    Great video. Some remarks: Whilst the sound of your voice is perfect, it just comes from the left channel. Also the music in the beginning from the videos was too loud. In terms of content you are very well prepared, kudos for that. Gorilla glass for the coupe was not an option anymore from MY 2022 afaik (not 100% sure though), because they still have problems with cracking. Despite living in Switzerland, the market analysis for the US was quite insightful for me. It is refreshing to see that a highly intelligent young man like you is doing high quality stuff. However if you want to make money with youtube, you rather should make videos about lifestyle, how to get girls/money or both ;) Car channels are not really subscriber magnets, however I have subscribed to your channel.

    Great video bro! Very interesting, had to watch the whole thing. The 996 is personally my favorite iteration of the 911, with the 964, 997, and 993 close behind. I actually own a 996 C4S and people are right when they say “there is no substitute.” However I do have to say the 996.1 is very compelling… maybe even MORE so than some the facelift models, let me elaborate. Number 1. The 1998 and maybe some early 99’s, were produced on the same line as the 993, some people state the car handles a bit differently cause the same methodology was used. Number 2. Owners of 996.1’s also stated the 3.4L has been more reliable. (of course this can vary based on driving ability but seems like the general consensus vs 996.2 3.6L) (You also probably won’t notice the 20hp difference, you still get 300hp which to this day still beats most vehicles on the road with similar horsepower plus Porsche technology) Number 3. The 996.1 headlights aren’t that bad and actually look maybe even more “authentic” than the 996.2’s it’s just the ugly amber that kills the nice aesthetic, fully clear headlights is the only way to go, add some lowering springs or air suspension and it’s gorgeous. Fun fact the legendary Le Mans winner the “996 GT1” shares the exact same headlights. I would say that’s pretty damn cool, 996.2 cannot say the same however. Number 4. I know this video doesn’t include GT3’s but relevance is there. Everybody knows the GT3’s are the true driving experience and where the re-sale value is if one chooses to go that route. However you can obtain the EXACT same look/similar feel as a 996.1 GT3 (just with not as much horsepower) with a nice priced base model 996.1, all you need is to install the aero-kit and you can save yourself tens of thousands of dollars. The engines in GT Porsches can be different than in regular models, 996.1 GT3’s have the “Mezger” engine which is known to be one the best with minimal issues. (No IMS bearing issue and better engineering overall) The U.S. also never got the 996.1 GT3, I believe the model was European exclusive (coolness factor) but the 996.2 was offered in the states. The 996.1 has many cool points that make me desire having one but that day will probably never come because I really want to experience a nice mid-engine Cayman. Those are a different beast all together, and don’t get me started about the GT4RS but we’re talking classic here. Apologies for the ramble, never commented on a hour long video before but I like to call it passion.

    I just bought an F85. Those crackles and pops are tuned in. These cars has MHD or BM3 tune with burbles on aggro. I just installed Stage I, X Pipe and the exhaust is still M Performance. Very quiet. I added RK Tunes intake and that added lot of turbo noise. My other car is a Camaro and the lack of theatre in the M is made up in driving dynamics. Mouth dropping. I looked F95 too. The G series too expensive and required FEMTO unlock is rude expense. The ZF transmission tune might be the coolest part. I got xHP tune and took it off till get trans serviced. I dont think they are as beneficial because M tuned cars are already high strung. I had the car PPI twice. And sent oil into speeddiagnostix for analysis. No metal, rod bearing etc issues. The car is docile and also super rude. What I paid $36.8k w/ 71k miles. I have extended warranty options and waiting to see is needed. Cool channel, sub’d

