Love, love, love your videos! This is my first year in 2nd grade (and I'm in love) at a new school in a new state! I taught 2 years of 1st grade before. I'd love to see how you plan your days/weeks especially since you have so much experience in 2nd! And/or see how you do math stations/rotations! Math is my favorite too!

You should offer the books and other items you don't want anymore to your student teacher. They can always use things to set up their first classroom. Love your room setup!

You can circuit a pencil/crayon or school supplies on your sign.

This is such an unconventional teacher tool, but I keep those sliders for carpet and furniture in my classroom. Game Changer! Some things are just so hard to move on the carpet. Lol everyone comes to my room to borrow them. Laminating the drawer labels would make them last. Then use double sided tape. They will take shape of the drawer better. Love the tapestry. Love your classroom.

I teach 2nd. All the series you showed, I got rid of. I only kept the rainbow magic fairy books because I loop 2nd and 3rd grade, and a lot of the girls love it.

So far this year I removed the Rainbow Fairies and Geronimo Stilton series because they were not checked out of my classroom library at all. I replaced them with two growing series that my students checked out often. Which fonts did you use on your apple?

I know you’re not done but I absolutely love the organization of your room. It looks so welcoming. I would love to be a student in there!

Keep books in case you move up to a higher grade

Just found your channel. Cute classroom. Would it work better if you get an extra color container for people colors? One drawer could be crayons, the other color pencils and the last markers of people colors. Just a thought.

Maybe your student teacher would like some of the books for his/her future classroom library. 😊

If kids aren't reading a series, read one of them as a read aloud and then they get popular.

That's awesome that you will have a student teacher! You'll be a great mentor! I love the cute little space you are setting up for her. I felt very welcome when my cooperating teacher did something similar.

Cam Jamson and a-z mysteries were very popular in my library before I retired. Does anyone read Encyclopedia Brown any more? Could never keep them on the shelf.
