    Folding over the edges is no good because it doesn't fit back on the way it should. Cut precise and zip tie it.

    Try a stainless Gilroy era Indian scout shift rod. They will fit, just press a 3/8-1/4 bushing into each heim joint

    Every bike I've owned, which is over 40, have been on a battery tender whenever parked, and I have replaced 1 battery in 45 years. My 2020 Scout included and it still has the oem battery in December 2024.

    My #1 complaint has to be the need to remove the tank for maintenance. #2 no fuel gage. #3 suspension, front & rear.

    These are designed to be used with the dust seal off & not used with the seal down because as you spin it you allow dust inside the fork. They are also best used by removing the fork & holding the cleaner & spin the fork instead. You get far better results as they are designed to allow oil flow out of the fork to carry the dust.

    the but weight of your legs are not being included, when measured correctly you should have both feet up on the pegs, so this is a close try but not accurate

    I want a bobber but I sat on one today and it was so uncomfortable. Need to figure out maybe what handlebars to use so I’m not sitting so forward if possible

      A lot of people swear 8"-10" apes make a huge difference. My bike is clearly not built for comfort lol

      ​@Jimbobbington did check but they were outta stock. However, the scout 60 parts, that said wouldn't fit the 20, fit...not too sure if they just don't update the site with fitment.

    You can roll the rubber down enough to get a wrench on the flats, no problem.

    Thank you, I replaced my stock cable with Barnett cable, and now I have more free play than recommended, and I also noticed that the odometer won't show me the current gear, I think it's all related

      Factory Manual spec is always recommended in matter like this every one has a preference, but at the end of the day your clutch case will thank you for saving smiles for miles and pre mature wear and tear.

      I don't know the size of the bolts, they all came in a kit i purchased that is no longer available. The tank is just double layered vinyl.

      I don't have these in the bike anymore. They did look cool and there wasn't any problem with them, but they weren't very comfortable. I've gone through 4 sets of grips i think just trying different ones for the fun of it.

    Non-chlorinated brake cleaner for the caliper and pistons, and what else? Did you clean the components with a brush? Or compressed air? Or just a rag? I’m totally new to mechanics, but determined to do my jobs on my Scout. Thanks for the vid.

      Just regular old brake cleaner, don't know if it was chlorinated or not. Just sprayed everything and wiped with a rag.

      Haha, I'm sure I've been +- 40 lbs across my videos haha. But yeah I've been working on it for about a year again. Lost 25-30 lbs in the last year. Took up running again and I'm up to 15-25 miles a week depending on how I feel .

      Haha that there is the Hacker Mayhem with baffles. It was amazingly violent. I eventually switched to the Dirty Bird exhaust because I was tired of scraping my pipes on the ground.
