I cannot find the steinbergers anywhere and my firebird desperately needs new tuners. Are you sure on this set you didn't over tighten the lock and I think we shouldn't cut the string before tuning up the first few times. Any ideas about this?

I've had both the Squier and the Fender version with me as first owner (sold the Squier about 18 years ago, stupid younger me..) Anyhow, i think it's spot on some of the things you mentioned, i loved that thin fast neck and it was very good set up from factory. And i don't know if i've dreamt this.. but i recollect the body as a little bit thinner. I wanted the fender to be the better guitar but imo the squier was more comfortable and easier to play. Thanks for the review and keep shredding them power chords for another 20 years!

This is useful for me. I have an old Yugoslavian guitar with a Gibson style head-stock and a Bigsby style vibrato unit. I'm trying to convert it the straight pull through the nut for tuning stability. I've plugged the original head-stock holes and I'm going to drill them out in new locations. Looks like I should go with the Steinberger Tuners based on this.

I’ve had one of these for years. The clean channel needs more love, because it’s fantastic! The Raw and Vintage modes can do anything.

Best amp ever. Bought one 15-20 years ago. Hard rock/punk (ish) band (still playing, actually). Drinfted through a few amps over the next few years, but came back to the rectoverb. Have been playing just this amp since. First one died (rehearsal room wiring issue possibly). Got another one. Mesa doesn't make them anymore, and the 25w head version isn't the same. Since my first one died I periodically pick up good ones on ebay. Have a combo, head, and a single rect head (same minus reverb). When we play bigger shows, the sound techs are usually surprised. Funny story -- I actually " Uncased " Billie's guitar at a airport hangar in Orlando. My buddy's friend was the boss there and he called and said Green Days shit was there all ready to be loaded for them to go overseas I think to Japan or whatever , this was in 2000. So I picked my buddy up we headed over . I uncased his guitar and just strummed it real quick 😃 Strings were loosened for flight. Billie Joes skateboard was leaned up against his bag so of course I took that for a quick spin around the hangar , ( Sorry Billie ) and last but not least , snagged a couple stickers . FUn TiMes !!! 😆

I just purchased the TD blink neck from Luke. Hopefully it ships this week. Cant wait to see yours and hopefully get some tips on assembling my own once it arrives!

Riot works are 40/1 ratio, VERY sensitive! Darrell Braun installed some that worked great🤷‍♂️

No matter what the price is, if it has two pickups and a selector switch, it should work. The volume and tone should work. Both pickups should work. I have a Squier Affinity Tele, and it works great. Hopefully it's a simple wiring issue on this guitar only. Starcasters have been around for a long time. I hope the Squier version lives up to it's price.

2:20 I played a Hagstrom Viking (like an ES-335) for 25 years, and I “retired” it last year. What I like about this guitar at first glance compared to a “traditional” semi hollow is the Fender scale length, master volume and tone, volume located near the bridge, and a slightly smaller more comfortably shaped body. This guitar would be a contender for a replacement. I have been playing a Strat style guitar since and while there is much to appreciate about it, I miss the midrange and thump of the semi hollow for recording, and also the ability to noodle/practice/compose without plugging in.

another guy that modded this on YT with a stratocaster neck said the intonation was abosolutely fine at 25.5 scale length. I would be curious to hear your further comments on this considering your assertions to the contrary in your video? thanks!

I recently aquired a Squier Tom Delonge Strat someone had absolutely abused the body. I had to strip the paint, it was a three piece body. i'd have to asume yours would be the same.

i'm gonna end up getting a Fender or Squier strat and making a Tom out of it...cuz i aint paying what some folks are asking for their used "vintage" Squier Tom's lol.....they are awesome guitars and i'm glad you still have yours...never sell it dude....Fender is killing it with the guitars especially lately..i've got 3 Squiers and 1 Fender at this point,1 of which is a bass,all are phenomenal

I have one these Boogie Amps, which I bought through a used online gear trade. I love that it it has so much bass. Even with the bass set on 4, or 10:00, produces the biggest, most Bad-Ass Bass amp bump I have ever heard. All though you have a good selection between us, for different channels. You have every tonal option known to man. And you may also want to watch your head. Because something is coming very close to hitting it!
