ALL CONTENT IS TOTALLY AND ONLY FOR EDUCATIONAL AND ARCHIVAL PURPOSES I DEFINITELY DO NOT SUPPORT ANY AFOREMENTIONED GROUPS OR ORGANISATIONS IN ANY OF THE SONGS.. NO SIREE!
Some songs cannot go up onto this channel because freestater tube does NOT like them and is very random in which songs they allow to keep and not so any high risk songs will probably be on my soundcloud or maybe my spotify playlist of rebel music which can be found through my profile link I update that kinda occasionally

Kelly's Irish Brigade - Irish Confederate American Civil War Song

Performed by The Thrown Together Band. Note that the image is of the Tenth Tennessee Infantry (Confederate one) which had a substantial amount of Irishmen serving for it, as Kelly's Irish Brigade wasn't actually a Regiment or Brigade. No Irish Confederate 'Brigades' existed, Brigade is likely being used simply as a word for a unit, the unit this song most likely refers to is the 'Washington Blu...

Thank YOU so much
Written by Brian Ó hUigínn upon hearing that Redmond had called for the Irish Volunteers to join the British Army.
They tried to bury us, but they had no idea we were seeds.
Please stand for the true national anthem ☘️
Another great upload!
What is your opinion on Eamon De Valera?
He's a complex and interesting man, I can't say I love him or outright hate him, like people unfairly put the blame entirely on him for the Catholic Church holding so much authority in the country when the situation was much more complex than that but some criticisms are valid like his role in the triggering of the civil war which was a horrible war that should have been avoided and led to the deaths of great leaders on both sides, it didn't take him long after the war to accept the Free-state he appeared to be so strongly against. Maybe he was trying to save his own skin, maybe he was just trying to be pragmatic, but so too was Collins, trying to be pragmatic, yet Collins died for it. He did handle ww2 and our neutrality very well and made an incredible speech against Churchill. He also criminalized the IRA in the 30s but then got rid of the likes of the oath of allegiance to the British monarchy and other aspects of the Anglo-Irish treaty. I haven't read or looked into as much on De Valera as I have with the likes of Tom Barry but from what I have, he's a very mixed bag
@my great grandfather was best friends with him and my grandparents have a picture of the 2 of them, my great grandfather absolutely adored him.
@@mseacht Also azumanga daioh is peak
Hell yeah, not often you get to hear or see more personal connections to people like him so that's lucky to have
REAL 😻😻irish azumanger fans r so hard to come by 😔
Love this version it has soul in it
What does “Guineas” mean in this context?
It was the name for a type of coin
This song is about our rotten politicians in Australia. Only in it for the lerks and perks.😂😆🇦🇺❤️🇮🇪
sounds like battle cry of freedom
Song recommendation: Do the BallyMurphy Song (not the massacre one but you could also do that)
Banger
Oh this version is so raw I love it! I've always loved the orchestration and lament of the Wolfe Tones version as well but this one is more angry and rough and rowdy. Both are fantastic for their own reasons!
I agree
Can you do Plastic Bullets?
Good timing!
Awesome tune.
yes
Great song but I would have never guessed the person (or persons) running this account was into death metal 💀
Just me and how did you know lol
@@mseacht Mostly insanely W music taste
I read something about the mines in Ireland under the English rule. Awesome stories, sadly few told to us
The wicklow mountains have a good few stories and whatnot, there was even a gold rush in the 1790s there but it was really brief
@@mseacht yeah i remember the wicklow gold rush of 1795. Thanks!
He pronounces the words slow so i can learn them the right way. ❎☘️❎☘️❎☘️❎☘️❎☘️❎
this is amazing

A classic history, good to remember the irish role for the Confederacy.
Imagine 2 irish brigade (confederate and union) meet each other
There's a scene in the movie Gods and Generals that shows this tho it isn't historically accurate
The Irish left Ireland to escape chains and slavery, never understood how some of them fought for the confederacy that wanted to keep another group of people in chains.
then you are quite dull and show a lack of understanding of both irish and american history
I mean there was a point when the Irish and the blacks had a rivalry with each other to be fair
@@fitzant that's why most Irish fought for the North, the confederates were slave traders just like the English establishment.
@@fitzant my family come from Derry so probably understand better than you. Confederates remind me of the orange order, fitting as now they worship a guy with orange skin.
@@michaelharper8407 doesn't prove anything but ok
Rest in Peace Henry Joy McCracken 🙏 Up the Republic ✊
