Thanks for explaining how you do Fun Friday! I have been hearing about this but I wasn't sure exactly what it was. Your content is great. You are an amazing teacher!

@@JoyceBlake7 Thank you!😃 The kids really look forward to it. We usually do independent reading for 20 minutes and classroom jobs at the end of the day, but on Fridays they get to play with the board games instead! I do all the classroom jobs like changing the schedule and putting the book return books away on Friday.

Where does the funding for school sports come from in Canada? Here, the majority of funding for k-12 comes from the district and very little comes from the students.

Funding for the sports equipment? Or for the tournaments? Or for being a coach?

I bought that ball myself, and we travel to tournaments using public transit which is free, and I am volunteering my time to coach😃

@@teachingwsarah For tournaments and coaching. A lot of our funding also comes from ticket sales especially in High School.

@@nathancordell6531 Our tournaments usually have no costs associated with them. Sometimes they may hire a referee for the day, which the school would pay for. Other times the teacher coaches just referee the games. The tournaments take place on one of the fields of a participating school. Coaching is done by the teachers on a volunteer basis.

@@teachingwsarah Awesome ! I love how you’re committed to your students. Not many teachers here would do the same.
