Phirni is a traditional Indian Samolina Dessert
It's a creamy and delicious pudding where milk is immensely thickened with nuts, cardamon, and samolina.
Phirni is best served chilled.

Rose Phirni
Serves about 4.
Double the recipe to serve 8.

To a non-stick pan, add:
1/2 tin Condensed milk ( 192.5g )
1/2 tin Nestle Dessert cream ( 145ml )
1 tablespoon Samolina
1 teaspoon ground Almomds
1/4 teaspoon ground Cardamon
1 large egg
Mix the above well. Then add in:
500ml Full fat milk
125ml Fresh cream
1/4 teaspoon rose essence ( You can add more or less according to your taste preference)
Few drops of pink food colouring.
Mix again well.
Bring to the heat and allow to come to the boil and then immediately simmer for 5 minutes over a low heat.
Switch the heat off, and while the mixture is still hot, pour into your serving glasses or bowls.
Allow to set refrigerated for at least 4 to 6 hours.
Top with the remaining half can of dessert cream equally.
Garnish with slivered almonds and gold or silver leaf.
Top with an edible rose.
Serve chilled.
