Oh man, bucking those rivets must be painful. You need to cut out a half moon-ish shaped piece about 5" wide with a large hole-shaped recess in the convex side to hold the metal buck. That will fit right against the hip and make it so much easier to be the bucker. At least that's what my great grandfather, grandfather, father, and i used. Can't imagine there's any reason why it won't work now.

This is a wonderful boat. I went to the shop that made it this last weekend, but the museum was closed so I just got to look at #2. I really like this boat. It is becoming not a matter of if but rather when - in regards to building one. My shop is just big enough.

I spent my entire childhood on this boat! Arlen Pomeroy was my father and owned her from the early 70's through the mid-80's. We lived on the North end of Lake Washington and our family of Mom, Dad and 5 kids sailed it every summer up into the Canadian Gulf Islands (even took it to Desolation Sound/Princess Louisa twice). Dad sailed/duck dodge with the Sloop Tavern Yacht Club though the late 70's. Lots of GREAT memories on this boat!!

The name (in Torrance CA USA anyway) was spelled Puretic. I would like to find more information about the person Mario Puretic. I knew him in Torrance CA, a memorable individual who once whittled out a model boat right in front of me when I said I liked boats. His kindly wife used to invite me into the house and, every time, made me a great sandwich. Would like to find my teen years friend, Mario's stepson Bob, if he's still alive.

Hello, nice video. In fact, It is my video. I certainly don't mind if you use it, but I would like to be properly credited for creating it. If you got it from the PSATMA then I guess that they didn't properly credit the video either. Cheers; Scott
