again I skipped the anti-ice, packs, and bleeds. If the APU is running then the bleeds should have been transferred and you'll leave the packs on until they connect you with external air which takes a while. Anti-ice isn't going to be a big issue during the summer time (when I made this video) but during the winter make sure to shut it off or you'll get a bleed misconfig message as a reminder.

    1:42 - They were not seconds! More like half seconds.... You don't know the basic way of counting more accurate seconds? One thousand, Two thousand, Three thousand. Those were far too fast, which is why you thought the repeater came after 7 seconds. In *real* seconds that was bang on 10.

    Sorry to bombard you with questions. I'm just wondering for when you do start the second engine in single engine taxi is it now just GIE? Generator on, Ignition off and verify the gen on the second engine has taken a load? Thanks!!

    • @LifeModCorp
      @LifeModCorp 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The engine start is part of the First Officers flows. A single engine flow after left engine start would be Gen 1 on, configure bleeds/APU, ignition off, packs on, electrics checked

    For the stab trim test does pushing one channel or the other turn the other channel off, if so how do you turn both back on? Or when you test channel 2 do you have to deselect channel 1 first? I've never flown a CRJ and am starting on one in the next few months so these switches are new to me. Thanks!

    • @nknutson1
      @nknutson1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, they are only turned off when you press the stab trim disconnect on the control wheel. They are re-engaged when you press each one individually.

    People may be wondering about the hockey stick comment. At the 1:21 mark you'll see a green vertical line with a hook to the left (looks like a hockey stick) going from the batt bus at the top to the apu batt dir bus and main batt dir bus on the bottom. When you turn the apu on, connect the gen, and check the electrical page (3:42 second mark) that green line (hockey stick) should be gone.

    Is it necessary to check the exhaust area of the APU on the CRJ200 to make sure that it is clear? Or is it assumed? I suppose that could be an issue on any jet, but especially the 200.

    • @nknutson1
      @nknutson1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wasn't specifically part of a checklist but there was a proper stand-off zone you could find somewhere in the SOPs. As well, whomever did the pre-flight walk around would assess the overall condition of that part of the plane as well. As an FO tbat would do a lot of walk arounds in tbe cold you'd find me standing next to the APU exhaust many a times warming my hands in the fridgid northern winters. Sometimes even roasting marshmallows ;)

      As pilots it didn't matter what paint job we were flying, i think it was a bigger deal for the flight attendants and the uniforms and announcements they had to make.
