Hi, thank you for being so open about your spending. It's very interesting to me what other people spend their money on and how the prices are in different countries. I'm from The Netherlands and here schools provide most/all the stuff teachers need to teach. I was wondering if you get an refund for the glue for example from your school, or do you need to pay that yourself? Thanks again for sharing! Kind regards, Anna

Well Sarah, The students need those recesses/physical therapy times because it gets their energy out and it opens their heads in ways that nothing else can. In this era that we live in where adults have more freedom than Our Children do it certainly helps to at least have those things in place where kids can be at least a little more of themselves versus what someone else wants them to be all the time. Way to go, school for that. And it is also a breath of fresh air to learn that your students have parents who are involved with their kids' education because take it from me, a former autistic school student when there is educational backup from the parents at home that carries over into the school and it has its' own way of making kids' teachable. Keep working with them. - Dwight

Oh yeah...

You seem to imbue a sense of quiet and calm in your space. Be kind to yourself and take your time. We teachers tend to over-prepare and then feel that we've underaccomplished if we don't get through what we planned to do.....of course always be prepared, but expect that things will go slower than you anticipate. Allow for taking time to think and be. Children will thrive in your calmer space - no need to rush or pressurise (there's enough of that in the outside world).
