Jim McAndrew won some important games for the 1969 NY Mets. Bill Plummer served as an effective backup catcher for Johnny Bench for many seasons for the Cincinnati Reds. Andy Russell was an excellent linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He went through the lean years first, then enjoyed great success when the Steelers became good enough to win Super Bowls. I remember several others on that list; as I age, more and more of my youth pass on.

Brooks was the best. I sat with him at an autograph session and across from us was Kevi. Seitzer. Seitzer watched how Robinson interacted with the fans, and he asked Brooks how are you so nice to each and every fan. He said well Kevin this might be the only time they meet me and I want them to see the best of me. That sums up Brooks, he was the best always.

Golden Richards was definitely 1 of my faves. He was on the receiving end of a TD pass from RB Robert Newhouse that was very iconic in SB XII vs. the Denver Bungholes (Broncos). His TD reception is the EPITOME of what the SB truly represents. Regardless of TV ratings; SB XII IS THE BEST FUCKIN' SB EVER!!!!! In fact; that's what catapulted the Dallas Cowboys 2 b declared as "America's Tesm" @ that time. The past 28 yrs since SB XXX.(the Cowboys' last SB CHAMPIONSHIP).may leave lots 2 b desired but they still have relevancy w/in the sports world.

The process the sportswriters use is stats. That is why non stat positions in Canton are under represented. Like offensive lineman and secondary defenders. Ken Riley just in after he passed away. He was 5th all-time in interceptions and yet about 8 other guys with far less got in before he did. The system is messed up.
