- A buddy found this spot last weekend to be up high and be able to drop down kind of low so I figured I would give it a try. I was hoping for the fields to be full of canola blooms but so far it hasn’t fully happened yet. Winds were pretty high, 15-20mph but it made for easy landing even though I was coming back up the hill into a solid headwind. I gave it a touch of throttle just before landing to get it closer to me and that worked just right. The Altus did really well considering how windy it was, it’s a fabulous fixed wing.
I didn’t use the AtomRC pan servo as much on this flight but it’s still really cool to be able to look around and check things out.

Wow, that looks fantastic. The plane is really good in the air. Is it also pleasant to look at in the goggles? Always have a good flight 😊
It’s really fantastic to fly and can stay up in the air for a very long time. It is amazing in the goggles, I’m using DJI O3 and Goggles 2!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Landscape looks cultivated...what with?...🤔😳🇬🇧
I believe large combines.
@@smithe68 Oh, it's wheat?....What's unusual is the rolling landscape. Not sure that suits Combines....🤔😳😳🇬🇧
@@EnglishTurbines it does here! Not my video but this is part of the area th-cam.com/video/6TMEIFdSFQI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gXz5CGZa1Q3fyA5v
@@smithe68 Wow, that's amazing, those Combines are specials for sure....😮😮😏🇬🇧
The heq gimbal looks nice; not sure if the limit for roll damping can be set by user.
It looks really nice. I wonder how heavy it is compared to my 3D printed one.
Maximum altitude ?
I’ve seen videos of people going very high but from my takeoff about 375 feet.
