Hi, I am a student who attends Williamsville South high-school, 11th grade. I am seen in clips in this video during the challenges to change segment (in the green and white plaid dress). I just wanna say, Olivia's statement at 25:00 in the video deeply saddens and disgusts me. This is because she is fear mongering and targeting the LGBTQ+ community. The books she chose were made for queer students and contained queer sexual education. I do not believe she would have said the same things about a book with straight sexual education. Books like these are crucial for teens because queer sex ed is not something that is provided at our school and it is important that these books are provided. Many teens around this age do have questions about sex and possibly sexually active and books like these contain safe ways to engage in that sort of thing. If someone doesn't wanna interact with that stuff, simply don't get the book.
