"Robotnik is a hero" entry somewhat makes sense because originally he was going to be the protagonist and the hero, but then his role was changed to villain and Sonic becomes the hero.

I'm not one for stealing, it's bad. However, this is a special case. Whoever stole that beta of Sonic 2 from that toy fair is a god damn hero.

The original game sucked, the creepypasta was bad too, but the fangames (in my opinion) are WAY better. Sonic.OMT is basically Sonic.EXE but way better. Then they remastered the original, following the original story, but making it again (in my opinion) WAY better. The death seens are much more brutal, the characters dying isn't one high-pitched scream, instead it's WAY brutal. Incase you wanna play this, even though your probably not even in Sonic.EXE, I won't say anything more.

I feel like a lot of these old creepypastas really benefitted from the era they were written in. A big part of why they were so creepy at the time was because I don't think people were as familiar with things like Photoshop. You'll notice that it's often an iconic image that's usually better known than the actual stories themselves. How many people today actually know the story behind Jeff the Killer or Smile.jpg? I think an era where Creepypasta wasn't so readily memed on and it wasn't commonly known that people online would use photo editing software to create scary-looking images. You would see an image and your brain would initially parse it as being a real photograph, and the memory of initially seeing those images really stuck with you. Most of the time, even back then, the stories themselves kinda sucked. But the image (which often isn't even paired with the creepypasta originally) would continue living rent free in your head for a long time.

i know this video is 2 years old, but sonic adventure real life photos refers to how sonic team, on a trip to Mexico, took many photos. some of these were used for textures in sa1.

24:24 this is true. Gerald robotnik did research on angel island, which is how he created the artificial chaos enemies and the bio lizard. He probably based the bio lizard off of the mural seen in SA1, and when that didn’t work maybe he looked at the mural where you find knuckles that depicts the final boss of 3K. He thought “that hedgehog looks very powerful. That must be the ultimate life form!” He then made shadow off of that image

Not gonna lie, Who I Am is an amazing song - IMO it fits the edginess of Shadow's intro better than I Am All of Me. I wasn't very into Broken, but I unironically listen to Who I Am alongside I Am All of Me pretty often. Highly recommend that song for anyone who's into the genre tho.
