Drag Race Build - 2000 WS6 Pontiac Formula
Thanks for the video.👍👍
Awesome video, step by step, great commentary. I’m about to tackle this same problem and your time and patience with this video will be invaluable for me! Thanks so much!
Thx a million!! I will be fixing mine this weekend!
I’m so glad you’re using 75w-85. Literally all the other videos I have watched just throw in 75w-90 & say it’s the correct fluid. It’s not in all cases. I’m sure some of the videos I watched, they used the wrong fluid. Aside from that, I guess there’s a 80w-90 or something for Dana Splicer Max tow rear Axle. Does anyone know how you identify if you have that ? My Drive shaft says Dana Splicer on it, is that one way of identifying whether I need that fluid or not ?
You are the man. Great video.
Quit using cheap code readers. You must buy AGM factory diagnostic reader. And clear the ECU. Then when the first code pops up fix that problem. Otherwise you're throwing money away on parts that are perfectly fine. Once a vehicle is in limp mode it shuts down everything and reads codes on what it's shutting down to protect the vehicle. This is why you must clear the ECU first and it takes a factory Diagnostic scanner for that vehicle. In order to erase the ecu and relieve it from limp mode. Then proceed with repairing the problem. If you keep driving with dummy lights on the ECU has an internal counter that will put the vehicle in limp mode after 1000 shifts or 2000 miles.
This video helped me out a lot I appreciate it I got a 2014 1500 pentastar also
I mark my oil filter cap so when I tighten it I don't over tighten and crake the plastic housing and no one else does my oil but me .2016 Ram so far so good
my harness popped off also. do you know what wire is positive? Green & purple or green & white
What was the part numbers on the factory parts
Thanks for the video! I just did my plugs, drivebelt, and throttle body while following along step by step. You're the man!
Have 2 weeks with the check electronic brake system on and every video i see its the right front end i might have it check out
Awesome hilarious video 😂 You made it look simple and fun Thanks! 🫱🏽🫲🏼
The first tip wirh break ehile on the ground never heard before im young nd change a million tires but never thought of that thats that truck dad wisdom 😂😂😂
I found this link for the torque specs on the front diff. Plugs. But i do agree with you when you stated go snug, then slightly past it. th-cam.com/video/f5U-BvcCZN0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=A8t3HRsG1hITgpQD
I found this link for the torque specs on the rear diff. drain plug. th-cam.com/video/ostQyiNpewg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VqM_YsKPh04yLRhX He states 52 ft.-lbs At the 1:45 second mark
Just went through that. Now need to reolance the shaft bearing
Hey i just replaced 2 new front wheel bearings that came with speed sensors..now no signal found feim new speed sensors and abs ,service 4x4 and trac control lights on..heeeeellllllllp lol
Great Job and Thank you very helpful 👍
So, how many ounces would you say you need for a full flush job?
I have a misfire on #3 cylinder. 3.6 VVT where to start?
Sure have changed the oil cooler when you did that .
You get 300000 out of that engine. And you maintain 💯
The amount of work it takes to do something as simple as spark plugs on newer vehicles is insane
Thanks I have a 2013 and about todo the same thing, agreed make sure you have all the right parts !
I've had this same issue on my truck for a couple of months now and it's been intermittent. First thing the mechanic told me was to change the wheel speed sensor so we did that. Then it was about to be the master cylinder, CV shaft, and wheel hub. I just ordered the connector piece and Marine shrink wrap tubing. Should be here Thursday and I pray this is the repair needed.
Let me know how it goes. My lights just started coming on intermittently. Not sure what it is. Seems hot or miss on the repair
Just did mine, a big thank you for sharing this, it helped greatly! Was also nervous but it fired up and performs well.
i did the same thing but still on any idea
autoZone do sell them part# pt2160
Great tutorial, and one handed at that!
How long did this take honestly?
Its for drivers side. Use old one
Made me laugh. That was funny about the torque. You did great.
Amazon for the part
I've replaced mine 3 times so far, but to be fair I drive back roads and bush rds plus to alot.
Awesome video, I have oil in my radiator and apparenty this is the most likely problem. Watching this first will make my work go so much quicker.
It really did seem like a lot when I thought about it as a whole. Really, each step is super simple. Just take step after step and it's an escalator before you know. 🤘
Oh yeah, same problem with my 2500. Annoying as hell to hear that “ding” every 5 seconds. Shop told me the module is back ordered and would take a year or more. I don’t have your skills but thanks for putting this video together.
