I have just been talking to a former GMP officer this morning at my business- Richard R. He regularly drove '444' in anger and appeared in the documentary about the car. He thoroughly enjoyed driving the Capri.

Capri 2.8 injection ... Police Car ... i love it

I really liked the footage. Range Rover driver looked like he was having great fun cross country - even if he got it stuck at the end! I thought the music - of it's time - added to the atmosphere generally.

Those Rangerovers are things of beauty, unlike todays that look good but nowt else about them, these though had it all.

Thanks a lot for this footage! It helped loads in modifying a 1/18 model recreating the D445 KVM in scale. As putting a link is not permitted, you will probably find it through Google.

A lot of this footage is from Oldham and surrounding areas. 1.24 is the now long gone Mumps Bridge in the town centre.

🤣🤣🤣 GMP Trying to look good, despite being one of the poorest performing forces in the UK. They didn't even know their policing area when I used to deal with them. Because they were desperate for staff more recently they took all the old crap back and even the poor performers from Lancashire.

What is that constant hum?

I wonder what happened to this car? I did a gov.uk trace, not foolproof I know but sadly nothing showing. But happily it's sister car is in this month's Classic Cars magazine as there's a feature about D444 KVM. It even gets reunited with its longest serving police driver. Plus there's great article about 2 of the capri's from The Professionals. Watch out for those cardboard boxes!!!

Is the two-tone siren a fully electronic one, or is it similar to the European Martin Horn siren setup (two trumpets + electrical pneumatic controls)?
