If you live in a state that doesn’t require a front license plate holder you can replace it with a bumper trim. Used aftermarket bumper trim parts to save some money and they installed like OEM. Bought them from carparts.com. With shipping it was under $30. Two mins to install.

Improved my MPG after doing this on my Ford F-150 truck. Cleaned the two MAP sensors and the MAF sensor and improved my gas mileage by 5 MPG. Ecoboost 3.5L V6.

I replaced my back window the was leaking for the sliding rear window and it was still leaking with new window and seal what I found about was those rubber trims was dry rotted so the water would go straight to the inside and not run it off like it was supposed to

I have the same fridge and same problem. How did you work on getting to the light in the freezer when the bulb in the top wall of the freezer and is very difficult to get to get to?
I'm 99% sure it's glued in place by their spray foam insulation. I have the same problem as in this video - freezer light and top lights in Fridge burnt out in my Whirlpool. Other videos indicated that freezer light is the first to go out and is usually stuck in place. Get a drywall knife (long flat blade) and wiggle it between the light and frame. Mine cracked in a corner because it was stuck in place due to the foam insulation. The other lights do not have this issue. Once you are able to get it out, the freezer light's wiring is also probably caked in insulation. You'll need to chip away at it enough that you can get to the light plug and pull it apart. At least you're ready for future repairs because apparently this specific light location goes out constantly in these fridges.

The LED probably overheated. LEDs need proper heat sinking! Why can’t we just go back to E26 sockets, so we’ll be able to install our own bulbs?
I have the same frig that you have. My top led lights are not working and the bottom freezer lights aren't working. What do I need to do?
@@SteveWade-j3w if it’s the same issue I encountered in the video then the bad LED is the one in the freezer. Replace that one and lights in the refrigerator will come back on, like a set of Christmas tree lights.
I sealed mine and around the top of the window and 3rd brake light....no leaks going on 3 years . ..

My whirlpool bought 5 years ago is doing very similar. First the freezer light went out. Then a few days later the top lights went dim. Side lights still work normal. Must be something about the freezer killing led lights. I will give this a try. Thanks for your video.

Mine was done under warranty. Your guy was wrong. Now I have a single light but I suspect it’s the actual bulb, not the fixture. Ordered one on Amazon for $15. Pretty sure it will be ok.
I wish Ford would just make something simple and strong. The rear window assembly, sliding window, and the 3rd brake light design has been garbage since 1986.
How did you install the new rivets?
Used a standard rivet gun. I first carefully drilled out the old rivets, put the new trim in place, then place rivet in gun then in the whole ensuring the trim is between the rivet and the metal/whole. Keeping pressure on the rivet start squeezing the rivet gun handle a few times until you hear the pop of the rivet. Note it’s important you use the factory rivet since it has plastic in the rivet hole to prevent water getting in. If you used a standard rivet you then need to make sure you get the right size rivet and need to cover the rivet hole with silicone or something to prevent water getting in.

This worked for me. Same situation. Kitchenaid fridge. The lights at the top and in the freezer went out. I replaced the lower freezer light only and everything worked again. Thanks! You do not need to remove the front door or anything. You can replace the led by pulling the top shelf in the freezer forward to give you enough room to access it. (I'm not an expert though, I'm not liable for any issues!)

Not sure, but as long as the parts you use withstands the 175 max PSI it should work.

Our fridge just did this too. Now I’m going to check and see if it is the freezer light. Same fridge. Must be a problem with them. Do you have American Home Shield home warranty? Just curious because that’s who we have
Yes, I have a American Home Shield and when they sent their technician they said it was the light board then American home shield informed me that they would not cover the light board and it would cost me $400 to repair. So that’s when I decided to troubleshoot the issue myself and figured out that the lights are configured just like Christmas tree lights; when one goes out, they all go out and that’s when I noticed the freezer LED light was out. Bought the replacement LED light for $14 and fixed it myself. Someone on the channel told me someone was charging them even more to fix it, but they followed my video and saved the money. Also, if you can like the video and subscribe to my channel, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you! How do you get the drawers out? Do we have to take the big door off and then take out both of the others? I have been trying to find a video with a fridge like this explaining the drawers.
@@mandyflaniken1900 I didn’t have to take the drawers out to get to light. It wasn’t that hard to get to light with drawers in place.

How do you remove the freezer light component without losing you religion?
You can use a putty knife and a flat head screwdriver or any flat tool that you can wedge underneath the light casing. It’s not hard in itself what makes it difficult is the location plus the drawer isn’t easily removable.

Good old Hunt and Peck method, What a great way to waist your money and possibly damaging other components. I love it I constantly have customers destroying their Appliances but they won't spend 75.00 for a service call. But they will destroy a 2000.00 Refrigerator. Ignorance at it's greatest.

Did you replace these because of a leak? My truck is leaking in this area and I am wondering if this is where the water is coming from. My seals are also loose on one side where the leaking is.

@@SexyTexas Turns out it was the back glass seal. Had the seal replaced and fixed it.

@@burleyg1063 it ended up just being the seal on my back glass which apparently is very common. The resealed my back glass for $200