If you ever have time. Just follow those sensor wires from beginning to end. You might just solve the problem with an easy fix bro. 🤘
Everyone is having this problem.
Ram is fixing the newer models apparently, but left us holding the bag. Same issue with 21 -24 but they recalled it.
@@raggamuffin3928 now I found out that I also have the grid heater bolt issue. Way to go Ram. Still better than a Ford.
Dude! Nice job! You are not a mechanic like myself but you would've made a good one. When the "stealership" quoted me 1800 plus tax, I saved 2100 thanks to your great viddy. You are the only person who does this repair/upgrade on a more current Ram Pentastar V6. Next time spray all electrical connectors with QD Sensor spray cleaner first. It drys fast AF and will make some easier. I am not a pro but have fair amount of experience. After watching your video, it took me three hours. That included cleaning everything up as well as the empty long necks! kudos
Thanks for the props bro. I'll try that QD sensor spray out. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I had no idea. The stealership is just ridiculous. I understand they need to make profit but fuck...how extreme are they going to get.
YOU ARE AWESOME SIR! I am almost ready to mount the oil filter housing and wanted to say THANK YOU FOR all of the knowledge and know-how that you put into this video, and ALL of your video's! My valley looked as bad if not worse then yours, and they replaced it at 65K miles. I am now at 107K. But this time, I am putting on the Dorman metal housing...don't know if it will help, only time will tell. I have watched all of your videos. What's funny, is I couldn't understand how you were reaching the furthest back areas....until I caught one part where you said you were standing on the cross member! Holy crap. I'm 60 and certainly not thin...so because of you, I was able to do this! Yes, I am slow. Again, a HUGE THANK YOU for helping out the 'normal' man that is just trying to save a buck or two..in this case...over $1500 bucks! Happy New Year to you and your family! Semper Fi!
Dude. This makes my soul smile. Exactly why I hit the record button. 🤘 Let me know how that metal housing works out
i feel an instant kinship with men who swear a lot while they're working on cars,
Brother 🤘
I am now convinced that I’m just gonna take it to the shop for this
I have watched many of your videos and SIR you have saved me tons of money and time, TIME which I do not have. My father was a master mechanic...I am a master at figuring things out to save some money, but you sure are the ULTIMATE MASTER! Love your honesty, your can-do attitude and willingness to learn and make mistakes. Thank you very, very much! Semper Fi!
Brother, I have the same Ram truck and engine. NO ONE ON TH-cam has any damn information about our truck. I save your videos! My MAN, you rock!! Thank you for keeping it simple and helping others Years later. Keep them coming. Thank you for your time and thank you for busting your knuckles so we dont, LOL
Thanks a million dude. The whole reason I even made any videos is because there's so little info out there. I appreciate it. 🤘
had my oil filter / cooler replaced June 2023 , had a dealer do mine . Total out the door $ 1200. Why they ever re-designed this motor oil filter and sensors who knows . Great video seeing the whole deal .
I’ll never buy another dodge/ram Chrysler/Jeep. Complete Trash. Cash in a campfire!
Understandable.
Man my truck is doing the same damn thing I replace the sensors in the wheels and speed sensor and my lights are still on
Hey what was the part# for the gaskets and plugs
It's been so long ago I really don't remember. I'm about ready to do it again in the spring. I'll let you know then. Sorry
How Much did you expenses in parts I have the same problem ram 2019 1500 thank you for the video.
If I remember right, the housing was around $230. I got it from parts geek.
MTF ABS , now I will fix mine and drink a 6 pack seating on those MTF, thanks for the video
Hello friend Well the code that I have said ABS CONTROL MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE That particular part will be no available till few months Any way long history short after several months my ABS and traction control completely when off I don’t know what the heck but is been few weeks and not mor Christmas tree on my truck What do you think
Fuel injector clips that are stuck I had some success by using PBblaster on those suckers I let it sit a day or two and it helped but still struggled a bit and some red safety clips broke still more like chipped
for those stubborn electric connectors, you can spray some wd-40 to make it easier to remove. I saw a video of some guy doing this, and they came right out
Great idea. Thank you very much. 🤘
Great video for someone who is not a mechanic, goot work Bro! Just had to replace my speed sensor on the Front Driver's side on my 2016 Ram 1500 .
The cursing adds nothing to your video.😢
