Can You Put Too Much Lotion On Your Tattoo?
I love 2nd skin, I've been getting tattoo for over 20 years and 2nd skin us by far the best product to ade healing, I've just finished another large tattoo on my leg that my artist wants to enter into "best healed work" at blackpool tatcon in the uk. So I'm doing everything possible to keep it looking amazing.
Heck Yeah!!!! Second Skin is the way to go!
Hi Cody, To heal my tattoos I am using a product called “after ink nature” from an Italian brand called “tattoo defender”. It is made of natural ingredients and with no petrolatum! I think this is the best out of all the products I tried… I never tried bandages like saniderm (don’t know if they are available in Italy though) but I think I definitely will… hughs
would you say getting a half sleeve tattoo at 18 will affect me getting a part time job
In my limited personal experience (i only know MY skin and have only one artist i go to for all my ink), I've found that any linework sessions heal better dry. But anything with color/saturation/larger surface area, my best bet has been once a day moisturization
I’ve had a crucifix down the side of my neck, I thought that hurt more then my ankle and foot
Pain is different for everyone, also depends on who’s tattooing. My first tattoo that someone else done on me was on the side of my neck, honestly if there wasn’t a bunch of people around when I was getting tattooed I would of cried, the tattoo artist was going far too deep.
Aquaphor works great on tattoos. Taking advice from people (including tattoo artists) who don't like Aquaphor doesn't.
i cook a lots and the heat is high asf,i always sweat and pat dry it,but it kinda loose some ink on my new tattoo
I agree with these, I'd also say the shoulder blade isn't bad at all, inner forearm, surprisingly, none of my face tattoos really hurt much at all, although they're simple and didn't take long, I have a heart with 3 sparkles and several dots on the top corner of my forehead near the hairline, and it barely hurt at all, a small heart on the cheekbone I barely felt, and a freckle above my top lip that we kept touching up to arrange the shade of it, almost no pain... 3 on my hand didn't really hurt but one did... foot was brutal even though small, side of neck blasted is one you better mentally prepare for, it was absolutely INSANE how bad it was, that I had to tap out and have a 2nd session, and had me thinking I don't know how I'm gonna get through this one....but its a huge full color peony, and it looks absolutely BADASS, but yeah I really earned that one.... I agree with all the spots you mention, and that shoulder blade I threw in because I remember it being pretty easy. Center of the back on the spine is kinda rough though....
My tatooe is still shiny more then a month afther I made it. Is that something that passes and how fast?
Dry healing is the best it concentrate the ink inside the skin wet healing is best after 7 days
Elbows don’t really hurt tbh anywhere on the back is 10x worse in my experience
My worst was easily my kneecap. Its bear paws right there kinda grabbing it but jesus it was most painful and barely went on the knee
Crazy. I have 2 full sleeves all the way down to my finger tips. Hands covered and all. Literally was a breeze for me. I’m my opinion, back of the calf’s was the only time I had a hard time sitting through it.
The most painful I have had are. Sternum and back of knees so far.
I think getting to any age above 60 and it's your privilege to be able to get a tattoo! ❤❤❤
Neck?
I've got an artist that wants a $1,000 deposit before I even see a drawing. WTF? Is that even close to normal?
Dang!!! That’s wild! That is NOT normal…
I have a full sleeve, shoulder to fingers. I cleaned it only and left it alone. Never applied anything during the healing process. Ink remained flawless.
Scale 1 out of 10 what's the pain between the shoulder blades upper back
I bought fragrance free argan oil. And ironically on my third day caved in and bought Aquaphor since EVERYONE said they used that 🤦🏻♂️
I gotten a lot of tattoos and have a very high pain tolorance but the calf was a bitch for me man.
It was about a 15 days that i had a tatto and because I made a tattoo of a cross, every line is raised.I dont have the pain or itch on it and i think its peeled off,its just raised lines to touch.I wash it everiday 2 times and keep it moisture with Nivea cream.Should I be worryed or it will go away with time?
How much! Nothing
take that dumb nose ring out doesnt suite you at all
Was the saniderm roll you had the large?
Guys I want anyone who has these raised lines to read my story - My tattoo (whole inner arm) looked to heal fine then suddenly all lines were raised. It took 3 months and they went down to normal. All the anxiety I felt reading stuff on the internet made it worse I think! I was panicking because I have many other tattoos with no issues. Sometimes the body just does weird stuff and it was all healing. Give it time and don't worry about it!
Thanks for the insight. The exact thing is happening to me. My friends who have tattoo said my raised lines are normal and will go away after a few weeks. I’m on Week 3 of healing my tattoo.
My tattoos raise up after 20yrs why? Anyone else?
It actually bothers me whenever people say "no the client cannot/is not allowed to design their own tattoo" like if it's gonna be on the clients body for their whole life than they should be allowed to and no one should be offended by that. Unless the tattoo is either offensive or it won't age well.
I just got my 12th tattoo which is a hand tattoo I also have half a sleeve and a big back piece and I wet heal my tattoos every time. I always use tattoo balms/ointments. I clean my tattoo twice a day dry it then apply the balm/ointment. My tattoo itches far less and heals perfectly every time.
I'm a week in and I'm just now putting lotion on. I've been putting A&D ointment for days 🙃
The one on my bicep wasn't too bad, little tender near the armpit, little bit tender near the elbow. Behind the ear I felt nothing, wrist was pretty good, back of shoulder I felt nothing either. My most painful honestly? The forearm. Half due to the fact it was done too deep in spots. It was my first tattoo.
I found my calf tattoos way more painfull then like my chest tattoo
My tattoo got infected I was prescribed bactroban ointment. Will that pull my color out?
"Dry healing" is crazy!!!
Ive got a finger tattoo, it certainly hurt a little more than my other tattoos but i think the pain is a subjective thing, we all have different pain thresholds. yes i did have to go for a touch up, yes he virtually had to redo the whole tattoo and he was great and did it for free. I will definitely keep the touch ups going as the tattoo means a lot to me. A tip id share would be think about what you have tattooed be sure you are happy to have this showing, other tattoos can be more easily covered for social, work purposes, its not the same for finger tattoos. THINK before you get inked!!!
Just got my fingers done, feels like a hot needle near the bone but other than that it really didn’t hurt
I’m a machinist so I never wear rings 👍🏼
Is it wrong to ask another artist for a touchup because i dont have access to the original artist because they were a guest artist at a convention
on my 3rd touch up on my fingers. hopefully it’ll be my last with wet healing lol
Got a snake from knuckle to knuckle on my index last year detail wil fade fast like the scales but i still love it
Thank you! This video was very informative and answered all my questions. 😊
If you have raised lines after it’s healed he scared you plain and simple
fuckin obnoxious editing
Can I use savalon ? And dove skin cream ?
what if its itchy AF a year later
I’ve been covering my tattoos with long sleeve for many years I feel ready to show them but scared of people’s judgement and opinions will they care?
I had a girls name on my hand yes i know stupid but i got it covered the best i could 8 days into the healing process just were the writing is its become a little bumpy and it occasionally itches rest of the tastoo on my hand and up my outer forearm is absolutely fine
I’ve seen quite a few people under 20 wanting face tattoos
Love Saniderm for my tattoo healing process!!! So much nicer ( and cleaner ) than the traditional manner.
