Peter Frampton; KZEW Live from January Sound, '75 - Full show; 62 min. (high-res audio; not off-air)
This is the full length audio (NOT off-air) of the KZEW-FM, Zooberry Jam with Peter Frampton, broadcast on February 5, 1975. Hosted by KZEW DJ, Jon Dillon.
The video contains search engine pics (Peter Frampton 1975), titled with the names of the songs in the audio, to make it easier to scan to particular song. Setlist and approximate video start times are listed below. Enjoy!
NERD FACTS: Audio was digitized at 24 bit/44.1kHz from a baked, one-to-one, 2 track 1/4” dub of the master live mix by Bob Pickering. Once digitized, it was cleaned up using iZotope’s RX and married to the visuals at that same rate. Combined audio/video was then exported as a .OGV file, so that the audio would not end up being compressed twice (once by exporting to a compressed format and again by the TH-cam upload process). This results in the cleanest possible audio within TH-cam’s constraints.
NOTE: Since 2013, increasing video resolution does NOT increase audio resolution. TH-cam processes audio & video separately. I suggest setting Video Resolution to AUTO to make the streaming experience as smooth as possible.
I'm aware of the intermittent pixilation in the video. This seems to be some sort of artifact of the OMV file that I uploaded. It does NOT effect the audio at all.

Rocxanne- All Along the Watchtower (single); 70's garage band
มุมมอง 822 ปีที่แล้ว
The band, Rocxanne (Dallas, TX), doing their arrangement of the Bob Dylan classic, All Along the Watchtower. (Please excuse some mangled lyrics. This was almost 25 years before Google…) The song was recorded in March of 1975 at Sound Techniques Studios in Dallas, TX. It was my first multitrack recording as an engineer and was done as my final project for the Recording Institute of America’s (RI...
1974 KZEW-FM; Early Rush Radio Promo
มุมมอง 5002 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a radio promo (KZEW-FM; Dallas, TX) from 1974 for Rush’s appearance at a local nightclub, the Travis Street Electric Co., promoting their first album. A friend and I worked for the campus radio station at North Texas State University (now UNT) and were able to arrange an interview with the band. It may be the earliest surviving interview with the band, as Neil Peart had only been with t...

The first Super Bowl commercial I mixed at Omega Audio in Dallas (unfortunately, this is the best copy I could obtain). This was one year after Apple produced the famous "1984" spot introducing the Macintosh computer, ushering in the modern Super Bowl event advertising. From AdAge: "Created by J. Walter Thompson, Hyatt's agency since 1978, the ad evokes "Star Trek" in tone, "2001: A Space Odyss...

Lynn Anderson Comeback 1983
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A segment from PM Magazine-Dallas in 1983 with host Leeza Gibbons talking about Lynn Anderson's comeback. Partially shot in our studio, Omega Audio. That's me behind the Amek console in the opening and closing segments. ("I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" is muted due to copyright restrictions. It's not a problem with the video). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynn_Anderson

Rare Earliest Rush, Neil Peart Radio Interview 10/17/1974
มุมมอง 34K10 ปีที่แล้ว
An interview with Rush I recorded in 1974 with my friend, Don Moore, asking the questions & yours truly, the "sound guy" recording, backstage at a nightclub called Travis Street Electric Co., in Dallas, TX. This was right after Rush's first self-titled album came out and Neil Peart had been in the band for only 3 months. You can hear Don say that he didn't recognize him (Neil) from the album co...
Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runnin' - dB Remix
มุมมอง 1K11 ปีที่แล้ว
My interpretation of this classic Doobie Brothers song. My mix philosophy for the song was a little dryer and a little more acoustic driven, with a different harmonica solo take in the middle and a fix for an out-of-sync guitar intro. at the back. This was a lot of fun! Enjoy!
Confused spider attacks computer cursor
มุมมอง 40513 ปีที่แล้ว
The other night as I was shutting down my computer, I noticed a spider had crawled onto my monitor. I decided to deal with him after I had shut everything down, so I went about closing documents, windows, etc. As I was mousing around, I noticed that the spider was chasing the curser around the screen!!. So I quickly grabbed my cellphone camera, opened a blank text document, typed a fairly large...

The ZOO - they carried the R&R torch (after KNUS abandoned rock radio). But it wasn't many years before the wave of "Q" stations started to flood all the major markets. "Underground" radio died somewhere along the way to Rotation Radio. Very Sad. Thanks for adding this vintage Zooberry Jam to YT. T-75

She paved the way for so many artists particularly the females. Before her the women of country were singing in front of bales of hay on syndicated country TV shows. She helped open the door to nationwide television exposure which was a huge deal for female country artists and for country music in general. It's unforgivable she's not in the hall of fame. They keep passing over her every year.
