at 15, a bus boy at the ‘custom’ burger joint where we served customers attending the Johnny Carson show across the street at NBC studios. My favorite line, “You’re right. YOU go!” is classic Beverly! Pure poetry and, folks, she was NOT acting! RIP, Beverly! See ya’ on the other side!
That was a really good film, thanks. Wish the local stations still made that sort of stuff
As a guy who was a 10 year old boy in 1990, I can very much confirm that kids of the era would, indeed, accept heroes that were turtles, who lived in the sewers, and who ate cold pizza for breakfast. We not only accepted them, we loved them. We still love them.
Thank you so much for posting this! I’m in the children’s choir right in the front! The memories ❤
They were almost on the verge of saying how wrong they were about Home Alone but couldn't quite get there to admit it. And, damn, were they wrong.
Did Gene actually say “more brighter” at the 19:30 mark? Oops. Well at least he didn’t type it into his review of “Broadcast News.” And I like how Roger laughed when Gene said that Michael Douglas’s performance in “Wall Street” was nothing special. But all in all this is one of my favorite S&E shows that I’ve watched, and I’ve watched a lot.
SNDN and its sequels all suck. Totally skip worthy. Stick with the original Black Christmas. One of the best slashers of all time (actually the first ever), genuinely suspenseful and funny in parts. Not for anyone under 17. It’s a genuinely scary film.
Nice to see them again, but also sad they're no longer with us.
A t bive they used real scallywags 😮
I remember my dad and I put on our cross country skis, and delivered groceries to our elderly neighbors. We all came together. We cared. Today, people would starve. No one cares anymore.
Seriel killer vibes
Then _Silent Night, Deadly Night 2_ came-out 3 years later (1987), and became one of the most meme-worthy films ever. 🤭
He didn’t praise Gary Oldman basically playing a black dude 😂
Both Jade and Scarlett Letter made their Worst List.
I was 12 and lived in Detroit. We got hit a few days before Boston did. School was cancelled for 2 weeks. We had to evacuate the house because we heated with heating oil and we ran out. The trucks could not get to our house. We went to my Aunts house. The kids played out side for a few minutes but had to get back inside. There was too much snow and it was bitter cold. All the neighborhood kids were at my Aunt's house. There were about 15 kids and we all stayed in the basement. That is when I learned about "spin the bottle". Me and another girl lost our virginity to each other during this storm. I wish the storm would last for a few years. There was a lot of boom boom with all us kids. There was nothing else to do. We could not go out. I caught up with that girl a few years ago on Facebook. We are 47 years older, and much grayer. We both are Grandparents now. We chuckled when we reminisced. We both have fond memories of that week of love in the worst winter storm of our lives. She never told her husband the truth and he still thinks he was her first. This past week I have been thinking a lot about my youth. I lost my wife to cancer and I am retiring early. This video brings back a lot of memories and it makes the pain a little easier.
Where is the full River/Ebert interview!?!
They speak of the joy of seeing films on the big screen, and I agree.. Now people watch them on their cell phones. The ultimate insult to the fine art of filmmaking.
I still drive a cellica today, a cellery that looks like cauliflower toast.
Yo peppidge farm sells great stuff.
I love tarts.
Full Metal Benji
Watched Roger Rabbit on DVD a few years ago and watched the extras which included the making of. Wow, it's amazing what they did before CGI came along. When you see Roger Rabbit pouring a bottle of whiskey into a glass, that's actually a robot arm doing it. The animation of Roger is then put over the robot arm. You wouldn't think animatronics would be used like they were in Terminator but they were in Roger Rabbit.
What? No reviews on Murphy's Law?
You look nice x
You cute x
Roger Ebert was so wrong on his review of Full Metal Jacket...Full Metal Jacket far more realistic of what war is.
Midnight Cowboy was a much better film than Butch Cassidy.
I was disturbed by the first scene between Redford and Ross.
These movies are all great 80s fare lol these guys needed to relax
My man R.E there slamming down the facts and preaching the gospel truth!!!
I lived in Ayer, MA with my husband and 3 babies aged 2mos, 15mos and 4yrs who we dropped off at the sitter’s and went to work that morning expecting 6”. I was a waitress at the local coffee shop and my road guys came in and said you need to get your babies and go home now….. being a Ky girl who had no idea what a nor’easter was that’s exactly what I did. I still can’t believe we made it back home safe and sound but I will never forget that storm.
God bless these guys. They really could bicker with the best of them back in the earlier years. Both with sharp wits and strong opinions. Kind of goes with the territory. Most of you know that they really came to love each other and that became more evident as the shows continued. It got to the point that they each defined the other, and became a part of the other, in some inextrlicable way. And we were all the better for it!
I always think that siskel and Ebert would hate 90% of the crap on Netflix
You see what Dukakis did there? He took no credit for rescuing people and preventing more deaths He gave it all to others and a guy who's name most have never heard of. Can you imagine? I want that. I want a leader who not only utilizes quality people but admits that they are the ones saving your asses Now it's me me me! And the sycophants make it worse because they wanna believe in Gods, not people
I hope we never have another one of these If we do I predict much more death despite our technology Back in 78 workers had more power. Today they'd feel obligated to go to work because some of them will be fired if they don't attempt it It's been happening People lost their jobs because they refused to go to their jobs during severe flooding. This was just weeks ago
Sadly, smoking is what killed John Candy...
This was excellent. I loved it.
Christians: It ruins the wholesome Santa image for our poor kids. Reality: SANTA ISN'T REEEEEEEAL!!
I love" silent 🌃 night, deadly night! Along with black 🎄🖤 Christmas , and " Christmas evil"! My local, independent, tiny, cinema, is just down the block, and playing all 3 of them this December! Silent night, plays, tomorrow! I'm going, never seen it in the big screen! Black Christmas, is playing the following friday and Saturday. And ( christmas evil), is also playing twice , after black christmas! I wanna go see all 3! I was a kid, so it will be cooll to see them in a Cinema! They're also playing " little women, night of the hunter,", and a several others, but I'm only going to see black Christmas , silent night, and Christmas evil! It should be fun..😮
I can't believe any man could sit back and just watch Dunne get murdered. Even if Sweeney was twice my size and I couldn't beat him up I'd still have stopped this man from strangling her.
I always thought Bette Midler was pretty good, but I can't help but compare her to Madeline Kahn. Madeline Kahn is legendary, Midler isn't.
Anymore
Die Hard is pure action entertainment. Yes, the movie is out there way out there when it comes to the ridiculous unrealistic action scenes but it is charming in a comedic way. Pure entertainment !! 😂
I saw Arthur 2 while flying to Hawaii on my honeymoon. My face was one foot from the movie screen. The movie tried to make Arthur’s alcoholism funny, which the first film actually managed to do. This time it just felt embarrassing to laugh at. Lisa Minnelli, who imo had NO chemistry with Dudley Moore, just phoned in her performance. Hawaii was nice, though.
08:50 so awkward, the way Victor and Grais laugh when the thay deicdid that the little girl will be killed in the plot of the movie.... and she died in really life shortly after....
Sycopath
These commercials are wonderful
Definitely magical Field of Dreams. Ty Cobb was very much disliked.....
