When I heard the tapes my sister brought back from Benidorm in 1995, I knew I had to start mixing, and in 1999 the Ministry of Sound Trance Nation album started my trance journey. Offshore, Pearl River, Happiness Happening and Cream will always remind me of my first listen to that album, which started it all.
Largely retired since my Citronic PD-1s in the early 2000s, I recently found myself looking after my friend's Audio Technica AT120s, so bought an Allen & Heath Xone 23c and spun a few mixes together for him and put then on TH-cam. I never expected anyone else to watch them!
Most of the vinyl in these mixes we collected back in the early 2000s but I've bought one or two more recently.
Huge shoutout to The Thrillseekers. His mixes on TH-cam really inspired me to get back on the decks. Big thanks to Steve for his massive contribution to Trance music.

The middle section really gives me Ministry of Sound Trance Nation vibes. Appreciate that I jump about 15 years to the last song, but I sing my boy to sleep with Forever by Smith & Pledger, so I just had to play it - you can even see me getting a little choked up as I sing it!

I forgot to mention, thank you all for liking, subscribing and sharing. It's insane to think I've reached 1000 subscribers! Audio Technica AT-LP120 speed/pitch issues/instability demonstration

Quick video demonstrating an issue I'm seeing with the LP120s when mixing. Basically, if you slow down the platter to beatmatch tracks, the deck appears to over-compensate and as soon as you let go, speeds up way past where it was before eventually settling. Hey @JonGTranceClassics - how are you finding these 7000s? I know you had issues with AT120 (had the same issues) and moved to these. How is your experience so far (thinking of picking up a pair of 7000s). Additionally - I see you moved to 1200s it seems in the latest videos - was it just the time to get a pair or have you had issues with 7000s. Thanks a lot and keep spinning
Hey, thanks for the comment. The Reloops are great. The 1210s were on loan from a friend and have gone back now (I was scared of breaking them!), so the next video will be back on the Reloops. The 1210s were great to mix on, and the Reloops seem a very close match to be honest. All things considered (especially price and ongoing service costs), I'm happy with the RP7000s.
