Pickerel Frog Gets a BIG UPGRADE (and more!)
Pickle the pickerel frog has been waiting for his renovation long enough, and it’s about time I gave that frog what he deserves! I’m incredibly pleased with the environment he has now, the dense greenery and dark log coves suited his needs perfectly.
And in other news, the two toads are going to be housed together very soon! For all the toad fans out there, I’ve included plenty of content in this video. Stay tuned for the next one!

Hi! I've worked at Josh's Frogs for almost a decade, so I think I can offer some good advice in regards to the mold issue. You don't need to stir the media, even if you see dry powder at the bottom after adding your boiling water (I made sure this was added to our new media labels!). It may take a few days for the dry mix at the bottom to be incorporated, but the fly larvae that are laid in the media will churn it up and mix it. This should help keep humidity a bit higher in your culture, and hopefully eliminate your mold issue. If you start seeing some white mold after the first few days, you can mist inside the culture with RO or distilled water, as that's usually a sign that it's a tad too dry. Hope this helps!

I think yobby just let it rip, no regards to anyone else around. In all seriousness I don't think it was hostile, I think Yobby was just overwhelmed from getting picked up and put there. One time incident!
18x18x36 is the minimum recommended size. Also recommended to give them 60-80% foliage
The terarium for crested gecko need to be vertical
I would definitely give way more climbing opportunities and a raised hide! they are an arboreal species so they sometimes use ground hides but much prefer heights and lots of jumping opportunities. I will mind you the minimum for an adult crested gecko is 2ft high, also adding some leaf litter and some isopods and springtails will really help keep the tank maintained!
@@redjacket5828 all very good to know. What do you recommend for a raised hide? I’ve looked into some but i was never sure whats good for her. And do you recommend any particular brand of those thick climbing vines?
@@hobbybiologyexo Terra or fluker’s have pretty good climbing vines for crested geckos. As far as arboreal hides go, hanging coconut or moss hides works well (from brands such as exo Terra or Zilla… but you can even find 3D printed hides). As long as your gecko has a way to climb up to it, all should work out. Btw, when you put something into your reptile’s enclosure they may not use it right away. Have patience and leave it in there for a month or so, that way they get time to get used to it and not be weirded out by change.

@@Marilynmoonchild The unfortunate news is the wolf spider passed a few months ago…. She had 2 egg sacs total in her time with me which could have done it, I like to believe she was at the end of her life cycle by then. She was interesting, and very well fed

What do you feed it ?
I feed it crickets just about daily since most of the time, especially since it's grown a lot over the year. Fruit flies too. If you don't have access to either of those, what I did was collect earwigs from around my house and kept them in some containers with carboard and carrots. But easiest is obviously crickets, I'm sure they have them at the local pet store!

My frog is all white. I think it’s Albino. Anyways.. it’s in a fish tank filled with full water for past 4 months and never came out of the tank.. I never knew frogs are basically fish.
I’m VERY curious as to what kind of frog you have and how the setup looks….. because most frogs prefer a mix of land and water. If you’d ever be willing to share through google drive, i’d love to give tips where i can. Plus a white frog sounds fascinating!
