5 reasons not to buy the AEG 58V line trimmer/edger.
Is it any good? I'm not 100% sure. There's no doubt the AEG 58V line trimmer is a powerful unit backed by a long warranty.
However after 2 years of ownership with one warranty replacement, here are 5 reasons why I probably would not purchased it again.

AEG have updated the 58V line trimmer. My original unit had a motor burnout and was replaced by the current model under warranty. The process to change the line is identical, just looks a different.

Snorkelling off Malolo Island Resort

Snorkelling from the end of the wharf at Malolo Island Resort Fiji. The coral wasn't great but there's a lot of fish to see. The resort is quite exposed and gets a lot of wind. Best to snorkel early in the morning providing the tide is up.
Snorkelling around Malolo Island Sandbar
มุมมอง 1445 ปีที่แล้ว
Off the western side of Malolo and Malolo Lailai Island is a sandbar popular with tourists for playing in the sand and snorkelling. We had planned to visit Sunflower Reef however this was cancelled due to poor weather conditions so we headed here instead. While the coral was average there was an abundance of fish to swim with. The current was very strong when we visited and not ideal for poor s...

Australia's Wonderland Sydney - FOUND! Abandoned Theme Park
มุมมอง 7K6 ปีที่แล้ว
In 2004 after 19 years of operation Australia's Wonderland closed its doors. The rides were sold off or demolished to make way for an industrial estate. Hidden in the scrub you can still find discarded items including paddle boats from Magilla Gorilla's Flotillas, Scooby's Silly Stix, Ned Kelly's Getaway, Fred Fintstone's Splashdown and a few tubes from the Snowy River Rampage. Much more has be...

Commissioned in 1888, the Boothtown aqueduct in Greystanes NSW was built to allow water to flow across the valley as part of the Prospect Reservoir system. It is approximately 225 metres long, has 22 arches with each spanning 9.1 metres. In 1892 the side walls collapsed from water pressure. They were reconstructed with concrete and tie rods fixed to the outside however after continued failures ...

North Rocks Dam (flood retarding basin) was built to slow down flood waters through Darling Mills Creek towards Parramatta. At 30m high the water is funneled through the lower tunnel. I don't think the "no graffiti" signs are working.

How to extract the string after it has been chopped down, nice video
Great video!!!!
Cheers bloke
The biggest mistake In Australia was opening 7days a week originally from weekends & school holidays
AEG should pay you - their booklet images are hopeless and this video is a life-saver. THANK YOU.
@desmonddarby2595 thanks, but I don't think they like my other video about the things I hate about this machine
Thanks 1 hour of I can work it out how hard can it be. Should of just watched your simple clip. Too easy. 🍻
Very helpful thank you
Ex- public servant here. Thank you for sharing this. I have pushed paper so long I have forgotten how to be useful.
Awww This is sad....I loved wonderland when I was a kid.....I never thought it would of ended up looking like this. 🥺
How sad!!!! My heart, the good ol times!
This is really depressing
Perfect explaination
Before Wonderland I lived on that site as a five year old boy in the former army camp. That’s well over 60 years ago
Wallgrove? One of my other videos th-cam.com/video/HOM6oMjg4M4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RL4WmHkUJps829Lm
More history , gloomy
Yep you broke me very sad 😢😢
A dark mirth from the old jingles played over the ruin. Oh and i guess there was no corporate environmental responsibility from the company after they cut and run
A brilliant touch , the vision seemed to mock the soundtrack . This is slightly reminiscent of the aftermath documentaries of Cyclone Tracy in Darwin . As for Wonderland , I am actually quite surprised that there is even this much remaining as I had assumed that the land had been built over . Thanks for this evocative video . 👍
It a shame it closed for good sad ..
WTF? ITS NOT AN AVJ JENNINGS ESATE UET?
I saw another video stating the previous animal keepers would break in to the dilapidated grounds to feed/rescue the animals that were left behind. Disgraceful.
Thanks for the use of this video, I have shared this.
Well that explains why i couldn't unscrew the circle thing.
Well that explains why i couldn't unscrew the circle thing.
I have that model too. I think the issue isn't so much the weight, but the balance of the machine. Also when you're vertically challenged, the angle of the trimmer to pole is at a horrible angle it's more designed for 7 foot Vikings.
The only video that made it simple. Thank you.
Sometimes it looks like a ghost town!
Brilliant demonstration. Thank you!
Manual = useless. Your video = oh, that's easy. Thanks mate 👍
I've got the 18V and it works hard. I'll usually go through 2-3 6amp hr batteries trimming my place.. Nice and light and very powerful - that was coming from a 2 stroke FS45 Stihl. I've never been wanting for more power. Great for edges, blending and long stints. Given the size of our block I think the 58V would be too heavy but, would be interesting to try. I've had one battery replaced under warranty, but it was very quick - no complaints there.
Thanks bro
Thank you.
Yep, good video. The “manual” is crap. But to squeeze the retaining clips in while simultaneously pulling the spool cap off you need either hands like a gorilla or two people. Preferably one of those people should not be your wife! My nose will heal up on its own but it’ll be bent for life.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for making it easy to understand 💪💪
Thank you so much for this simple & easy to follow video. I had wasted lots of time trying to manually wrap the cable around the spool. This was a breeze! 😄
Me too! I’d just finished saying to my son, These things are stupid! They need to figure out an easier way. (Because the manual was useless and I was trying to wind it on manually 😂 - which I’ve five before and remember what a pain it was!) Watched this vid and did it in about 1-2 minutes! So easy! No need for a redesign after all 😂😂
Thank you wouldloveapizza. I can now do what I could not! So much appreciated 🤗
Great Video , Short Sweet and covers everything . Love ya work bro thx
A picture worth a thousand words. Couldn't understand the manual, all pictures no words. I guess ur video worth a thousand pictures. I watched it. Did it in minutes.
Your straight to the point video has enabled me the achieve something I gave up on 12 months ago and then resorting to trimming edges with my hands. But this time I was determined to work it out and yours is the second video that has showed me how to do it as they must be all different and I needed to find an AEG cordless snipper instruction video. The only extra thing that was fully needed to complete the task once started was elbow grease and strong fingers and thumb. Thanks again ;)
FFS wear eye protection everytime people!!! A guard won't stop everything 🥽🤦
Thank you!
Thank you for this friend! Also lol at the hilariously Australian soundscape in the background. Love it
Amazing! Thank you
fantastic video, do you know if this is the same system on the 18V AEG ?
Sorry not sure but would be surprised if they weren't.
Legend!! Less than 2 min video. Perfect for my attention span!
@1min 30sec mark is the GoKart track I had made for the trainees when I was GoKart Officer (looks like you can still race it)
thanks mate this had me stumped
Thank you for the demo 👍
@2.23 , is that where the Go-Cart Club House was during operating nirimba days.
Yes I believe so
Go Kart Track @1.30 min
I think that is where Bond's Airship Hangar was outside the base (GoKart track @1.30 min mark)
Thanks so much!
Fair point about the heft of the beast. I'm so glad I bought the lighter 18v model instead. The 58v battery is fantastic for the AEG mower, and perhaps for the chainsaw.
