It’s chilly here in Bent Mountain Virginia too! Like 40s at night. I just got a few books I got Witches get it Done by Molly Harper, Morbidly yours by Ivy Fairbanks. I am currently reading Witch way to murder by Shirley Damsgaard, and Pall in the Family by Dawn Eastman and We used to Live here it’s creepy

I just finished Assistant to the Villain a couple of days ago and I really enjoyed it a lot! Can't wait to hear your opinion on it🤩

I downloaded The Love Hypothesis on my Kindle last month and I still haven't read this or any other book by Ali Hazelwood 🤭 Reading about science is something that doesn't intrigue me at all but I really wanna know what the hype is about😅 So maybe in fall I will at least try to pick it up😊

I really enjoyed June Farrow and hope you’ll like it more than Spells for Forgetting! Also I DNF’ed The Wishing Game so I wouldn’t necessarily prioritize that one, just my opinion though 😂 Some books I want to read in September include The God of the Woods, Clytemnestra, Bright Young Women, The Graveyard Book, A Sorceress Comes to Call, and then we’ll see from there!!

I just finished Glow of the Everflame (LOVED IT). So I want to read Heat of the everflame in September.

I also loved that series and vampire romantasy! Excited for the 3rd book coming out soon.

Up From Dust is pretty good, I read it earlier this year. My favorite biblical fiction author is Mesu Andrews. She does so much research for her stories and really stays true to the timeline. I also love her back story on how she said she hated biblical fiction, but then God guided her to write it😂.

The only one I've read is Ashes and The Star Cursed King and I really liked it as much as the first one I hope you get to it lol. Just Last Night is on my TBR for September too regardless of what I draw from my jar lol but I haven't read The Love Hypothesis, The Wishing Game, or Assistant to the Villain either so you're not alone! You're right you just don't feel eager to read them and when you have so many choices I just try to go with my gut. But excited to hear your thoughts on all of these.

I enjoyed the unmaking of June farrow so much more than spells for forgetting! Hopefully you love it. Sept reading plans are Pumpkin Spice Cafe, Spell Shop, the unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic, and wisteria.

I’m rereading the Shadow Demons Saga series since the author Sarra Cannon is getting ready to write the last book, so I’m rereading it so I remember what happened in the series.

If there are books on your TBR that you really don’t want to read then you need to unhaul them so someone else can enjoy! Reading is supposed to be fun right?

I hope you enjoy all of the books you read in September! I want Pumpkin Spice everything! A cozy mystery series I want to get to in September is A Riley Creek Mysteries by Mary Lucal. It written by a birder and has a birding element to it which the other hobby I do when not reading. I will also be reading Furever After by Sofie Kelly, The Grim Steeper by Gretchen Rue and Death on Deck by Courtny Bradley (Courtagonist on You Tube).

I was hesitant going into the Love Hypothesis and ended up loving it. Because of the academic vibes, I think it works for autumn but can understand you wanting to switch it out. I hope your reads go well. I am excited to read Wisteria by Adalyn Grace and Tiger's Tale by Colleen Houck. Have a great month.

Oooh…I gave The Love Hypothesis 2 stars. I had high hopes for a STEM book, but was disappointed. I hope you like it better than I did. It was my first, and only, book by Hazelwood. I look forward to hearing your review.

12:59 I think I actually prefer little to no synopsis when I’m watching booktube…so it doesn’t bother me that you don’t give much of a summary! I like to know the genre and maybe a few words like “classic mystery involving *xyz*” or something like that!

😂 I’m giggling at “this book is really sad….which *is* a buzzword for me 😂😂😂❤ I still haven’t decided if I like sad books, I think I mostly don’t but i definitely get in a mood for them sometimes!

I recently read Assistant to the Villain and loved it! It is so funny and fast-paced, with great medieval fall vibes! I hope you enjoy it :)

I gave both The Love Hypothesis & Assistant to the Villain 5 stars. Just be forewarned Assistant to the Villain is very slow paced the 1st half of the book, but the second half is chef's kiss. I gave The Unmaking of June Farrow 2 stars. I hope you like it more than I did.

I'm also about to read Wishing Game in Sep. Let's hope we both love it! I am adding the Unmaking of June farrow cause it actually sounds good. We are still having 88° degree days here so I'm mentally going to try to enter fall mood haha
