Unlocking Enhanced Visuals: Adding Composite Mod to European ZX Spectrum 128
It was a bit TLDW, so what was fixed? Did you replace the button or just repair it? Was the adjustment entirely with the pots sticking out on the back? Did the fuse blow?
Looks great! Any chance a Commodore 1351 mouse will be made? Looks identical, same connector, somehow internals different for use with c64/c128 and GEOS.
noice
Awesome product! I made something incredibly similar with my floppyemu but modeled after the external 800k drive. How did you get a proper rubber/plastic circular sleeved cable like that? I ended up using a cable from a broken apple floppy drive and rewired it so the pinout would properly match.
Would love to see that! The cable is from bad disks tyhat I have bought, but they are not that many so I'm looking for a wat yto make new ones.
A very lovely drive, Javier. Nice work!
Excelente trabajo Javier 👏👏👏🦾
Hmmmmm.... woke or not woke.
Woken!😏
Niiice! ❤
It does _not_ work just like an original. It doesn't get all gummed up and stop tracking properly like the original did. 😉
😅 Maybe we can add a virtual ball with dirt?
Guao en hora buena por tus creaciones, me encanta el transparente está de locos 🥳🥳😂🤪🤪🤪
¡Gracias!
Another banger. The original joysticks on Ebay go for more than my Apple 2c cost me.
Cool. Can you put a link to the USB card seller somewhere in the video description or comments? Thanks a lot!
it looks great! ... but I have pending to buy a mouse from you for my IIc, but I will get this after
Where did you get the core mechanism? I've been looking for something like it for a music project I've been working on on-and-off over the past few years...
From China, has to be modified, but works great!
I have the 3D printed one - it's great!
Thanks for the good feedback!
That's beautiful.
Can you paint it black? Great product and very much needed!
Seriously, I'm getting the MacEffects black 2c case so I can do performance art like this: th-cam.com/video/J5jEAaNw2Nk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=140GUxHrPED-Hlld&t=782
@@EricRangell yes, I have a black one, send me a note on your purchase and will mail the black version.
If you can get this interested with a fujinet I think you would own the floppy/hard drive retro solution market.
Maybe ujinet can come up with a screen option so we can make something similar...
What’s the backstory on that monitor? I know about the monochrome LCD that Apple made, but wow!
That's a Night Owl monitor, currently unavailable, and the support an invention of James LittleJohn. I have made the supports but hard to find the monitors now.
🤤
Great setup Jav! Looks amazing next to the IIC+!
Now I need one of those for me C-128
Hmm... crimp-style D-sub pins are quite available, so I'm thinking that a resin-type 3D printer should be able to make the 19-pin plastic pin holders & back shell - it won't be shielded, of course... but don't think it needs to be? 🤔
There's been some creations of those already, but seems they don't last much of connecting and disconnecting. DB19 connectors can be sourced, but so far they are pretty expensive ($8-$10 each) and making the cables is slow and costly, which would make the price increase.
Nice!👍
Hi ! Is it possible to get this sort of equipment for the C64 ? Thx
I've been investigating, the C64 is a weird system, but I'm working with some people to find a solution.
@ARCJavMaster hi. That's good news ! Hope you'll manage to get something from it 👍 Cheers
As shipping to Germany is exorbitant expensive, can you link to the original french design?
Contact me privately so I can look for alternatives, you will be pleasantly surprised.
I quoted and the cheapest is $18 via usps, you can pay the high rate, add a note, and I'll refund the difference. My focus is having my clients happy.
french neighbour here, will order one as soon as possible :) save me one Javier please pretty please
Can you build me one for my 8-bit Atari ( xl & xe ) computers??? The power inputs on the ataris used 5 pin din sockets.. I’ll bring it up on Dave’s Sunday Stream
I am looking into that, thanks for encouraging me!
I successfully tested the Atari version, will be ready in December.
honestly would probably be better to just leave it in the IIc and unplug the USB part also you could use a 15V PD power bank with your setup and have a IIc laptop, just gotta mount the power bank and the drive emulator
You the man Jav 👍 Put the lcd screen up for sale as well, made to order, with crazy IIc price coz those of us who bought the backlit keyboard are mad enough to buy that portable lcd screen as well🤣👍🙏 ( I saw the presentation by yourself and Rob at kansasfest, but I’d prefer a pre built one 😃)
I am working with MacEffects to provide a nice monitor solution, that one is unobtainable now.
I love mine. But it lives permanently on the computer.
You always nail a combo of 2c aesthetics and a professional fit and finish. Best 2c content on youtube, imo. Do you have a portable charger that could run it? You'd have the first reasonable actual portable 2c.
Thanks a lot! It really helps me push for more!
Floppy disk transparent door would be awesome. I didn't check the website, maybe they have one... Unless Javier is working on this already :)
Already made some, but have problems, it's expensive to make changes in that material.
Same type of stand was a thing in the 80s.
Now you just have to make a to scale decoder wheel for the game!
Wow cool 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Aesthetically pleasing machine. Back when computers felt more accessible and like machines where you truly owned what you bought. Appreciate how you made the buttons all work.
are the mini //e Disk ][ drives MicroSD slots? if not they should be.
Unfortunately, there are no cables and connectors small enough, tried already.
Yes-Mark does great work! I like the Retro box too!
Thanks, looking forward for the black one!
I love that box too, love the girl with the yellow long sleeve t-shirt (same as the //c user's guide and box)
You have a Fantastic Product Lineup Javier! I love all the things I’ve purchased from you
Do all current/future orders of the //c power adapter have the newly designed version?
I don't have a LISA, but thank you for kicking those EBAY Sharks squarely in the "donkey"! 😅 Nobody who wants a LISA mouse should be strong-armed into paying $500 or more. That's just insane. And now that insanity can finally come to an end. Not just that, but you have the Mac mice and A2 joysticks too, among other great things. Very exciting, Javier. My goodness! Where will the Apple II and Mac and LISA communities be without you! 👏👍 💛
Beautiful box. Stunning clear case. Fantastic Apple Logo. And a great disassembly and explanation by the Javmaster himself. Thank you, Mark and Javier!
Great selection of products, love the joystick I got from you! And I will be bugging you for a black and translucent IIc power adapter 😃 Thanks for all you do for the community 💙💜❤🧡💛💚
Hello Javier, All the products that yo have created are really great, and a must for the Community specially now a days that they are hard to get old Parts, congratulations and keep up the excellent work you do 👏👏👏👏🥳🥳🥳🥳🦾🦾😂
Looking awesome man! Any plans to do a black IIc drive faceplate for the black MacEffects IIc case?
🎉😊
Cool stuff!
Wow. Very nice work folks!
I like the frosted look! However this time around I went for the black case. I’m hoping it ships soon
black case ? Wooow.. I didnt know. Is is the same as the "Darth Vader Apple //e version" ?
Fascinating video! I have a Laser 128 with a Laser branded RGB monitor, but I never knew about half of the accessories you show here!
Thank you, the Laser was a great system and had a lot of peripherals and extras, happy that you enjoyed it ad learned something new!