    Long post incoming - I spent a year+ researching and hunting for the right V10 M6 so sharing my experience/thoughts below: Pretty good overview and I broadly agree with your opinions and list of items. I had been researching/looking for a 6-speed V10 M6 for about a year before I found the right one at the right price. I too wanted a coupe, but I ended up finding a 2 owner (possibly even just one who moved) 2007 convertible 6-speed with 50k miles. There are 378 convertible 6-speeds, so slightly easier to find than the 323 coupes. I agree these have absolutely massive price appreciation potential, although my guess for a 1 year timeframe are much lower than yours. The thing is, despite risk of high mechanical/running costs, insurance and taxes are ridiculously cheap. Not being my daily driver, I got a Hagerty agreed-upon value policy and together with taxes/registration it's only $1,000 PER YEAR (and for absolute max full coverage). I think there's almost zero chance M6 prices won't appreciate AT LEAST $1000/year - could easily be $5k+ if well-kept. So if you're considering this as a special 2nd or 3rd car, I can't think of anything better or cheaper as far as unavoidable costs that most don't consider. Think about your use case and mission of the car for you. Is this your daily driver and you have to drive to work everyday? I think there are other cool underappreciated cars that fulfill that role with better reliability and lower risk of high repairs better. Not saying you can't, just prepare to pay up per mile. For similar cost I'm partial to 6-speed 05-06 Pontiac GTOs given that's ~10mpg hwy more than this and running costs are as cheap as any 400HP+ coupe, but that's an aside. The 6-speeds can be silly money like seen in your video, but there's a floor at roughly $30,000 even for 100k mile cars. Many of those are WAY overpriced - the white 08 w/ 37k miles that was $68k in your video got reduced over months down to $55,000-$58,000 before it sold. I think all V10 M6's are ridiculously undervalued, even 6-speeds that command a solid 50%-150% premium over SMG. If you can find one that is closer to 50% premium over equivalent SMG, I think that's a buy all day. You're paying extra $ up front to get the V10 manual experience but equally to bypass unavoidable $$$ repair risk with the SMG. I actually like the SMG too honestly, but you have to be able to drop $2k-$6k anytime to repair it if something goes wrong and you can't really guarantee that won't happen again even if it's been repaired before/recently. That's the one thing I think you didn't emphasize enough despite mentioning it: potential for SMG transmission issues especially the clutch and associated hydraulics. The issue there is that can kind of happen at any time and any mileage without warning. Sometimes they go 100k with no issues, but it is common for those to go and make the car inoperable. That's $2k or so to fix, if the transmission has other problems it can become prohibitively expensive. There are more 2007s than other years, so while the LCI updates are nice, I'd say don't limit your search to LCI only since upgrades are mostly cosmetic. I've ordered a pair of pre-LCI European spec headlights without the orange in them, which are expensive but personally I think look better than the LCI ones and are plug/play vs. a retrofit is complicated. Don't count out convertibles either - I enjoy it myself because rear window can be lowered and it's easier to hear the V10 in general. You lose the issues with the carbon fiber roof, but have to look for top condition and mechanism condition. If you do go with the E64, but even just the E63 coupe, check the water drain holes for blockage - that causes water ingress and electronic issues. The one thing that bothers me with the convertible is it's 450lbs heavier, so take that into consideration. That said, the new 2025 M5 that was just announced is 5,390 lbs... So I feel better now given I'm >1,100 lbs. lighter than that lol. HOWEVER if you're going to go pre-LCI, you need to get one with a build date of March 2007 or later (check the door jam or a VIN decoder). That's when a major update to the V10 internals were done and dramatically improved longevity. Actually Jan. 07 was the update, but March 07-on they got a new oil pan design with 2 drain plugs which makes removing waste oil fully easier if BMW procedures weren't followed to the T. Leaving old oil during changes will hasten wear big time. The maintenance history is critical - I felt my chances of the car treating me right were higher because the oil was changed religiously every 12 months or 4k miles and that was in the Carfax (even when it only had 2k miles put on it), same with brake fluid flush every 24 months. That and the general condition of the car indicates whether you are buying a clean example or a shined up potential dud. One thing I'd advise for these V10's is more than most any other car, you are buying the previous owner, at least mechanically. You can check for cosmetic concerns yourself, but was the oil changed every 3,500-5,000 miles? Was it driven a lot in the cold? Really these engines want 60+ degrees ambient temp otherwise it's stressful on them when cold. Did they always let the engine get to operating range before reving or going over 4000RPM? The 10W-60 oil is super thick and so warming it up before driving hard (it can be driven just not going above 3500rpm) is THE main wear risk along with proper change intervals. Rod bearings are largely dependent on oil change intervals and diligence of the prior owner. The rod bearings used to be a bigger issue than they are now once they are done with good aftermarket ones they should be good for probably the life of the car if you do periodic oil analysis to check for metal content like copper that indicate it's worn down. Those are some thoughts from a year of research and hunting for a V10 M6 - hope that helps somebody!

    Buttons are best in some cases. You know what, I can press them without really looking and know what I'e done. I get touchscreens are handy but in some instances they're just crap. There is at least one vehicle that has the entire thing on a touch screen so in the cold weather when it fails you can't demist the windscreen. What an asinine thing to do. Not a great review, for instance - unless I missed it you moan about rear room but never say how tall you are so we can get some idea. Can't hear anything on the outside? ??Not even remotely true. Whilst the small turbos do spool up very quickly it does NOT have instant low end torque.

    The valve adjustment is every 30000 miles so realistic less than 3 years if you plan to drive it daily. If maintenance is a concern because money doesn’t grow on trees the z4M is not for you they could be a financial burden and the rod bearing thing is pricey in 2024.

    digging your verve on this- looking at the 650s vs. Gallardo

    • @AnwarAndCars
      @AnwarAndCars หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thats a tough choice man, the Gallardo has the soul and sound with the v10 and the Lamborghini badge, and when it comes time to sell you'll probably have more interested buyers. The Mclaren 650s, on the other hand, has so much more performance, and it's frankly one of the best performance bargains on the market right now. Then comes the quesiton of reliability. The Gallardo will probably be more reliable in the long run compared to the Mclaren. Looks are subjective, however the Gallardo definitley has a more simpler classier design compared to the Mclarens bare bones, race oriented, setup, but the Mclaren does have doors that go up. You can take production numbers into consideration as well. The Gallardo has almost 15k units worldwide, whereas the 650s has less than 3k units making it a VERY rare car. Personally, I'd go with the lambo, specifically a 2013 or 2014 Final Edition because it's a Lambo, but if you don't care about the badge, you'll have a lot more fun with the mclaren (when it works) hope this helps.

Looks like its in motion even standing. Its funny that I really don't like the current Bentley line up at all. It was a halo car and continues to be my dream car. Bit of a crying shame its dead. I guess the Phantom completely won that segment. Do you think this car will continue to depreciate ? Or will low numbers keep it up there.

      I completely agree, this cars design and presence is unmatched, not to mention the fact that its one of the most luxurious cars on the road. I dont think prices will go down more than 10-15% more then where theyre at now however i think that low mile newer model year examples may increase slightly. the low production numbers will make this car one of the greats when looking back in 10-20 years
