H.E. is my biggest problem and I agree about the taste of Lactalose...EEK! When I have an H.E. event (which I call Bubble Brain) I feel like a balloon and am afraid I will get sucked up into the sky and float away. It doesn't sound too bad, but I find it super scary. I also can't drive anymore because I pass out. My Meld score is 32 as of 2 weeks ago, and I'm waiting for a transplant. The surgeon said I need to eat a lot of protein and I'm on this exercise program to keep from becoming too frail for surgery. I also started keeping a journal, mainly to keep track of what doctors say, appointments and such, but I also find it helps to sort out my feelings.
I like your videos because I don't feel so freaky and alone, so thank you.

My husband is in an HE episode right now. It's been progressively getting worse for 4 days now he's having a hard time staying awake. The meds to make him release the toxins are becoming less effective. I appreciate your videos. They make me feel a lot less alone. Thank you for sharing your cirrhosis journey. I truly am grateful!

Most of what you have been through I have also. It might sound morbid but it's comforting to know ow that there are people like us in the world. Thanks for sharing your time. 😊

EXCELLENT video sir! I have liver disease too. And I also follow the guy you mentioned.
I was a mechanic a while ago too. It crippled me just doing an oil and filter change at Christmas. If I kneel down I can barely get up. I've got dampers and spring to replace asap..I'm not looking forward to that. I want to keep my 14 year old car going as long as I am able and safe to keep driving.
Living 10 miles away from the nearest town with only one bus in and back a day isn't a pleasant thought. Think I'd probably give up the will when I need to stop driving.
    Peace bro 🙂

Great video Neil.Well done ! On the child Pugh score I’m an A very close to being B.I dropped my weight over December January this year from 104kg to now sitting on 88kg.Mr diabetes disappeared and other things improved. Here in Australia there are a few hospital nutrition guides which are pretty good but nearly all relate to full on BC& D scores.I stoped any junk in my diet and then went Mediterranean diet eating plants nuts beans olive oil fish etc but had to eat large quantities of food to hit the protein levels I needed as I’m not supposed to eat red meat so that leaves mainly chicken and some fish. Then I find about the high purine & alfatokin levels in the nuts and plants especially almonds spinach etc.which made me rethink the diet again. To be honest I’d like to see at Hospital and govt.level specific meal plans that took those things into consideration so if you’re an ABC or D level you can access base plans to work on because when asked how I did all this I have to say ‘trial and error’ which on some days is problematic especially with the .protein levels.I understand why so many people give up early on the journey and stay on what they were originally eating because without specific help you’re left to do it for yourself whereas if the health authorities stepped in early maybe a lot more people would live a better life for a longer period of time.I’m thankful for the help I’ve had along the way including your videos which are very useful and to the point.Cheers !

Much of what you have experienced I have been through also. It might sound morbid but I take pleasure knowing that there are people out there dealing with this disease like us. Might sound weird but I feel less lonely. If you know what I mean.😊 Thanks for the share. It was rather informative.😊

HE IS SO SCARY!! I saw this with my LO that ultimately pushed her to detox… thank goodness she has not had such a bad episode since she detoxed 9 months ago. She is last stage decomposed cirrhosis. And on lactulose 3 times a day plus multiple other medications

I had a touch of that when I was in the hospital and the first three months home. There was an incident at the hospital that to this day I don't know if it really happened or not. Then later the whole knowing the concept of what you want to say but not being able to put the words together.

Have you looked at the carnivore diet? Seems to help some pretty extreme issues. Might be worth a gander

My sister is in hospital right now. She has this. She has Hep C. She is not strong enough to be home. They already want her out of hospital. They are talking to me about Hospice. Is that normal.

They removed 2.5 liters off her belly.71 years old. What do I do? Nobody told me about a liver. Is it because she is poor?
